^ oh ya... current stars did a solid amount of signings in Toronto back then... when WWF cared about Toronto lol...
i remember the Bad Boys signings a few times in like 1995-1997... tho i never went.. there was also a HBK and Sunny signing at a Walmart in 1996-1997 that i didnt go to either...
and the CNE Big Event 10 year anniversary show had signings too, but my brother only wanted to show up just before the card and leave (he went to original big event)... so i remember wanting to line up to meet Owen, Sable and Marc Mero but the show was starting in like 15 minutes and my bro didnt want to miss the first match

I believe the cne event was in 96. I remember meeting mr perfect there. My older brother met undertaker that day. Also hbk was signing that day but I got stuck in savio Vegas lineup. Lol. I also didn't attend the sunny and hbk event. One of the craziest lineups I've ever seen was in 98 when kane and x PAC signed at blockbuster. People slept over and there much have been close to 1000 people there. Keep in mind this was the attitude era and wrestling was huge back then.

I believe it was when walmart opened up at warden and Eglinton( across the street from where it is now) I also remember when tru opened at cedarbrae mall in I believe 97. They had edge and jason sensation appearing. Edge was a rookie, only on tv for a few months but still had a huge lineup. I also remember meeting sting the next day at future shop. Wcw And wwf were in town the same weekend. I waited about 7 hours to meet sting!

Hey guys, if some of you haven't seen the thread I made on the main Mattel board, I contacted my local TRU yesterday and got some prices and release info for the new WM30 figures. I'm going to work on getting the SKU's as well, but for now here are the prices:
WM30 Elites - $22.99 CDN WM30 Basics - $14.99 CDN WM30 Battle Packs - $24.99 CDN
I was told that all three of these SKU's would be shipping from TRU head office tomorrow. We should expect to see these in stores in the next couple weeks, so keep your eyes peeled and post those sightings!

I think they were in '94 though because Macho Man was definitely at one, along with Razor Ramon and Tatanka. They had to be in '94 because Savage was still in WWF at that point. He was in WCW by '95 for sure. As for the HBK/Sunny signing at Walmart at Square One, I was there baby!! I got some nice 8x10 pics signed by them. I still have them to this day. One of the things I remember most from that signing was how incredible Sunny looked up close and how amazing she smelled. She wore the nicest smelling perfume. It was awesome meeting them that day. As for the 2nd Big Event, I was 4th row ringside for that event. The main event was a Ladder match between HBK and Goldust for the WWF World title. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper made a surprise appearance during that event as well. It was awesome. I've been to many, many house shows over the years. From the ones at Maple Leaf Gardens, to CNE stadium, to SkyDome, to ACC, to Copps Coliseum and even the rare few that were held in Chatham at Memorial Arena, I was there. I still have the rare event poster from the '95 WWF event in Chatham which features Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine and The Undertaker on it.

^^ nice Mr. Old School..
i do remember Razor and Tatanka.... got my years mixed up a little bit...
myself, for some reason, we didnt go to wrestling shows very often... My dad took my brother to Big Event in 1986 with our neighbours...i was too young to go...we were Huge fans during the late 80s and early 90s, yet we actually DIDNT go to one Maple Leaf Gardens show (at least i dont remember, maybe my dad and bro did before i was old enough)...and we didnt go to WM6...i remember going to the community centre down the street from my house to watch WM5 on closed circuit... and this same community centre actually had a WWF house show in 1995 but it was all of the jobbers, the main wrestlers (bret, shawn, diesel, owen, taker, etc) were all in Timmins that day for another show (or maybe Thunder Bay) and the biggest star we got was Lex Luger....so that was my first WWF show that i can remember, at age 10...then i went to Big Event 10 year anniversary at age 12... and then i went to every WWF show ever at the Skydome, and every WWF/WWE show ever so far at the Air Canada Centre... tho i havent gone to the ones at Ricoh Coliseum...went to the ECW show TV taping at the Hersey Centre..VIP backstage access as my bro's friend was decently big during the Attitude Era as a local wrestling reporter..he ran the wrestling Talking Yellow Pages / Starphone... so i took his pass and got to meet everyone lol...

Cool man. I was at WrestleMania VI along with my brother, step-dad and uncle. We were up way high in the nosebleed section, but we were still there. That was an awesome event. And when WrestleMania returned for X8, I was there too. Matter of fact, you can see a few of our signs in the crowd that night if you look closely at the DVD. I took these screen-caps from the DVD years and years ago, but you can see some of my signs which read "Y2J IS TRIPLE H'S BITCH" and my brother holding a sign which says "Todd & Joel" with an arrow pointing down. Haha. Me and my brother were also at the ECW show at Hershey Centre. That show was friggin' amazing and remains my brother's favorite event ever. Even better than the WrestleMania's. We also went to WrestleMania 23 in Detroit and that was another incredible night. Also went to SummerSlam 2004 and was 4th row ringside and got to keep my chair. I still have it on display. I also went to the big BCW "Hart Foundation Reunion" show in Windsor in 2005, as well as the big BCW 20th Anniversary show which featured Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Scott Hall and Rikishi. I don't go to WWE events anymore. It's just not the same and my buddies don't follow it anymore either. We are all pretty much MMA/UFC fans now. We all made the switch and haven't regretted it for a second.

^^^ one of my biggest regrets was not attending mania 6. Even though I was very young at the time. I did attend mania 18, and unforgiven in toronto. By far my favourite ppv that I've attended was mania 29. We did mania, the hall of fame, and wrestlecon. Got to meet hogan, warrior and tons of other big names. I'm hoping to do mania 31 of all goes well.

^^ i went to basically all of those shows you said as well Mr. Old School...ended up going to WM23 using some package WWE had where u took a train from Toronto to Windsor, then a bus over to Ford Field... i believe we were on the Gorilla Monsoon Bus lol...
i never sat crazy close for any of those, except the ECW show as we were like 3rd row....at Unforgiven 2006, we walked into the show and saw that just beside us were these 4 girls that had big signs, each with a letter or C E N A 's name and my buddy was like "thats gonna get us on tv"..and low and behold, watching the show aftwards, when Cena is coming out, Jerry Lawler is like "there's some more Cena fans" and the camera goes to those girls, and my buddy and i are right there beside them on tv, wearing our ECW shirts lol

Not that I'm complaining, but it seems odd that the elites and BPs are cheaper than the usual $25 and $30 respectively that we normally see here for figures. Nice that the price is finally dropping on them though!
