First post to the board, hope some collectors can help me build my card set from the Popy figure series just need to find the Hogan and a better Harley Race. I am not looking for loose figures. I am wrestlingcardking all over the net and ebay, etc.

Looks like there's a Warrior vs Hogan POPY 2-pack on eBay that's ending soon. IS POPY a Korean manufacturer?

These were released in Japan in 1981.

These are widely considered to be the first professional wrestling figures sold to the general public. 1981. Before Remco, LJN, etc. Used to have Andre and Terry loose. Man, those were the days.

I was able to find some loose cards and Abby signed these for me. Thought I may try to get the loose cards from this set when I can find them too.

He should sign them in blood. I'm guessing at this point that he just leaks randomly out of his head.

I think these figures are awesome also. Are they absurdly expensive?

I'm not the one to respond to that question because I am fairly ignorant in the figure world, I have a pretty awesome card collection and am willing to pay whatever for any MOCs I can find.

I have the Popy set loose; all ten figures: Abdullah The Butcher Andre The Giant Antonio Inoki Bob Backlund Dory Funk jr Harley Race Hulk Hogan Mil Mascaras Stan Hansen Terry Funk
Andre was my cheapest: $88 (without s&h), Hansen my most expensive: $163 (without s&h).

That's awesome and I am sure it took some patience and diligence to find them. I am trying to pick up all the loose cards that go with the figures (17) and I am a few away.

Harley's the only figure that matches the picture next to him. Attire wise.

I am wrestlingcardking all over the net and ebay, etc. Awesome dude, definitely some of the oldest figures we've seen on the boards. I believe the oldest wrestling figure i've come across was a Gorgeous George doll from the late 50s.

Man are those nice! I haven't seen a carded Abby before. The few times I see these pop up on Ebay, I have to exercise serious control. Matter of fact there's a POPY Backlund on there now trying to tempt me. Id love to get some of these. Backlund,Race,Dory, Mascaras. ......oh hell .......all of them!
