El Torito is the new Hornswoggle when it comes to things like this but at least Torito can work. Kevin Nash was the biggest waste of all. He looked horrible and could barely move. Nash's elimination was the slowest I've ever seen a man carefully fall over the top. Even Khali went over more gracefully. Nash looked awesome, at 54 he's in better shape than 90% of the 30 year olds on the roster. He got his arm caught on the rope on his way out which is why it looked odd. He got an awesome pop and it was a great moment to see him come out and eliminate someone.

honestly, diesel. he wasn't in half as good shape as he was last time and he didn't serve any real purpose.

El Torrito and JBL were unnecessary as hell. At least Nash gets a nice pop and has a history in the Rumble. Personally, the biggest waste was Batista because I have never been a fan of his, but more importantly, if they hadn't spoiled his return on Raw it might have actually worked with him winning. If he was a surprise entrant, maybe they wouldn't have crapped all over it. Might have felt like a consolation prize for DB not being there.

I didn't mind Nash at all. His pop was great! Hell even El Torito was passable. But I'm a little tired of the commentators getting in the Rumble match. It was okay the first time, but the schtick is getting old now.

Defiantly the stupid bull. JBL's could've been way better. I hate how they made him look like a joke entree

honestly, diesel. he wasn't in half as good shape as he was last time and he didn't serve any real purpose. Diesel wasn't in the Rumble this year, Kevin Nash was. Instead of getting technical about ring names though, think about what everyone looks forward to the most when it comes to the Royal Rumble: being shocked with surprises. Did you anticipate Kevin Nash returning as an entrant? I doubt it. However if you did, I have to disagree with your claim that he wasn't in half as good shape as last time or that he didn't serve any real purpose. Both of those claims are false. He looked great for someone who hasn't been an active member of the roster or been in a WWE ring in two years. He also did serve a purpose. He returned as a surprise entrant and legitimately was the only one to do so. To follow up with this question, the biggest waste of space in this year's Rumble was easily Rey Mysterio. He has been irrelevant for months and has sat out of countless Pay Per Views during that time. If there was another Pay Per View for him to take a back seat for, this one was it. Mostly everyone was disappointed when he entered at Number 30 and that's being gracious. There was no reason for him to come that late into the match if he was not going to make an impact. That number belonged to Daniel Bryan regardless if he was advertised for the match or not. Keep in mind- card subject to change!

He returned as a surprise entrant and legitimately was the only one to do so. him not being an active member of the roster or not having been in the wwe for two years by no means voids my original point - he did not look nearly as good as last time. i'm not the only one to mention it in this thread, either. he was clearly not in very solid shape and there were several moments - his elimination, reign's push to him and how he reacted to it - that solidified such a suggestion. he looked awkward and out of shape. if you think he looked great, cool, but look at his last rumble performance and then his most recent and tell me there isn't a significant drop in maneuverability. secondly, is being a surprise entrant when you already were two years ago and are active constantly on the internet really serving a that great of a purpose? i suppose you said just 'purpose', so fair enough, but i'd say it lacked substance, relevance, and performance and also took away a number for someone perhaps more deserving.

I was going to make a new topic but I'll just say it here: don't you think it would have been better for Christian to make his return at the Rumble then randomly on Smackdown?
I would've much rather seen him then JBL, Torito, and Nash.
Hell I expected him, Jericho and RVD to already be in it, no question.

I can agree with you, K5 that he was defiantly in better shape two years ago. However, I wouldn't go as far to say he wasn't in half as good of shape. In terms of being in shape goes, I think it's fair to say to he met those expectations but he did indeed have ring rust. I agree he looked awkward during certain spots especially his elimination but he was still a decent surprise considering the only other ones were El Torito and JBL. Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to surprise entrants in the rumble. Yes, his surprise wasn't the best considering he was used two years prior and yes, he would have been better utilized if he eliminated Punk to follow up with his storyline with him in the past (even to add onto the upcoming storyline with as being sent out as one of HHH's buddies) but I still don't think he was the worst entrant in that match. Just choice of opinion I guess.

Unfortunately for all the Christian fans out there......Vince and the gang don't really see anything in him and never have......

JBL and El Torito were two really good spots in the rumble. JBL was gold as soon as he stepped in the ring. The Great Khali was horrible and Rey was a huge dissapointment at #30
