Got something pretty big in the works with a couple of other fedders, keep an eye out on Instagram over the next few weeks for updates! It must be big because you haven’t given me a sneak preview 😉 Looking forward to finding out what it is!

Saw you'd teased something on Instagram earlier, very inrigued, looking forward to seeing what's in store. There's a small chance I may be building an arena setup at the moment...

General question here.
What do you guys prefer? A 5 star match or a good build? From both perspectives, as a pic fed viewer and a pic fed creator. When you create shows do you try to achieve that 5 star match? Or are you more into the stories?

I try to build up the stories as well as possible so that when it comes time for the blowoff, I can put out a 5* match that'll do the feud justice. I'm not worried if there's a few 3* matches along the way as long as the culmination of the story lives up to the hype.

I'm not worried if there's a few 3* matches along the way as long as the culmination of the story lives up to the hype. There has to be a few 3* matches in their. But I get what you are saying. I was just wondering cause I am currently making the rockers vs the midnight Express, and while one of the teams have to lose I want to be able to put on a good showing for both teams. Obviously I'm still new to this, but filming this particular match has made me rethink about my matches. I definitely need to get better at posing the figures, which will come with time I guess, but I believe after watching your wrestlemania main event Stuart it kinda opened my eyes a bit to match quality. Which is why I asked the question. Cause I know some people just post random matches with no build, and people post regular shows, so I was curious to what people prefer. But I feel I want to improve my match quality, and try and give some of my matches a bit more time.

Part of enjoying a match is it being a payoff to a story.

I think they are equally important in order to produce that epic match. Dont get me wrong, I've watched matches, real matches of wrestlers I never knew and seen some great matches. And I have also seen some great builds and little or no payoff.

It’s all about balance, I suppose. With pic feds, I’ve watched shows with incredible matches, but they don’t mean much to me without a story behind them. This is the sort of problem I’ve got with Survivor Series, as the matches won’t really have any buildup, it’s just a launching point for the fed.

Got to have that launching point, mine was a Royal Rumble, to determine the world champion. My first thought was how can I start? I need a champion, so do a rumble and take it from there. I've started to write my shows different as well now, i write backwards. I have the matches I want for the PPV and then work backwards from there. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the survivor series show you do. I used to love survivor series back in the glory days.

You can start so many feuds in one match, although to a new fedder it may seem pretty daunting which is understandable. I take my hat off to anyone at any skill level who films a Rumble. Those things are no walk in the park.

Well originally I was doing stop motion, and my show was legends of wrestling, and I kind of cheated with my rumble, I started my rumble at entry number 25, my show was originally a highlight show, but I really didn't have the time I'd like to have had to dedicate myself to stop motion. I used to make Lego animations before I decided to do wrestling, and it was a whole different ball game. So in theory I never done a full rumble, and the thought of doing one is rather daunting. And I myself, take my hat off to anyone that's done a pic fed or fully animated rumble.

I don't think I could even consider animating a full Rumble, it would take forever!

Originally, I was going to do a stop motion fed called FWF. I made the intro for it, and realised there was no chance in hell of ever getting a show put together. I didn’t know about pic fedding until a couple of years later.
On that subject, how did you all discover pic fedding? I randomly came across a show featuring a World title tournament that was won by Eddie Guerrero. HHH then immediately beat him for the title, and I was pissed. 😂

It's quite cool to think about, considering I'm doing my second joint show with him soon. Full circle, eh? As far as how I got started, I did animations for years with my fed XWE. Then I came up with the concept for W3A which was originally intended to be an NXT style animated show in 2013, hence why my first series of shows all had yellow ring ropes. I was friends with a pic fedder/animator called fireballx90 at the time who convinced me to give pic fedding a shot. I made one last effort with XWE as a pic fed before dropping it and starting fresh a few months later, fully committing to W3A as a pic fed. I've made a few animations here and there but I don't think I could ever go back to it full time.
