The time is right, I'm telling you. Bump one of the every-other-wave-Reys and slot a new R-Truth elite. The new headscan is as good if not better than elite 15. Also, as a basic they are leaving some of the paint apps off such as the nosering and sideburns.
Who agrees? I feel like they have mishandled Truth in general such as having that awesome Elite 15 scan but releasing a baker's dozen heel Truths with the cheesy outdated 2010 smiling happy friendly scan. Additionally, name brand recognition aside, Elite Rey doesn't sell. Yes, basic Rey is a perennial bestseller but from my travels and everybody else's reports, the Elites warm forever. I can still find Elite 15. Don't let Truth be like Swagger where he gets an elite every three years or like Otunga, who despite being on television every week in major storylines, never got a figure.

Truth has had 3 elites already, and I'm still good with E15, which is some of mattel's best work. I'd rather they make guys who haven't had elites yet, or who need major updates. That new scan is good though, just swap it onto an E10 :-)

the Elite 15 is the definition of "perfect figure"
however id like to see a more updated Elite Truth sometime this year

For a short little while that was how it felt. The fact is that since Mattel took over the WWE license, Truth has been on t.v. far less erratically than Rey, and I just feel that even with less name recognition than Rey that Truth has a disproportionate number of Elites. Rey is Rey, he's household name material, but if a toy line like this exists for current roster stars then it is failing. I collect basics for a myriad number of reasons, chief being that I actually like them but secondly that I feel like I have an incomplete collection with Elites and the lineups consistently disappoint. Truth has the stuff that makes Mattel great, a new awesome scan, lots of tattoos and detailed attires. I collect these action figures because I like wrestling, but I'm a diehard because they are great toys, too. |

I don't know about that, man. Kofi Kingston's only just getting his fourth Elite in the main series. There are a lot of guys way above Truth's level who only have four or five. I remember being disappointed by his Elite 10 figure because it was so similar to his Elite 2. I'd like a new Elite of him with some brighter jeans, but I don't think he's the kind of character that's crying out for another one. |

Back when I made the Rey Appreciation Month thread, I counted and I thought there was about 9 elites of him.(Two of which were exclusives)
On topic: A new R-Truth would be pretty cool. Even better if it was a Pretty Ricky.

Got E15 R-Truth loose for a steal on eBay so I probably wouldn't get another one. That figure is and probably will be the best Truth figure produced.
