The OP did not post all the facts of the case. The OP did not post all the facts of the case. After executing the move, Jannetty recklessly rolled Austin onto his back, tagged in Michaels who proceeded to put the icing in the cake by slamming him onto the mat. I just simply wasn't aware of that; was just going by what Wikipedia had. Pretty unbelievable to think about what happened after, though. Wow.

Wasnt there video of the match at one time? I could have sworn it was recorded for Superstars or something.

If anyone happens to catch Marty Jannetty's Shoot interview on YouTube--I believe it's also available for purchase, if you're a fan--you'll see his reaction when this topic is brought up. During the years I went to WWF shows rather regularly, which was between 1994-1998, Marty was sort of in and out of WWF--therefore, though I met him 2 or 3 times briefly, I hardly saw enough of him to form an opinion of him back then. Now in response to the "rocker dropper" question, Marty answered the question, giving full, clear details. Yes, much was spoken about his "personal demons;" even now I think it remains a topic with the "old school" fans. Honestly, I don't know what upset him more--that this accident crippled Charles Austin despite Marty's frequent asking him,"Are you sure?"(as mentioned in the interview)or the hefty lawsuit that somewhat began this downward spiral. Marty does have his personal demons, but somehow I don't think he's vicious or evil. I do tend to wonder if he wakes up every morning thinking,"it doesn't matter that it was an accident; I crippled a man, and look where I am now."
