Seems like WWE blames Dayton for Batista's "pop". This idea is based on the ratings which were pretty good from WWE point of view. This way seems like no more PPV's will take place in Dayton on the times to come. Source:F4Wonline Of course WWE...what else?

Typical WWE response. Its the crowd's fault. In pro wrestling there is no such thing as a bad crowd....just a poor show.

Or maybe no one likes Batista?
That crowd was speaking for a lot of us here.

If they want to bury the crowds, then they might not show up at wrestlemania either

So what about the Pittsburgh/Cleveland crowd since the reaction wasn't good there? Is it some world wide conspiracy against Batista or is it because some just don't care for him anymore?

Wait was Ohio the PPV or one of the recent RAWS? The RAW in Dayton was the one where Batista returned, just before the Rumble. If this is true, it's a shame that the Dayton fans won't get a PPV because they didn't give a crap about Batista coming back. It reminds me of how WWE didn't do another show at Hammerstein because the crowd crapped on Big Show and, coincidentally, Batista during a live ECW on SciFi.

WWE's most recent PPV visits in Ohio: Columbus - Bad Blood, June 2004 Cincinnati - Cyber Sunday, November 2006 Cleveland - Unforgiven, September 2008 Dayton - King of the Ring, June 1993
Yeah, Ohio was in the high running for some upcoming PPVs. Also that building had 5-10k less than what WWE normally runs. I don't see this really being a big deal.

I thought his initial pop was good? The crowd were chanting his name before he came out. Sure, the second time he came out to beat the crap out of Del Rio, they more didn't care about Del Rio than Batista. Maybe they should punish themselves for not giving people what they want!

People need to not believe everything they read on the internet. I mean do you honestly believe someone from WWE called up a dirt sheet to give them this news?
Speculation is not fact.

Ummm we don't get PPVs in Dayton anyways. We had King of the Ring 93 but that's about the extent of it. So I won't lose sleep.

WWE never ran Hammerstein for years anyway, did they? They booked Hammerstein only for the One Night Stand PPVs and ECW taping, but it became clear that ECW tapings weren't cost-effective so it got folded into Smackdown tapings. Hammerstein hadn't been a WWE venue since the nineties, had it?

Also I think they stopped going to Hammerstein because it wasn't cost effective (it only holds 3,000 at max capacity) and I believe Hammerstein is booked pretty heavily.

But hey everyone make you you be good little sheep and watch raw and Smack Down ever Monday and Friday night. And be sure to order the WWE network as soon as it drops.

Maybe they should have worked harder to keep the return a secret.
