So, I ordered two items off of RSC on 12/20. I got the email and all, but i tried tracking my items, and my tracking number wont work in the UPS tracking system. Can anyone explain why this is happening and if it can be fixed? Does it have anything to do with the holiday shipping deadlines?

It takes about a day or 2 for there to be updates on the site. It doesn't show up right away.

Because UPS doesn't work on Sat/Sun (well not the the package cars or trailer drivers) so either the package was prepared after UPS last pick up and is sitting in their loading bay for Monday. Or depending where you are located they did pick it up and it is on a train crossing the country until it gets to your area. In which case you won't see any movement on it until the trailer is removed from the train and taken to a hub.
Until your tracking says "Out for delivery" the package hasn't actually been scanned since it was picked up. The trailer it wad loaded on has been scanned. So you won't see the movement until the trailers it is on are scanned in or out of the various UPS hubs until it gets to your local hub.
