A singles match between CM Punk and Triple H at WrestleMania 30 is reportedly a "lock" for the event as we reported several days ago here on the website. WWE is said to be planning another "Summer of Punk" storyline that would culminate in a CM Punk vs. Batista match at SummerSlam.
Take the news with a grain of salt, since that timeframe could conflict with the release of Batista's Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which comes out in the same month. Batista will likely be doing global promotion for the movie.

It's been said here that Batista's deal had some clause about him taking time off in the summer, so who knows. Not sure if I want to see Punk vs Batista. Might have to see what he does when he returns before deciding if it interests me.

I don't know. His contract is up in July and he's been playing that card he was last time to an even more extreme extent that he just doesn't want to work for this company anymore.

WWE can survive without Punk. So if he keeps b*tching and complaining I'd rather just see him leave than getting another "Summer of Punk"

I'm tired of this "Punk's bitching" stuff. And I'm a diehard Punk guy. But honestly, he's done everything besides close the show at Mania and win a Rumble. vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania? Check vs. The Rock, Triple H, John Cena, Jeff Hardy and Brock Lesnar in big headlining matches? Check WWE/World Title runs? Multiple, including the longest one in 25 years. I think thats a check. Multiple MOTYC's? Yep. Awesome promo work against the greats? Yes. Money in the Bank Winner? Twice. I'm sure the last 2 years earned him more money than he'll ever spend so no need to stay around for the money. He's fighting a losing battle if he wants the "change" of guys like himself, Cesaro, Bryan and Ziggler on top, because WWE is still all about Batista, Cena, Orton, Sheamus and soon to be Reigns & Bray Wyatt as the top guys. That seemingly wont change. Plus, another (a third technically) Summer of Punk? Good luck recreating that magic. Its one thing to have the first two because they were both different companies/many were unaware of the ROH one. But to legitimately pull it off this time, he'd have to do the indies or stay away until WrestleMania 31 season. THEN you have the title reunification match against whoever's champ by then. But still, people will just think he'll come back in 2 weeks like 2011. Therefore, if he's so miserable & worn out, just  ing leave. |

I seriously cannot stand CM Punk. Every year we get a "Summer of Punk" and it's sickening. He's not as great as he makes himself out to be.
I remember the infamous "pipe bomb" promo and everyone and their brother was riding his c*ck like it was the second coming of Jesus. I knew it wouldn't last but I'm glad people are starting to realize how incredibly overrated he is.
