Just saw that, here's the article from LOP Jan 28, 2014 - 5:16:10 PM - Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin issued the following press release today, announcing that a grand jury will be investigating the 1983 death of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka's girlfriend, Nancy Argentino. SEVENTH INVESTIGATING GRAND JURY IN LEHIGH COUNTY TO REVIEW 1983 DEATH OF NEW YORK WOMAN Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin has directed that evidence in the 1983 death of Nancy L. Argentino of New York be presented to the Seventh Investigating Grand Jury. Argentino, 23, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died on May 11, 1983, in Allentown. District Attorney Martin has issued the following statement regarding the death: “Several months ago, I was contacted by the surviving sisters of Nancy L. Argentino, who died under unusual circumstances. I directed Chief Deputy District Attorney Charles F. Gallagher III to conduct a preliminary review of the investigative file and any and all evidence that was gathered over the past 30 years by the lead Detective, former Whitehall Township Detective and now Lehigh County Detective Gerald Procanyn, and others. “Chief Deputy District Attorney Gallagher has recommended that the District Attorney’s Office utilize the power and resources of the current Investigating Grand Jury in this matter. Accordingly, I directed that the circumstances surrounding the death of Nancy L. Argentino, and all evidence related thereto, be presented to the Seventh Investigating Grand Jury, which is currently empanelled. “Grand Jury proceedings are a time-consuming process, and it will take months before the Grand Jury concludes its work on this case. “Under the Investigating Grand Jury Act, 42 Pa.C.S.A. §4541 et seq., the proceedings of the Grand Jury are secret and may not be disclosed. Accordingly, I will have no further comment on this matter until the Investigating Grand Jury concludes its work.” Read more at www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/Press_Release_Grand_Jury_to_Investigate_1983_Death_of_WWE_Legend_Jimmy_Snuka_s_Girlfriend.html#ysgzjDQzXg15VLkp.99

It sounds cruel, but I'm glad it's finally going to court. I can still remember the headline of the Easton Express newspaper. I read it wrong & thought that Snuka had died. I used to frequent the place where it happened (George Washington Motor Lodge) and always heard rumors from the locals. I hope the family gets some closure from this. Here's more pictures & info if you want to read it. www.mcall.com/

So if Snuka is found guilty and/or convicted....are we going to put him in the same boat with Benoit or do we just keep turning a blind eye to it?

Pretty telling really and makes you wonder why it wasn't investigated further.

From what Ive read on it I would say he is done for......and why did it take so long for this thing to get investigated? Sucks cuse you know if hes found guilt the media will sh+t all over pro wrestling just as they did after the Benoit incident.......
You have to think this leaves Tamina in a bad spot.......wonder what will happen, would be very awkward and uncomfortable for both her and WWE.

Vince used his influence and money to get this case closed. I really hope that comes to light.

This could be the beginning of a very big crapstorm for WWE/Vince/wrestling in general/ and us fans. If you think the fallout from Benoit was bad.......man how much worse would it be if it comes to light that Vince helped sweep this under the rug? For the sake of the business, I hope this flies under the radar. But if Snuka did what we all think, some kind of justice must be served. I just hope it isn't headline news. And if it does end badly, how do wwe handle it? Do they erase him too? It would be hard to argue otherwise since the precedent has been made with Benoit........however right or wrong that precedent is.

If they truly are taking a fresh look at the case, then without question, one man they NEED to interview again is Don Muraco. I just watched the WWE 1983 Timeline clip on YouTube and they ask him about what had happened and I think you can tell from his demeanor that he knows the REAL story, but won't tell. Watch it at 3:32 of the clip and then voice your opinions: I don't think it looks good for Jimmy or Vince. I think Vince paid some under the table money for it to be swept under the rug and forgotten about. This case has come back to haunt him and rightfully so. Justice MUST be served. I bet Jimmy is calling Vince for advice and to make sure they get their stories straight.

I hope Vince didn't do anything illegal in this. If he did, then I don't have a lot of sympathy for anybody trying to cover up a murder/manslaughter whatever the charges would be in this case.
We only know about the McMahon briefcase deal from Snuka, I think, so who knows what is true. Still 30yrs ago, some people who worked on this could be dead, others may not remember correctly, etc. All this may lead to nothing, though it probably should lead to something.

Did the grand jury indict him yet?
