I have a little fantasy in my mind that wicked cool toys will not try to follow in the monster machine Mattel's footsteps, but try to cater to the online classic collecting community. My first wishful thought is that WCT can obtain the rights from wwe to produce 7 inch wCw & nWo figures. Then we can all stop pleading with Mattel for all the wCw & nWo flashbacks we all want but no we'll never see. *not sure if this belongs in Mattel or Other?*

I hope not, I've seen their products and I'm not too thrilled.

I mean, the idea is intriguing, I'm just not sure if the quality is up to par with Mattel product. For some odd reason it wouldn't feel right even if they were in scale with Mattel figures. It's almost as if I'd rather have holes in my collection than have another toy company compensate for certain characters Mattel won't make.

Im just hoping WCT has something fun and different for us really. I don't want to see their version of every character and figure design Mattel has already done.

Pretty sure they have restrictions on what they can make and Mattel's lawyers certainly weren't going to sign a contract without saying they were the exclusive manufacturer of figures in that size.

If they will give us arena and ringside accessories that's good enough with me!

I hope they continue to expand their line but I think they've already shown a commitment to including legends by having lod featured in their up coming assortments.

They wont be able to produce action figures that compete with Mattel as long as Mattel has the contract to make them. So since Mattel makes WWE figures in 7", 12", and "2, you wont see anything like that made by Wicked Cool Toys. The only reason they can make a real scale ring, is because Mattel has no interest in making one and undoubtedly signed away the rights.

Jeremy is an asset to the wrestling collector. Anything he is involved in wrestling wise is a good thing.

To everyone constantly bashing Wicked Cool Toys: WCT is an upstart company and is still finding it's legs. Being new, it will not be able to produce the same quality as an already-established company. To compare WCT to Jakks or Mattel after only a year of existence is entirely unfair. Give them time; if it doesn't improve, then hate. Oh, look, it's an incredibly blocky, oddly painted, terrible looking toy that had the action of it's head flying off from McFarlane's early years. Thank you. That is all.

Won't happen. Mattel will be releasing anyone who is worth releasing, and it's not worth anyone's time or money signing and sculpting the scrubs that don't warrant a Flashback slot. The market for Vincent and Wrath figures is very small. Plus the figures would be different to both Mattel and Jakks, which cuts the audience down even further. Jeremy is an asset to the wrestling collector. Anything he is involved in wrestling wise is a good thing. Except the Jakks lines.

You have to be kidding, Jeremy is the reason we had the Classic Superstars line and the Real Scale Ring. They may not be your cup of tea, but they were a major success.

that figure is 20 years old ...and for the time, that Mcfarlane figure was probably better than anything else on the pegs.

that figure is 20 years old ...and for the time, that Mcfarlane figure was probably better than anything else on the pegs. Here is the comic that came with it: As you can see, he barely resembles it. The colors are even wrong. Now, here's what Marvel was putting out at the same time: They look exactly like their comic/TV counterparts, can move at both the hips and neck, and had much more creative and useful actions/accessories. Still not convinced? Here's another gem from McFarlane's beginnings: It's a Bend Em, and the only plastic parts (the jaw and horn at the top to make it open and close) fell off pretty much instantly. My point isn't to crap on McFarlane; my point is that you are unfairly comparing a company that's just learning to walk to one of the biggest and oldest ones in the world. It's not fair.
