utter garbage behind visually stunning effects. so sick and tired of the same recycled bland character types they use for these films who survive throughout all the carnage and are barely scathed in the process as demonstrated in this trailer. I have more than enough reasons to stay away from this film.

Ugh. I just hate these movies so much. Action is passable, but the script is atrocious. Such a shame too, cause I would love nothing more than a good live action Transformers movie.

Keeping in mind that I grew up watching Transformers as a kid - and the '86 animated movie is one of my all time favorites...
I find it extremely difficult to follow the action in the newer movies - whenever there's a battle, all the robots tend to blend together & it's hard to tell who's fighting who? And it's also tough to keep track of what is happening....
I also really dislike the way they just kind of select a vehicle they would like to become - and then scan it, and magically morph into it. On the old show, there was a little more effort put into how they became the vehicles that they are....
When you combine all that with the crappy plots, the movies just kind of fall flat.... and a lot of that blame has to fall on Michael Bay, right?
I watch the new movies because they are Transformers, and Peter Cullen is great - but, as an old-school fan - a lot of the newer twists on this franchise really turn me off.

I think it looks stupid but then again I didn't grow up watching this. If I did I'd maybe want to see it.  Its the opposite. I DID grow up watching it and I DONT want to see it. |

I'm excited to see it and as usual will buy the trade paperback of the movie comic's to see what little extra bits are in there.

Michael Bay is a genius, and a god amongst men...
T1, and 3, were fantastic. 2 was -- meh.
Stoked about this one. Can't wait. The new trailer looks awesome.

Also I have never quite understood the impulse to come into a thread about a certain film from a series that you have NEVER enjoyed to stress you don't like them though.

Probably better than 2 & 3, but not as good as 1 story wise. I bet the action and CGI will be the only good thing. Yep |

I was just looking at the toys for AOE with my Godson......and I reckon(maybe Im way out here)that Grimlock will be the only Dinobot in this movie.

I for one am excited. It's like being a little kid all over again. All those people who complain just complain for the sake of it. That or they try to be the movie critic equivalent to cork sniffers.
The only thing I will complain about is how Optimus is always a little hoe. He got smacked around at the end of the first movie. He got flat killed and mostly left out in the second. In the third, he gets all tangled up in the wires like a moron and gets smacked around too.
