Is there anyone who could be a surprise entrant that actually be a contender to win? Like Cena in 2008 and Edge in 2010. I hope the Undertaker comes back and wins - or at least eliminates the Shield.

According to WWE.com there is actually only 20 spots confirmed. Anyway 4 of those spots will more than likely be, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Ryback (whom you listed) & Curtis Axel, since none of them are officially in the Rumble yet. As for the rest. Ziggler if he's cleared, Christian, RVD, Sheamus (if cleared) and 2 older name surprises although if I had my way I'd like to see Razor Ramon & 1-2-3 Kid.Excuse me? Did you just refer to him as Razor Ramon..really? Not Scott Hall like everyone else does? and to top it off you refer to him as 1-2-3 Kid..Not X-Pac..Not Syxx..Not Waltman..but 1-2-3 Kid.. Yeah. I want to see them in the Rumble in those gimmicks. I haven't seen them in those gimmicks in forever. Even though it's a slim to none chance of it happening. I know he was the Kid a couple of times on some non WWE shows, but I never saw them. |

Sucks about Barrett. Was looking forward to seeing him compete again.
Only other 'surprise' entrant I'd like to see is Evan Bourne.

Well Sheamus, Y2J, & RVD are all a safe bet. Besides those I'd say, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Cesaro, Swagger, Bray, Bryan are all likely also.

It would suck if Barrett wasn't in the Rumble. I keep waiting for him to be back in action, and I thought the Rumble would be the place we finally saw him back in the ring.
So if Barrett isn't in, that's 10 open spots. My guesses would be

I've seen a list which had Ryback, The Real Americans and Prime Time Players in it on a website, although that doesn't mean they are official, obviously. I'd say Sheamus, RVD, Christian are surprises. Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar should be in, just to give us 2 more possible winners, as only Punk and Batista have any chance at the moment. Even then, Punk looks like he is heading into Mania against HHH, so that leaves Batista as your winner.

Well, Sheamus and Jericho are booked for appearances in Pittsburgh on Friday and Saturday, so I'm guessing they will still be in town Sunday night. Kevin Nash is also going to be in the area Saturday night hosting a kickoff party at the local Latitude 40, so maybe he'll still be in town Sunday night too. That's three possible surprises right there.
