www.wrestlingrumors.net/vince-russo-reportedly-back-tna/17118/It appears that one of the most controversial figures in professional wrestling history is returning with an Impact. PWinsider.com is reporting that Vince Russo, the former WWE creative member who later went on to book for WCW and TNA is back with the Nashville-based company. While it does not confirm what his new role is, it does state that he has been CCd on emails between officials and talent as of late. Russo was officially with TNA from 2002 to 2012, and was known for his rocky relationship with the fans during this period. He and TNA president Dixie Carter mutually went their separate ways two years ago, and Bruce Pritchard (who has since been removed) took over head booking duties. One major question during his tenure was his ability to work with Hulk Hogan after their strained relationship in WCW, though there were no apparent incidents between the two. Despite the report, the website claims that officials have denied the link. However, it is reportedly on good authority that Russo has returned in some capacity with TNA. I hope it's fake.

Congrats TNA you somehow find more reasons to be really bad at what you do.

I'm going to reserve judgement on this and wait and see where this goes, whether it be good or bad for TNA. TNA started to get better the further 2009 went on, and Russo was still there, so it could still work out.

Final nail in the coffin? Probably not but...why bring him back? He's not a good booker.

This has been reported as false most everywhere, so I wouldn't put much stock in it.
That said, aren't you the guys always going on about how TNA was so great before Hogan came in? Russo was around for all of that.
Russo is decent at giving people characters and the undercard something to do. So long as he doesn't book over the top gimmick matches, it might not be terrible. But again, reliable sources have said this is bogus anyway.

Would be pretty funny if true. But aren't the TNA shows all edited nonsensically now anyway? So it'll cut straight from a guy walking up the ramp in trunks to him walking around backstage in a suit etc, or someone saying "I've been trying to find you all day" when they were in a segment with each other three minutes earlier?

In all honesty, for every extremely shitty thing russo did wrong, he did something right. It cant get much worse.

So that explains why there were 9 run ins in the Magnus/Sting and Magnus/Styles matches.

As someone said before, he was there in 2009 when TNA was doing some great stuff. If it's true, we will see how it goes. But I don't think Russo was ever the problem. Dave Lagana seemed like he had great ideas, but after joining TNA nothing even close came from him.

I just, I feel like there are so many directions to go in with jokes. I feel like a dog at Pets Mart. I just can't focus on just one toy (or in this matter, a joke.)
