Jeremy is an asset to the wrestling collector. Anything he is involved in wrestling wise is a good thing. I agree wholeheartedly. I have dreams that WCT can become Jordan to Nike, a awesome sub brand, if u will.

You're not going to see figures from them like Mattel. I'm personal friends with Jeremy for many years since he was at Jakks. You're going to see things Mattel won't do, like keychains, bobble heads, thumbpers, etc. They are able to do an official scale ring since nobody else is doing one. Hope that makes sense?
Mattel has the rights to 6" WWE figures, WCT does not, so they will make other WWE products. It's just like how the Bridge Connect is able to make the STACKDOWN toys. They're sharing a license but making different products.

I hope they continue to expand their line but I think they've already shown a commitment to including legends by having lod featured in their up coming assortments.

...My point isn't to crap on McFarlane; my point is that you are unfairly comparing a company that's just learning to walk to one of the biggest and oldest ones in the world. It's not fair. Oh, I agree with that. Spawn and Medieval Spawn were pretty good, though.

I'll give you Medieval Spawn, but the regular Spawn was blue instead of black and, other than the cape, just kind of an average figure. He honestly looked like a bootleg.

I still have Spawn & Medieval Spawn from series 1....and those figures were as good if not better than anything else in 1994. Especially the paint. don't even get me started on that awful Iron Man toyline......or the Silver Samurai figure. U do realize the only leg articulation it had was at the knees? Toy Biz.....gone McFarlane......still around so im not sure what analogy that dudes is even trying to make. Are we supposed to not judge Wicked Cool Toys till 2034? When they have 20 years of toymaking under their belt? And who's comparing Mattel to Wicked? Does Mattel make thumb wrestlers, piggy banks and keychains?

When they have 20 years of toymaking under their belt? And who's comparing Mattel to Wicked? Does Mattel make thumb wrestlers, piggy banks and keychains? First off, you should probably quote me if you're going to debate me rather than someone else. Second, people are crapping on Wicked Cool Toys everywhere and comparing them to Mattel. I wasn't referring to posts only in this thread. Third, I didn't remember the Silver Samurai figure only having knee articulation; I just remember the figure looking exactly like the character. Also, choosing Beast wasn't for the ankle joint, it was for the sculpt. Honestly, I didn't even set out to use him, he just happened to be a figure that came out in the same year. As for the Spawn toys, as I said, the Medieval Spawn was badass, but the regular Spawn was the wrong color. Also, when it was time to play, the cape was pretty much worthless, because not only did it not move (like, say, the fabric capes Batman toys had six years prior), but the folds on it would tear from being such thin plastic. And, no, I'm not saying you have to wait 20 years, I'm just saying everything sucks in the first year (a concept which doesn't apply to just toys). Within the next year or two McFarlane was blowing away the competition, but naming one or two figures from their first year as being good is no different than what you accused me of doing by pointing out Beast's ankle articulation. Finally, I said I'm not crapping on McFarlane, so saying ToyBiz isn't around anymore means nothing. And, anyway, for the record, ToyBiz isn't around anymore because Marvel wanted to outsource their action figures to Hasbro and ToyBiz was a Marvel subsidiary; it had nothing to do with quality.

i couldn't quote u....ur post was all pics. I understand the point ur trying to make. Its just a bad analogy especially since 2 months after that Overtkill figure came out.....they released a 15" figure w/ 14 pts of articulation......that pretty much blows away anything else that was on pegs at the time

And why not quote me that time? Anyway, comparing a 15" figure with a 5" one is pretty unfair, don't you think? As for my analogy, it's not bad because I'm not saying Wicked Cool Toys is going to be the next McFarlane; I was using one of the most world-renowned toy companies as an example to show that every company needs to get over that hump at first before they figure out what they're going to do. That goes for anything dealing with creation, for that matter. Technically, it wasn't an analogy at all. It was an example. Sorry if I'm being a dick; I'm just in a really bad mold right now, so I'm probably being more aggressive than I normally would be.

Most of ur txt was captioning a picture. If i quoted u and deleted the pic......the words have no context.
Yeh. U can't really compare a 5" figure to the 15" figure. But they came out only 2 months apart....so it was in production at the same time. And they are from the same collection and toy line.

But they came out only 2 months apart....so it was in production at the same time. And they are from the same collection and toy line. A major part of toy creation when those lines were coming out was shrinking the sculpt to the final size, so I still don't think it makes a difference. For all I know, every single one of McFarlane's toys would've been works of art from the start if they were 15". The point remains the same, be it the sculpting itself or shrinking the sculpt, they hadn't mastered the technique right away. As far as the 2 months thing goes, McFarlane can out sculpt practically every other toy company out there, so them having the process sped up isn't without question. Also, at that time, McFarlane himself was selling the #1 comic through a company he owned during both comics' and action figure's highest selling period. Furthermore, McFarlane is known to be a ridiculously shrewd business man, so I'm sure he sank more money into his company than Wicked Cool Toys are even able to at this point, not only because he had the capital to, but also because he would give his all to turn 99¢ into $1, and action figures at the time were a huge money maker. So, yeah, McFarlane would definitely improve faster than average.

This is not meant to be a knock in any way I know WCT is just getting it's feet off the ground here, but their merch looks like it has dollar general written all over it from those pics.

As of now, I completely agree. The paint looks almost hand-done because of the odd coloring and it makes the plastic look cheap. But, this is just the first step, so hopefully by the end of the year, things will work out for them. They're definitely improving if you look at the giant Cena, but it does still look a little like a Real Doll.

I had that Violator bend-em figure. I thought it was awesome. I got Medieval Spawn (great figure) and Clown (looked great, but had zero articulation or maybe one arm, and the changing head) at the same time, too. They were really cheap at a toy shop when I was on vacation and it was those figures that kinda got me into comics.
