Custom LJN Hulk/Andre/Taker Works In Progress (W.I.P.s)

Really appreciate the positive feedback from everyone. And Lamby, I've said it before, but you were one of the ones that inspired me to get back into this hobby, so thanks again for that. I've been wanting to do a better Andre for many many years. When I completed my first four customs of Demolition and Powers of Pain back in 2003, I sold them on Ebay and someone messaged me to request that I do a more realistic Andre for them. Ever since then I've been wanting to do one and I'm pleased with how he came out. I did rush towards the end, since I barely have any time to do this, and because of that there are spots I wish I'd smoothed out better. I was experimenting whether or not the paint would cover up these areas, and found out that no it will not; lesson learned.

I just wish I had more time for this. It's been fun. I still would like to try my hand at a two part mold and casting of one of these figures. Once that's done, I think I can check my box.

Andre looks like he weighs a ton. Awesome work!

Haven't touched these guys in a few months but I hope to get some time this weekend to finish Andre and Hulk. Glad to hear good feedback on Andre. Personally I think he's a bit too tall and I would have liked to make his hair a little "bigger". At some point I may take a little off his legs to make him a bit shorter, but for now I think I just want to wrap them up so I can at least have something to display.

I just saw this thread today, and it is amazing the hard work you put into making Hogan and Andre - among the other ones you are doing too!

This gives a whole new meaning to the term 'fixing up a figure' when it comes to head, arm and leg swaps!
