Hey guys, I want to share with you a new custom feature I've been equipping my figures with (as an extension of my other custom feature, maxi-bendation). I call it "flexy legs": it allows you to give flexy pelvic joints to non-Elite figures. As Elite figures can be expensive, you might find this useful. See here for pictures and a step-by-step explanation of how to give this feature to your figures: wrestlingcustoms.wordpress.com/2014/01/14/flexy-legs/

Why would this be called flexy legs? It has nothing to do with the legs. I have old GI JOE (or something like GIJOE) figures from the 80's or 90's that have the same feature so it's not a original idea. It is nice to see you pull this off though. I'm sure animators would love this feature.

I'm sure animators would love this feature. You're right; I should have called it "augmented acetabulum mobility." Much more intuitive. I always thought the joint mobility of old 3&1/4in GI Joes was ideal. Very good for playability. There was never a claim to have had an original idea in that respect. The pre-Elite wrestling figs, especially their legs (or, to be more specific, acetabulum joints) are too restrictive for good playability. The natural solution was to modify them accordingly. What's original is the method of how to give this feature to pre-Elite figs. I'm going to try to pull off the same feature without using rubber bands by mimicking the design of Elites. We'll see how that goes.

I saw your comments on my blog and sent you an email. I'll try to get the Eddie up soon; I'm still looking for some gold paint!

... On the GI JOE figures the rubberband hooks onto the hips and the legs move like elites. Oohhh, I see. I have given maxi-bendation to a few figures with Elite legs. If I understand, that's basically what you have in mind. I'm going to try out a way to make regular legs move like Elites (using ball-joints, no rubber bands) soon.

Awesome man! Ever since i saw ur fexi-bendi on the waist, I've been thinking about adding it to the crotch as well. And to the shoulders.
Do it to the shoulders as well please! So we can have a proper cripple crossface as well as a proper yes lock.
