I previously shared these in the Christmas Receiving thread in the lounge, but it was within a picture of a much larger haul of stuff from my girlfriend. I wanted to share these Daniel Bryan specific gifts she found for me.
First, the Mattel figures...
It was funny. Before Christmas, my girlfriend mentioned how they were trying to find an American Girl doll for her younger niece, and how expensive they were. I joked back - "Ironically, you could make me just as happy with a Daniel Bryan figure." She chose to take that as a subtle hint. She was glad I was so happy, since they were near impossible to find, she said. She chose the Entrances figure - "Because that's what he was wearing when we went to SmackDown this year." (1/8/13 in Miami). She found the WM Heritage figure, and bought it just for good measure. But when I realized what it was, I explained the sentimental value it had. How that was his gear for WM 28 (his first official WM), and how I was there that night. She was impressed with the happy coincidence. As we got ready to go to my dad's, she asked (non-facetious) - "So, do you like your dolls -- oops I'm sorry, I know you're not supposed to call them dolls." To which I answered - "I do, thank you. Did your niece like her American Girl action figure?" (She laughed, then pretended to hit me).
She got all this from WWE Shop. She originally ordered two tumblers, but was sent only one. She called them, and to make up for it, they sent her the other, plus one extra. She thought the piggy bank was cute and clever. I didn't even know they made WWE piggy banks before then. I unwrapped the face side first, and immediately thought it was an ALF bank, but was pleasantly surprised instead. Since the tumblers were loose in my stocking, we had no idea if they were dishwasher safe or not. I checked WWE Shop, and they weren't anywhere on the site. neither was the piggy bank, for that matter. I eventually found out you could clean them in the top shelf. We both thought it was cool that she ended up gifting me items that weren't even on the site anymore. It made them even more special.
Thank you for sticking through this post. I just wanted to share how lucky I feel about the type of girlfriend I have, and how thoughtful she is about what I like.
