Obviously people live Bryan and want him to be successful in wwe, the crowd are so massively behind him it's insane but for whatever reason the wwe continues to hold him back from the main event.
Roman reigns has been getting some good reactions and the fans are taking to him quite well but unlike Bryan, the wwe are fully behind reigns and putting a lot of stock in him from the survivor series domination to the rumble record and runner up.
So why are their careers going so differently currently when the one, who is impressive, has been getting a lot less of a reaction that the other and yet is still being pushed ahead of him greatly.
Why have the fans not gone against reigns as he could be seen as taking Bryan's spot?
Thought this was just interesting and wondered what others thought of it.

I get that people like Bryan, today's fans are a strange breed that want to vote for the average joe. Roman on the other hand is cut from the classic larger than life pro wrestler mold, and hardcore fans will always be behind that even after the common joe fad dies down.

This fad has been going for a long ass time...

So Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho , Eddie Guerrero, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan are all apart of the average joe fad? You are a moron sir. First you try to say a crowd was trying to get over, now you're trying to say that the biggest star in WWE is apart of an "average joe fad?" I like Reigns but he has nowhere near enough charisma or talent to become a long term success. He will fizzle out and guess who will still be there? Guys like Punk, Bryan, Ziggler. I think he's referring to their size. All those guys are the size of an average person. Not really sure it's a dad though. It's the way wrestling is going with less drugs and stuff. People aren't roiding out as much so you are seeing a lot of smaller guys that stay in shape with alternative exercise (like yoga) and proper nutrition. Back in the day it was more about lifting big weight and taking stuff to make you bigger. You still get naturally big guys now but they aren't as physically imposing as the guys back then. Anyway, two weeks ago Bryan closed out RAW leading a huge YES chant. Tell me again how he's being held back from the main event..

See HBK, Eddie and Y2j had larger than life qualities about them, so did a man you did not mention in Rey Mysterio, Punk has the ability to talk, while Bryan, well he has the ability to chant yes, and no, those characteristics do not lend themselves to wrestling immortality.

Getting the crowd behind you is one of the most important things for immortality. King Kong Bundy was larger than life but was crapandcouldnt get fan followings. Being relatable is the most important quality, which he has........which is why guys like Punk, Bryan, and Austin are loved by crowds because everyone can relate to them.

Honestly, I'm being turned off on Bryan really fast, the fans didn't need to boo the last 15 minutes of the match because Bryan wasnt number 30, I was really into this years match but was getting put off because of the audience booing the thing.
Roman Reigns is near enough made by this point, give him a big meaningful win and theres the next top guy.

Anyway, two weeks ago Bryan closed out RAW leading a huge YES chant. Tell me again how he's being held back from the main event..He went from the most compelling main event segment in years, to curtain jerking and losing to Bray Wyatt (which I love the match and ending) and now seemingly will be rendered useless. Bray/Cena have the feud set up, Batista/Orton will feud, and Lesnar will wreak havoc until Taker stops him and Punk takes on the Authority. Where does that leave him? Not in anything of importance. They are completely and utterly holding him back until they completely kill any and all momentum. Don't give me the wait and see argument. They are tired of him being over and the crowd hijacking segments and matches. They don't want to pull the trigger and are doing everything to kill his juice. He went from a title chase from August-November, a mindless midcard feud, and now god knows what. Do you see the downward trend on the shows, even though his popularity rises?

Would much rather Reigns winning last night instead of Batista. At least it would be something new.

It's very unlikely that Punk will still be around after Reigns. And it's a bit hypocritical to criticise guys for lack of charisma, then support Dolph Ziggler.

Here's how I feel about this: Roman Reigns is pretty talented, yes. But I don't think that he will steal Daniel Bryan's thunder. You heard it last night, the crowd was RED HOT for D-Bry! Yes, Reigns is one of the "larger than life big men" that have come and gone over the past 20 years, but I don't see an adverse effect coming from Reigns to affect Daniel's popularity. D-Bry is gonna stay big with the fans for a while to come. I also feel Reigns will start to become a fan favorite as time goes on. I hope I can say the same for Rollins and Ambrose as well, but we'll just have to wait and see over these next few months what happens with The Shield and Daniel Bryan as well.

Reigns is too generic to get behind. Bryan isn't.
My opinion.

Because Vince kept his company afloat through some tough times and has sold millions upon millions of dollars in merchandise to people all over the world.
He knows what we want better than we do.

I prefer Reigns over Bryan myself. I love them both. But Reigns has that "Main event" look that Vince seems to love.

The crowds chant his NAME even when the man isn't involved in the match/segment. That has jack crapto do with a silly little yes or no chant.

To be fair, I think most people were behind Reigns purely because they preferred him to Batista.
