The only time it happened to me was when I was out looking for E16 Ezekial Jackson. I finally found him at a Walmart but he was switched into an E16 Heath Slater box. So it actually worked out for me.

I hate that crap.i have seen people steal the dumbest stuff (i.e. Kane's elite welder mask.) I saw someone who swapped the elite giant figure with a basic big show figure at my local Kmart. I think it may still be sitting on the shelf.

I saw a Final Count Stone Cold swapped out for an Elite Cesaro yesterday. The belt and the flag were missing. The figure didn't look like anything like the guy on the package and there were all sorts of empty spots where the accessories should have been. I realize people working customer service probably don't follow wrestling, but shouldn't they notice that stuff is missing and call them out on it?

how don't people get caught? Well most employees at big box stores don't care and aren't properly trained to deal with it. You get paid minimum wage, you get minimum effort. I bet some employees do realize when they see a switch, but they aren't taught how to deal with the conflict so they just let it happen. I'm sure there are some employees that do recognize and prevent these types of returns, but then the customer just comes back when someone else is there--or they just put up a fight. |

At my Wal-Mart somebody had destroyed an Antonio Cesaro Elite 23 box trying to get the leg tape. They didn't get the tape off but took the US title. Oh, and they took Macho Man's title too.
This was the 1st time I had seen anything tampered with a figure.
