Kevin Nash / Diesel There is literally one match out of WWF/WCW of his from that time period that I actually enjoy. Beyond that, I've always thought he was a slow wrestler with a lot of limitations on what he can and can't do. The one match I did enjoy was Wrestlemania 13 against the Undertaker, which I attribute to Undertaker's almost equal size and ability to move around better in the ring. Watch his match with Bret at SS95.

Mania 12, but yeah, his match with Taker is great. I think Nash had great matches with Bret and Shawn. His SummerSlam 94 match with Razor, IYH2 vs Sid, IYH3 main event for all the titles, Starrcade 98 vs Goldberg, Slamboree 99 vs DDP, and his BB03 match vs HHH were all good matches imo. His match with Sabin at Slammiversary(?) was good as well, and he was great during the stuff with Shelley and the X-Division imo. He had some good tag matches with Hall early on in his WCW run, but then he had to work less in those situations, which worked to his advantage. I'm not saying you have to like Nash, but to claim he only had one good or even enjoyable match is a bit ridiculous imo. I even think his TLC match with Triple H in 2011 was pretty good. To each their own I guess.

Bret Hart. He's certainly one of the greatest in ring of all time but I feel like people hold him in a higher regard due to all the controversy through his career.
However I thoroughly enjoy anything he did from 96-97.

lolling at the people bashing Bret. I guess its the new cool thing to do. I'm also guessing most of the people posting never watched the guy when he was doing his thing. Funny people say he had a "bad attitude" when these are the same people who praise HBK and CM Punk. I don't recall Bret showing up for matches and promos coked out of his mind or walking out because he wasn't happy with his booking. Bret put up with Vince's and the KLIQ's BS for years and kept going. Punk is unhappy because he simply isn't near Cena's popularity and goes home crying.
Anyway I'd say British Bulldog would be my most overrated star of the 90s. Solid midcarder but people act like he should have been the face of the company. The guy was always carried by his opponent during his most memorable matches and had no charisma what so ever. I don't think being the most overrated star only applies to main eventers. Midcarders can be overrated as well.

People saying how Shawn flopped as champion must forget that little thing known as the NWO. Jim Ross even stated he would hate to imagine what the company would have been like if Shawn wasn't as good as he was. How was one guy suppose to compete against the hottest angle ever? The taker mankind feud is what kept the wwf afloat for most of 1996. The majority of fans turned on Shawn because he didn't appeal to them. It also didn't help that Shawn basically burried most opponents try lined up for him and threw constant tantrums in the ring. Nwo was tough but not the only reason why his run was a flop.

Hulkster had some real downhill cornball promos and unfortunately was losing his touch in the ring which wasn't really a wide variety of moves or in ring talent to begin with

I'm gonna go with Shane Douglas. I actually did buy into all the smark hype from 93-95. I thought he potentially had the tools to be THE next major heel. Then after he left WWF and that horrible gimmick, I figured he would regroup and break out again. Instead he just made excuses, bitched and moaned, blamed everyone under the sun for not being a superstar etc......then he went to WCW and did a lot of nothing. And I could see why........he no longer impressed me in the ring anymore and his years of complaining constantly just wore on me. Still, I remember people saying WCW should have thrown the title on him. I'm not saying he would have been a worse choice than Arquette........but that's not exactly a ringing endorsement either.
