So, I was looking around a popular selling site and I ran across a guy that's listing a Hasbro Bret Hart variant with black elbow pads and white wristbands. I've been comparing this photo with the original and I think it's fake. Look at the stars on the back of the trunks.  Here's the back photo of the confirmed version...  The stars are sloppy on the first photo AND they aren't in the correct spots. Am I correct in saying that the one for sale is a fake? Also, I wouldn't want someone on here to get suckered into buying a fake, if it is. |

I can tell the elbow and stars are hand painted. Does the listing say anywhere that its custom or modified. I know people will sneak those words in very carefully sometimes so people cant come back and say its a fake.

This is what it says word for word.
He changed it to 'not sure if its legit' after I messaged asked for more pictures. I told him that the stars are wrong and I was 99% sure it's fake.

It's miles off. Star's are wrong shape, not of equal size or even in the right position.
Paint touch up's/modifications would never pass professional grading.
You can't be too careful these days.

I have a feeling someone will get suckered into buying that.
He knows what he has and that its fake. He increased the price from $100 to $150 or best offer.
