I am curious as to who he will play. Seems more appropriate for Lang rather than Pym. But hey, maybe he can pull off the arrogant, alcoholic, wife beating Pym. Somehow I doubt they will go this route with Pym, especially considering Janet has never been introduced thus far and I havent heard of her being added to Avengers either. Paul Rudd is a fantastic casting for Pym. HOWEVER, I really feel this could be a "jump the shark" for Marvel. Seriously...an Ant Man movie? Pym is a wonderful side character for the Avengers. But starring in his own film!? I know this is designed to setup the next Avengers film, but I honestly believe they could have added Ant Man to Cap's franchise or even another Avenger's franchise to get that story moving. |

Ant-Man isn't setting up Avengers 2. He'll be in Avengers 3 though.

I have no problem with Paul Rudd being cast. Matter of fact I think it's perfect.

I have no problem with Paul Rudd being cast. Matter of fact I think it's perfect. same as. I trust Marvel 100% at this point,they are 8 for 8 in my book and until they do otherwise I wont be doubting them.I have every confidence Feige,Whedon and the gang know what they are doing. events on the set of Thor II proved this beyond doubt to me. |

I'm very much looking for the exchange of words between Rudd and Downey Jr when it eventually happens.
I might be alone in thinking this, but I'm almost positive that Marvel is trying to set up the biggest ensemble movie of all time in The Avengers 3.

Another great actor to join the Marvel cast. He should fit the role of Ant-Man perfectly.
