How do you guys think of a backstory for your pic fed? I am trying to write one for my mine but i am struggling at the moment. I'll be honest with you...I only ever had a backstory for one of my feds, that being ASW. The story there was that it was globalising and breaking away from the NWA to set up on its own. I don't necessarily think it's important to have one. Yeah you have a good point! I got a idea for a owner type character so i was thinking of some sort of backstory for it, but perhaps it would be better if i didn't have one as it would be more of a mystery towards it.

So is youtube the thing now? I guess Instagram as well as Ive ran across a few....No more forums/old style of pic fedding? Is the art of commentary for matches gone? Is it just pics and (usually) horrible sounding music that doesnt fit the shows theme?
Just trying to figure out if/when I want to get back into this what the best route is.

YouTube's been the main platform since 2012. Most people use Instagram too to further storylines, that's where the majority of the community is these days. Certain guys like GCW, UWF and MDT use voice over commentary but I myself use music and have only ever had complaints from one specific person. The forum style is dead at this point. I was never a fan of it anyways.

For me personally, I'd prefer to watch a show play out in video form rather than having to scroll through and read everything. Some really good shows can immerse you so much that you can feel like you're watching an actual wrestling show. You just don't get that with the forum style, in my opinion anyway. I came from a stop motion background though so editing and uploading videos to YouTube is all I've ever known in terms of pic fedding.

I like both styles. I think you can tell more of a story with the forum styles and can watch it at your own pace, but I also like YouTube with the sound effects etc. There's room for both!

Absolutely! While it's not my personal favourite now, most of the feds that helped me when I was starting out were forum based. Can't deny the impact they had on my 'career'.

If you come back, do forum stuff. Loved that classic content. I can't make it through more than a minute of the Youtube stuff.
