Yeah, it's there. It's also better than the smell here in Hammond, which has a septic plant built near the mall in the center of town.

I don't think we're doing a good job of selling New Orleans to tourists anymore.

I was just there in October 2013 and the only place is really stunk was around Jackson Square where the burros were parked.

There was also one by Cafe Du Monde if I remember correctly. New Orleans definitely has it's quirks, but those quirks are what give the city its charm. If you're gonna have a lot of extra cash to spend, I'd go to Antiones, order a bowl of their alligator soup and baked Alaska then ask your waiter for a tour of the building. Very cool experience.

I guess so because I walked up and down and all around that quarter and really only experienced it in that general area. even Bourbon street was acceptable...

Did you park in a covered garage by any chance? If that didn't stink, I'd be convinced you sacrificed a goat to the gods before your latest trip.

I only had a car for one day and that was to travel out of the city. I've driven in the quarter before and decided "this is not for me". Haha!

Yes. Definitely yes. Antoine's is my dad's favorite restaurant, so every year we go there for his birthday, and instead of a cake, he has a birthday Baked Alaska.

I actually call it Spider City Ever since you've said this, I've realized how many spiders there are. Thanks for that. I've found at least one a day. And, since I've got a 2 year old I don't want bitten, I kill everyone I see (rather than just brown recluses and black widows like I used to do), so I know it's not the same one.
