They are professionals they don't need to get there matches down. They have been doing this for Years. 10 minutes is all that is needed to call a match in the back, That's it. I know, trust me, been in the business for 15 years myself. Nothing new or things to work out needs to be done. The idea that you think a house show is a test run is kinda a slap to the face to both Talent and those who buy tickets. It simply is not. They go out night after night and do the same thing they would do during a live show. There is no phoning it home, it's against what every wrestler believes in. it doesn't matter if they work in front of 50,000 people or 50 people they will do the best they can to entertain those who paid to see them. It is driven into their blood from the very beginning starting in the indies. Also I'm saying to show 1 house Show a week not every house show. If a WWE really needs to work things out then they could do it on the shows that are not shown but like I said there is no reason for that. No one is saying that they are phoning it in at house shows. But if a guy is starting a new gimmick or an idea they wanna try, they have the ability to go out and try it during a house show. If the crowd likes it they bring it to TV. If the crowd doesn't like it than only a few thousand people saw it rather than millions. For WWE to operate on the level they do, their TV product has to be top notch which means they have to get stuff tested and prepared. Calling a match 10 minutes before you go out may be acceptable for wrestling in front of 50 people, but it doesn't fly when millions of people around the world paid a lot of money to come see a good show that has the kinks worked out. Think of comedians too. They travel for years with the same material in small clubs working their set out. Then, when it's ready they bring it to a large audience. I'll let you in on a little secret, It's all the same. They do the same exact thing we do in the indies, yes, They call there matches in 10 minutes before the show, even at Wrestlemania. It's how they are trained to do it, hell they use to have to call their matches in the ring as they went in the Kayfabe days. They are taught both ways of doing it if they need to. Just because it is on TV doesn't mean anything changes believe me. Wrestlers are animals of habit. Also like I said, They could do all that stuff on the blackout House shows if they need to. The idea should be to think you may see something special on a house show.It needs to be special again

I'm not trying to insult you but I'm telling you that I've personally seen the exact same match on RAW two weeks after seeing it at a house show. It was almost 100% exact move for move. I know wrestlers are taught to call things on the fly, but in WWE that only seems to happen if they are guys everybody trusts to do it, or if they need to call an audible. There has even been videos of WWE rehearsals and we always hear about Wrestlemania rehearsals.

Actually YES, I have been behind the scenes of both a WWE and TNA PPV. Reheashals are just in ring work you see. They do it before every show to get warmed up.

Ok well, agree to disagree. We both have our opinions and I don't want this to get confused for fighting.
I still think what I thought and you still think what you though. So let's leave it there.

That's cool. No argument ever needed. 2 Wrestling fans discussing how to better business is never a bad thing my friend.

So in other words, WWE should stop doing house shows and just have another televised show every week. That's stupid.

I see what you are getting at. But I guess my personal feeling, is that we need less televised wrestling than we currently get already. Now if we got rid of Smackdown, and they added a weekly "Best of House shows" type thing, or televised 1 house show a week, I would be more interested in that. Scratch that, THIS is an idea we need to look into.

It wouldn't work. House shows are more or less trial runs for later matches. We'd see the same matches 3 times or more in a week. Even the production cost would be enough for them not to do it.

Could be why they lose business on them instead of actually trying to make money off them.

If WWE changes that, then your idea would be great. Until then, I just don't see it happening.

I'd rather have a live Saturday night main event tbh. But I guess this could work if they show like 1 house show every 2 weeks on the network, but not EVERY house show.

I think you're trying to fix something that isn't broken. If you want to see a bunch of half-baked matches and feuds that only last for one week…just watch SmackDown...
