 srsly whose idea was it to not have the ninjas (scorpion especially) in MK3? I'd assume it was to try and freshen it up a little bit. At the time there were only 2 other Mortal Kombat games, and they were both pretty dominated by masked ninjas. They probably didn't want to only be known for that, and if Scorpion and Reptile and (masked) Sub Zero were in the games, chances are people would jump directly to them and ignore the new characters. Plus, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 came out less than a year later with the ninjas on the roster. #RosterDLCin1996 Good point on the idea of influencing players to try the new characters. And in true "Super Hyper Ultra Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Edition Alpha Remix" fashion, it took em another shot with Trilogy to make the perfect, "canon" MK3. |

my only problem with teh xmens (especially, like, trying to start getting into them now when I'm well into my 20s and already have my favorite fiction and characters ingrained in my brain) is that there are so many characters, so many storylines and so many different continuities.
WHERE DO I START?
