Yeah the plastic feels lighter. This is the newest figure Ive bought in a while. As soon as I took it out of the box, I could tell its a lighter plastic. So Mattel are using less plastic yet rising the prices?! Dam that recession to hell! Haha

This is why I'm glad I'm an MOC collector. Just need Zeb Colter, and I'm done.

Looks like mattels craptastic quality control rolls on into 2014 after all. However I'm sure RSC will take care of you. They are most certainly not the problem. Just be sure to contact them asap.

Believe it or not, I don't know where you live but it could be because of the cold weather.

Believe it or not, I don't know where you live but it could be because of the cold weather. The leg was barely connected when I took it out of the box. I live in Oklahoma. It was 20 degrees here yesterday and right now its 62 degrees

Hmm well in that case it sounds like a quality control issue, which really sucks because you paid good money for that. I think Ringside will help you out though.

RSC doesn't make the figures, so I don't see why this would not look good for them? I would call/email them and if it goes no where, call Mattel. Vouchers can only be used in stores, not online. Did if not mean to sound rude, I've just NEVER had this happen with a retail purchased figure, yet these keep popping up on the forum from RSC orders. It's weird and concerns me, that's all I've never had this happen to me and I order 85% of my figures from Ringside, and get the others from the bay or retail. This has nothing to do with RSC. The only reason you hear about it happening with orders from RSC is because this is an outlet where people discuss orders from RSC. I'm sure this has happened at retail to many people, many times, you just don't hear about those as frequently.

I had Basic 2 Rey completely fall apart right out of the box. Like, his leg came off immediately, I picked it up to see what happened, and the other leg came off. It was too funny for me to be too upset about, but yeah, it sucks when this happens.

I can get behind this new cheaper lighter plastic theory. I think its noticeable with the Big E basic for sure, hes way lighter than he looks.

i can't believe they even make basics. look at that. It looks like a broken Toy Biz x-men figure from 1991. That leg articulation is archaic. It hasn't been standard in 2 decades its the same type of articulation used by DC direct. On figures that are twice the cost.

Its because Mattel only cares about money. You'll keep buying.
Cheaper to make, more expensive to buy. The Mattel ethos

This is why we collect MOC. But that's the thing. They ARE toys aren't they? They're meant to be played with..........

What is the difference between having a defective figure in the package or out of it?
