Sometimes a move becomes so popular that the audience kind of forces the change.
When HBK became a singles wrestler, his finisher was the belly-to-back suplex, but his version of the superkick became so popular that it became his finisher.

I liked when Chris Jericho used the "Break Down" for a few weeks as a finisher which was real similar to Jeff Jarrett's "Stroke". Kane also used to do this weird falling forward powerbomb which was cool for a short time too. Break Down = Skull Crushing Finale

The Miz's Figure-Four Leglock was pretty lame. It never really got over and I'm sure WWE wanted that to push him into more of a babyface. That was just...so bad. He never did get it right, and he was doing it for MONTHS. Why no one stepped in and switched gears after watching him fail time and time again is anyone's guess.

I guess I'd go with Jericho and the Lion Tamer. It always had a more unique look than the Walls of Jericho(Boston Crab). I also kind of wish that Punk would go back to the using the Anaconda Vice rather than the GTS. The set-up to the GTS is a little too convenient sometimes and it doesn't usually look as good on the bigger guys, whereas he can hit the Vice fast and hard; I really believe it.

I can't think of anyone I'd want to go back to a former finisher. ![:-/](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/undecided.gif) But some former wrestlers who I wish would have kept using former finishers (as co-finishers and or 2 count moves) include the following: John Morrison (Moonlight Drive) Beth Phoenix (Fisherman Suplex) While I like the Starship Pain and Glam Slam I just think that having an alternate finisher is cool. And if it doesn't ever put people away it can still be a good 2 count move.

I would imagine that Sheamus doesn't use the Celtic Cross anymore is because he wouldn't be able to do it to everybody, which then becomes a problem if he did try it on say, Khali and dropped him or injured him doing it. I always thought Sheamus did a safer version than Scott Hall. Sheamus would 9/10 times drop his opponent on their back, whereas Hall more often than not, dropped them on their necks.
Another one that comes to mind is The Rock. He used The People's Elbow more as a finisher than The Rock Bottom after a while.

Anyone remember John Cena's move "throwback"? I remember in the Smackdown games from 2003-05 had that move in his set, and it would be a running flipping bulldog. He had a few good moves in the games that he should have used in real life, like the spinning out fisherman's suplex, or the grounded full nelson. I say it like that since I have never seen him use them back in the day, so I don't know if they were his real moves. I didn't like it when Punk stopped using the Anaconda Vice for a few years, glad he brought it back here and there. Same for Undertaker's Tombstone, he rarely used it from 2000-2004. I was a fan of Edge's Edgecator, but I understand it was never really a finisher. The spear is a better one.

I remember the Kane falling powerbomb, was weird seeing him use it in HCTP considering he hadn't used it since like 2001.

I missed Edge's Educator/Impaler DDT. Wish he would of broke that move out more often when he became a Main Eventer.

Didn't Undertaker use the Dragon Sleeper as a finisher for a month or soo during his Big Evil run, or am I making that up?

Yeah, I remember the Edgecator from Smackdown vs Raw 2006 when Edge took out William Regal. Good times. I remember last seeing Cena doing a throwback in 2011. Pretty cool move for a guy the size of Cena.

His cobra clutch back breaker was pretty sweet as well.

Ambrose has to go back to the Regal Stretch and Running Knee Lift. That Snapmare driver is "ehh" at most. Close....headlock driver and he does it better than anyone else.
