The Path of Rage BeginsJanuary 1996 saw the start of the Path of Rage, when Taz choked out FMW fighter Koji Nakagawa. Later in the Queens, New York debut show, the former WWF Superstar Mantaur made his ECW debut. As expected, the fans didn’t take to the WWF reject, so 911 came out and took out the trash with a Chokeslam. This raised the ire of Bill Alfonso, who was still claiming that the Chokeslam was banned. 911 was about to put his hands on Alfonso, until Taz stopped him. 911 tried to intimate Taz by dropping Mantaur with another Chokeslam, but Taz would not flinch, a first for ECW. What followed next was an impressive string of victories (Either scheduled or unscheduled fights) for Taz. From Triple Crown winners like Mikey Whipwreck to Hart Dungeon Survivors like Chris Jericho to Lucha Libre legends like Rey Mystero Jr. to WrestleMania headliners like Bam Bam Bigelow, no one was save from the Path of Rage. At the heart of the Path of Rage was one man who refused to accept Taz’s challenge, one man, the only man, who Taz wanted to choke out. That man was Sabu. All About RespectThere was one man who debuted at the beginning of the year, who took ECW by storm, Rob Van Dam. One of his earliest match ups was against Sabu. It was a hard fought match that ultimately had no winners. The crowd loved the match and Sabu was impressed by Van Dam’s ability to hang with him throughout the whole ordeal. He was so impressed, he offered his hand in respect to Van Dam. Rob showed his arrogance though, when he walked away from the handshake. This led to a Respect Match in May; the loser must shake the victors’ hand. It was another hard fought match that ended when Van Dam spiked Sabu on his neck via a Fishermen’s Buster from the top. Sabu was injured, but he was a man of his word, as he held out his hand towards Van Dam. Rob refused to shake Sabu’s hand again, stating that he was a piece of crap. Van Dam left the ring and just so happened to bump into Taz and Bill Alfonso in the aisle way. Alfonso and Van Dam shared some words, while Damage Control strapped Sabu to a stretcher. Taz silently watched on. Family FeudIn the latter half of 1995, ECW became hosts to the dysfunctional Dudley clan. There was the very outspoken Sign Guy Dudley, potato chip eating Chubby Dudley, the Lucha loving, Spanish speaking Dance with Dudleys, the linguistic extraordinaire Buh Buh Ray Dudley, and the patriarch of the clan Big Dick Dudley. Big Dick injured his knee and missed the majority of 1996. It was during his leave when a new Dudley came to ECW, the abusive, intimidating, righteous D-Von Dudley. D-Von took over as leader of the clan and he maintains this position through beatings handed down to his brothers. Raven: ECW World Heavyweight Champion Raven started out the year on a bad note, as the love of his live, Beulah McGuillicutty, left him for his former childhood friend, Tommy Dreamer. Things would improve a few weeks later when he defeated The Sandman for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. He also had a new plaything by his side, Kimona Wanalaya. Raven immediately had a target placed on his back, as the Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and the returning Shane Douglas were vying for his title. Raven had no other choice then to seek help and he did that when he had the returning Bruise Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) turn on Tommy Dreamer. He later welcomed “Prime Time” Brian Lee into his Nest. All was not good for Raven though, as once again, Kimona left Raven, this time for Beulah. Meanwhile, Raven’s lackey, Stevie Richards has been embroiled over a legal dispute with Missy Hyatt, all over Missy making out with Richards early in the year. Eliminators: ECW World Tag Team Champions The Eliminators reign on top of the tag team scene began in February, after they defeated Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck. Their first challengers were longtime rivals, the Pit Bulls. After the Eliminators were successful over the Mad Dogs of War, their next challengers stepped up - New Jack and Mustafa, the Gangstas. The Eliminators answered the challenge by sandwiching New Jack between two tables and dropped him with Total Elimination. They’ve meet twice since then – one time was in a six man tag where New Jack pinned Saturn and the second time was a title match, where the Eliminators defeated the Gangstas. They are signed to meet for a third time at Fight the Power. The Franchise: ECW World Television ChampionThe Franchise, Shane Douglas’ only goal when coming back to ECW was to recapture the ECW World Heavyweight title. He had his chance in March, only to lose that chance to the champion, Raven. Frustrated, Douglas got into a fight with then ECW World Television champion, 2 Cold Scorpio. A match ensued and the Franchise won the belt. Problem was that Douglas felt like the World Television title was beneath him. He has no respect for the title. -- ROSTER –- (Face, Heel) 2 Cold Scorpio

ECW Hardcore TV #91 - June 4, 1996 The show opens with Joey Styles in the ring. “Hello everyone and welcome to EXTREME Championship Wrestling! I'm Joey Styles, coming to you from the House of Hardcore – the ECW Arena in beautiful South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! And tonight, the action you are seeing is coming to you from Fight the Power! My guests at this time are “Dancing” Stevie Richards and the ECW World Heavyweight champion… Raven!” “Come Out and Play” by the Offspring blares over the PA System as Raven emerges from behind the black curtain, with Stevie Richards trailing not far behind. Raven looks to be in a fouler mood than normal, as he stands to the right of Joey Styles, while Stevie stands to the left. Raven is glaring at Stevie. “Don’t you two look like the happy couple…” comments Joey Styles. Raven turns his head towards Joey, which frightens him. Richards takes the mic, as he is the one who requested this interview time. “Raven, boss, two weeks ago you gave me a mission and that mission was to find the most disgusting, dirtiest, filthiest, ugliest, *BEEEEP* I’ve ever seen and give her to you. Well, I think I have found what you’re looking for. Without further ado, from the Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California, Raven, I give to you Ms. Divine Brown!” A sultry, ebony, beauty is led to the ring by Nova. Raven doesn’t look too happy, as Divine Brown enters the ring and jumps into Richards’ arms. “She’s good to go, trust me I know. She’ll let you do anything to her boss...” “Richards, she hasn’t been with enough men. I don’t want her.” Is all Raven can say, as he leaves the ring.
The intro comes to a close and we go to Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. Joey comments on how if Divine Brown, who is most famous for, uh, “being” with Hue Grant – hopefully Joey doesn’t get sued for that – If that’s not enough for Raven, then who is? Sure, Raven has been scorned recently by Beulah and Kimona, Joey gets it, but now he wants the lowest of the low. He’s tasked that clueless putz to find this woman. Well, all he can say is… Good luck Stevie!
Now on to tonight’s show. We have a packed show for tonight, as you will see a Six Man Elimination tag team match with Falls Counting Anywhere in the ECW Arena, as Raven’s Triangle of Terror, the Bruise Brothers and “Prime Time” Brian Lee goes against The Pit Bulls and Tommy Dreamer, and because of Richards’ big mouth, if either of the Pit Bulls or Tommy Dreamer survives the match, then they will face Raven for the ECW World Heavyweight title somewhere down the line. It’s also Shoot Fight 96, as the Orange and Black Attack, Taz will face a man trained in Muay Tai boxing and a survivor of the Hart Dungeon, Jason Helton. Speaking of Taz, he has been at the center of controversy recently, as he and Bill Alfonso have been rumored of giving Rob Van Dam inside information on a previous neck injury that Sabu suffered in 1994. If the rumors turn out to be true, then Taz is just as responsible for Sabu being sent to the hospital as Rob Van Dam is. Sabu is scheduled to return to the ring on June 22nd, for Hardcore Heaven 1996. He is signed for a rematch against Rob Van Dam and that is sure to be a heated contest.
****************************** “Epic” by Faith No More plays, as we cut to Lance Wright.
“I’m Lance Wright with the Extreme deal of the week; ECW Home Video presents the Hardcore Heaven History Package. Hardcore Heaven 94 saw the legendary Terry Funk battle Cactus Jack, while the Public Enemy found themselves under a sea of chairs, as the ECW Arena erupted. Mikey Whipwreck beats up the Sexiest Man in the World, as Sabu battles 2 Cold Scorpio for the first time in the ECW Arena. Plus, you’ll get Hardcore Heaven 95, where you’ll see the Gangstas first ever match up against the Public Enemy. The Sandman, with his Singapore cane, defends the ECW World Heavyweight title against Cactus Jack, whose hand is wrapped in Barbed Wire. Raven and Richards defend the ECW World Tag Team titles against Tommy Dreamer and Luna Vachon. And has it been a year already? The Franchise Shane Douglas’ infamous departure from ECW…”
****************************** 1) Shoot Fight - Taz vs. Jason Helton:
We cut to the ring, as “War Machine” by KISS starts to play over the PA System and soon into it, the annoying whistle of Bill Alfonso is heard. He leads the way, as Team Taz comes marching to the ring, Taz marching in the middle of the pack. Jason Helton is already in the ring, as Bill Alfonso takes the mic, “I AM BILL ALFONSO!” Joel Gertner is handed back the mic and he makes the introduction. This match will be contested under Shoot Fight rules; You can only win via submission or knock out, no pin falls. The two start out with a simple lock up. Taz takes Helton down and gets off of Jason. He’s just showing Jason that he can take him down whenever he wants. Taz toys with Jason once again, but this time Jason answers back by firing off several elbow strikes to the back of Taz’s head. Taz looks like he doesn’t care, but it’s a bluff, as he begins to dump Jason with a T-Bone Tazplex, followed closely by an Overhead Belly to Belly Tazplex, which is then closely followed with a German Tazplex. Jason is not moving, so Taz decides to end it by applying the Tazmission. Referee John Finnegan calls for the bell seconds later. Winner: Taz (Submission > Tazmission | 4:19)
Bill Alfonso takes the mic from Joel Gertner and he gives it to Taz. Taz paces around the ring, shaking his head. He has beaten and choked out everyone that the so called dirtsheets claimed would stop him. Bam Bam Bigelow was supposed to stop Taz - Taz choked his ass out in less than a month of being here and now he was gone. Next was Chris Jericho, the last survivor of Stu Hart’s infamous dungeon. Jericho couldn’t last more than three minutes with Taz. 911, please, that *BLEEP* couldn’t do *BLEEP* to Taz. The list continues to grow. No one has stepped up and challenged Taz. No one. “So who’s next? Who am I going to punk out and choke out next? How ‘bout Bret Hart? That **** Shawn Michaels? Or how ‘bout that no good bunghole Ric Flair? Hey nature boy, *BEEP* you. So who is it gonna be?” Taz pauses as he notices UFC Fighter “The Alaskan Polar Bear” Paul Varelans sitting in the front row. “Hey, look at what we got here, an Ultimate Fighter… I can guarantee that no one, not even this Ultimate Fighter can stop the path of rage…”
That comment gets to Paul Varelans, as he steps up out of his seat and stares at Taz. Lance Wright rushes over to get comments from Paul Varelans. “Hey big man, if you have something to say, then say it to my face…” Taz is calling out Paul Varelans! He hops the guardrail and several wrestlers rush to the ring to hold Varelans back. Taz mocks Varelans again, “Get that trash out of here! He doesn’t belong.” Varelans breaks through and the crowd pops as he has a standoff with Taz. Even more wrestlers, officials, and now security fill the ring and get between the two. “LET THEM GO!” rings throughout the Arena. Tod Gordon enters the ring and calls for the mic. He asks the ECW fans if they want to see the match. The response is thunderous. Gordon asks Paul Varelans if he wants a match against Taz. Varelans screams “Hell yeah…”, so Gordon then asks Taz if he wants the match. Bill Alfonso snatches the mic from Gordon.
“OF COURSE HE ACCEPTS! TAZ BACKS DOWN FROM NO MAN, ESPECIALLY NOT FROM AN ULTIMATE LOSER LIKE PAUL VARELANS! NO ONE CAN STOP THE PATH OF RAGE DADDY! PAUL VARELANS…BE READY TO BE CHOKED OUT, BECAUSE THAT’S ALL THAT GONNA HAPPEN WHEN YOU STEP INTO THE RING WITH MY MAN TAZ!”
Gordon snatches back the mic and makes it official, on June 22nd, Hardcore Heaven ’96, Taz will take on Paul Varelans! Joey can’t believe it. For the first time in wrestling history, The Orange and Black Attack will take on the Alaskan Polar Bear. It will happen at Hardcore Heaven 96 and only in ECW!
******************************
Joey Styles is still buzzing about the Paul Varelans/Taz situation. The contract signing was scheduled to happen in a few minutes of this taping. If we can’t show it to you on tonight’s show, we will show it next week. Joey touches on an interesting point, Taz has a previously injured neck stemming from an injury from over a year ago. You saw Taz react violently when Jason Helton struck the back of Taz’s head with elbows. The interesting part is that Paul Varelans won his first bout in UFC against Cal Worsham much the same way, via Knock Out from Polar Bear Elbow Strikes to the back of the head. Joey believes that if Varelans can land a similar elbow strike to Taz, he may win the fight. Conversely, if Taz can lock on the Kajahijime, the Tazmission, all will be over for Varelans. Either way, come June 22nd at Hardcore Heaven, we will either see the Alaskan Polar Bear be choked out or the Orange and Black Attack, the One Man Crime Spree stopped cold in its tracks….
******************************
Cut to a commercial Paul E. Dangerously does the voice over.
“He is, without question, the most death defying athlete in the history of professional wrestling. A homicidal, genocidal, suicidal human machine of destruction with no fears and no peers. He is the most unique sports entertainer to grace the squared circle, not just here in ECW, but anywhere on the face of planet Earth. He truly epitomizes the word Extreme and his name… is SABU! Buy the new SABU T-Shirt now!!!
******************************
“Thunderkiss ‘65” by White Zombie begins playing in the background, which means that it’s almost time for the Six Man Elimination Tag Match. But first, Joey goes over some stuff. It was in April when “Prime Time” Brian Lee made his debut by helping Raven against Tommy Dreamer. This led to an altercation where Brian Lee placed a cinder block on Dreamer and hit it with a steel chair. Tommy Dreamer gave Brian Lee a taste of his own medicine a month later. ECW Fan Cam footage begins to play, as ECW held a show from the Briarcliffe Fieldhouse in Glenolden, Pennsylvania. Brian Lee throws Tommy Dreamer into a stop sign. Joey points out how this may be some sick retaliation for Dreamer hitting Raven with a stop sign earlier in the year. Our featured bout is about to begin. NO! THE FIGHT IS ON!
2) Six Man Tag Elimination Match – The Triangle of Terror vs. Tommy Dreamer & The Pit Bulls:
A quick cut to the ring and the match has already started, as Raven’s Triangle of Terror have jumped their opponents. Pit Bull #1 is posted into the steel ring post! His shoulder is still injured after the Eliminators attacked the Pit Bulls at the Massacre on Queens Boulevard! Tommy Dreamer has a chair thrown at him, while Pit Bull #2 has to go at it alone against both Bruise Brothers inside the ring. Brian Lee enters the ring and hits Pit Bull #2 from behind. He then helps the Bruise Brother to lift up Pit Bull #2 and they walk over to the ropes and toss him over, right into a waiting table! Pit Bull #1 rolls into the ring and Brian Lee covers him. 1……2……3! Pit Bull #1 is eliminated. (Pinfall | 1:17)
The fight begins to spill into the crowd, as Brian Lee tosses Dreamer into the first five rows! Brian Lee proceeds to throw Dreamer into a vending machine. What won’t Brian Lee use to hurt Tommy Dreamer? He’s used a cinder block, tossed Dreamer into a stop sign and a truck, and just now he’s using a vending machine. All five men soon converge towards the Eagles Nest, right below Joey Styles. Tommy finds a way to fight back, as he knocks Brian Lee onto a table with a chair shot. He takes out one of the Bruise Brothers as well with two, hard chair shots. Dreamer climbs up to the Eagles Nest, right beside Joey Styles. He yells out “E-C-*BEEP*-W!” – Dreamer dives from the Eagles Nest and crashes through Brian Lee and a table! Dreamer somehow climbs back onto the Eagles Nest and he holds out his arms in a crucifix pose – WAIT – Raven ambushes Dreamer from behind and drops him with a DDT! Richards and Meanie begin to stack a table onto another table and Brian Lee now climbs up to the Eagles Nest and he grabs Tommy by the neck. CHOKESLAM FROM OFF THE EAGLES NEST, THROUGH TWO TABLES! OH MY GOD!!! An Extreme Replay of the Chokeslam from the Eagle Nest is shown, as we then come back to Raven watching the match from the Eagles Nest. The Bruise Brothers drag Pit Bull #2 back to the ring, as Brian Lee waits inside of it. Somehow, someway the fans are now helping Tommy Dreamer come back to the ring! Brian Lee and Pit Bull #2 slug it out inside the ring, while the Bruise Brothers wait for Dreamer. He nears the guardrail and one of the Bruise Brothers reaches for him – Dreamer slams a chair across his skull! The fans help Tommy Dreamer over the guardrail. The other Bruise Brothers comes at him and Dreamer rams the chair into his ribs! Dreamer hooks the head – DDT! Dreamer falls onto the fallen Bruise Brother. 1…...2……3! One of the Bruise Brothers is eliminated. (Pinfall > DDT | 6:02)
Pit Bull #2 now picks up a plunger and he sticks it over Brian Lee’s face! That can’t be sanitary. He starts unloading on Brian Lee, but Prime Time fights back. He removes the plunger and clocks Pit Bull #2 with it. Dreamer comes from behind and hits Brian Lee low! He then spins him – DDT! Pit Bull #2 tosses a table in the ring, and Dreamer sets it up. He places Brian Lee on it, while Pit Bull #2 starts to climb the turnbuckles. What is Tommy Dreamer doing? OH NO! Pit Bull #2 lifts Dreamer up – Super Bomb through Brian Lee and the table – NO! Brian Lee has been pulled off by the remaining Bruise Brother! The remaining Bruise Brother tackles Pit Bull #2 to the floor, leaving Brian Lee to make the cover. 1……2……3! Tommy Dreamer is eliminated. (Pinfall > Super Bomb | 8:35)
Brian Lee grabs Pit Bull #2 and drags him back into the ring. He then holds up a chair to his head. The Bruise Brother comes in with a big boot, targeting the chair – Pit Bull #2 ducks and the Bruise Brother kicks the chair into Brian Lee’s face! Pit Bull #2 makes the cover. 1……2……3! Brian Lee is eliminated. (Pinfall > Big Boot | 9:41)
Dreamer spins the shocked Bruise Brother around and spikes him with a DDT! Pit Bull #2 gets off of Brian Lee and makes the cover. 1…...2……3! Survivor: Pit Bull #2 (Pinfall > DDT | 10:18)
Pit Bull #2 has his hand raised – Raven tackles him from behind! Richards and Meanie go after Tommy Dreamer, while Raven stomps down on Pit Bull 2. He grabs the mic. “The title match starts now…”
3) ECW World Heavyweight Title – Raven © vs. Pit Bull 2:
The bell rings, as Raven lifts up Pit Bull #2 and drops him with a piledriver. He hooks the leg. 1……2…..NO! Pit Bull #2 kicks out before three! Raven picks up the Mad Dog of War and drops him into the remnants of the table with a bulldog. He hooks the leg again. 1……2……NO! Pit Bull #2 kicks out! Raven shoves him into the corner and begins to lay into him with punches. THE PIT BULL IS FIRING UP! He slugs Raven twice and follows up by whipping him to the opposite corner. Pit Bull #2 charges into Raven with a spin wheel kick! Pit Bull #2 grabs a chair and heads to the top. He leaps – Raven catches him with a dropkick! Raven lifts Pit Bull #2 up and spikes him with a DDT. Raven doesn’t make the cover, as he instead stomps on the mat several times – he is loading up his boot! Raven stomps down on the head of Pit Bull #2 and he is knocked out cold. Raven hooks the legs. 1……2……3! Winner: Raven (Pinfall > Loaded Boot Shot | 3:41)
****************************** We cut to Lance Wright. “Pit Bull #2 is my hero… I’m Lance Wright and this is Hype Central! ECW has begun a shuttle service, in order to bring you to the extreme action. And with just a few extra dollars, you too can receive the services of Divine Brown…What?” "Guilty" by Gravity Kills begins to play. Back to Lance. “Saturday night, June 22nd, Phildelphia, Pennsylvania… the tradition continues, Hardcore Heaven 96.” Joey applauds Tommy Dreamer and especially Pit Bull #2 for their efforts, as they were basically coming into this match at a disadvantage because Pit Bull #1 had no business being in the match. He was just honoring his commitment, as he was signed to appear in this match prior to being injured by the Eliminators. Even with one man down and being thrown off of the Eagles Nest and falling 8 feet through two tables, Dreamer and Pit Bull #2 won the match. Then, not even after a minute after the match had ended, Raven would attack Pit Bull #2 and claim that the Worlds title match that was going to happen “down the line” was happening right then and there. Pit Bull #2 wouldn’t go down without a fight though, as it took a piledriver, a chair dropkicked into his face, a DDT, and Raven’s loaded boot to put Pit Bull #2 down. ***** A quick cut to Brian Lee in the locker room. “The Chokeslam was born in ECW. The Chokeslam died everywhere else. The Chokeslam has been resurrected by me… and it will now be known as the Prime Time Slam!” ***** On next week’s program, you won’t see it on Monday Night Raw or Monday Nitro, the Lone Horsemen and Wrestling Only Certifiable Loose Cannon, Brian Pillman, will talk for the first time since his near fatal car accident back in April. Also, fresh off of his victory over the Human Highlight Reel Sabu, Rob Van Dam will be taking on ECW’s first and only Triple Crown winner and everyone’s favorite underdog Mikey Whipwreck. Plus, in a rematch from the Massacre on Queens Boulevard, D-Von and Buh Buh Ray Dudley will be taking on the Full Blooded Italians, the FBI, JT Smith and his… “cousin” Little Guido. ***** Buh Buh Ray Dudley is trying to use the payphone, while Sign Guy and Dances with Dudleys keep watch. “Hello? Big Dick… AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!” D-Von comes running into the room and chases Buh Buh Ray off of the phone. D-Von then picks up and slams the phone real hard. DW apologies for making his half-brother angry. ***** On top of Rob Van Dam versus Mikey, The Dudleys versus the FBI, and Brian Pillman, we will have more news about Hardcore Heaven ’96, including the contract signing of the huge Paul Varelans versus Taz match. Make sure to tune in next week for what will be an eventful night of extreme action that only ECW can bring you.

From one extreme to another!!
Welcome, your roster show post was all quick results so initially after reading I thought just needs a bit more detail and we could have a winner. Result wise you made Shane Douglas look like a monster.
After the second show I have to say for me there's too much detail. All I need and I maybe an exception this rule is match, result plus if anything significant happens. There's just too much, imagine having to do that every week I'd imagine you would grow quite bored of that style pretty soon.
Besides that you showed a great knowledge of ECW and your show was fine. I'm not going to judge stories yet because it's your first show. It seems like you have the dedication to the diary so I look forward to seeing more from you.
Appreciate the feedback to my diary also

3) Mikey Whipwreck def. El Puerto Ricano

7) Raven def. The Sandman to retain the ECW World Heavyweight Championship
8) The Eliminators def. The Gangstas to retain the ECW World Tag Team Championships
--------------------
OOC: Thanks for the feedback. I was debating with myself over the amount of detail in the show. I've toned it down on my second show. I'll still be posting bare bones House Shows and ECW Arena results, because those were important at the time for ECW. My match results for Hardcore TV will just be the results, the important details, and maybe a few key spots. The rest of the show won't be changed that much though.

very extreme diary you got going there, man was the 90's of Wrestling fun or what anyway, first you had the 80's of Rock and the 90's of Wrestling, I'm looking at your superstars and I'm looking at a lot of potential stars soon in my diary, I don't wanna copy you or nothing, but I'm looking at some like Kimona Wanalaya although she wasn't 18 in 1994 yet, but there's some options about bringing her in by the latter half of my diary sometime between Late 1994 or Early 1995, but anyway I've been a lot interested in this, hope you keep up the good work man.

ECW Hardcore TV #92 - June 11, 1996 JT Smith and Little Guido come to the ring, as Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” plays. Joey is conflicted, on one hand, he has to watch the insulting mockery of the FBI, and on the other hand, he gets to listen to Old Blue Eyes. JT Smith hugs a few fans and Little Guido puts a stop to that. He gives everyone the universal Italian hello, while JT demands that they turn up the music. The music stops, which angers JT. “Hey, hey, hey, turn that music back on or I’ll have Guido come kick your ass!” JT holds back the feisty Little Guido, as the people in the back don’t heed JT’s warnings. That’s fine with JT though, as he decides to start serenading his cousin, “Fly me to the moon! Let me swing among those stars! Let me see what spring is like… on Jupiter and Mars! Da da da…da da…” He doesn’t even now the words! “Highway to Hell” by ACDC hits, as the always entertaining Dudley clan comes out to the ring. Buh Buh Ray Dudley is out first, followed by D-Von Dudley and Sign Guy Dudley, who is holding a sign that reads “WHAT IS YOUR NAME!” Joel Gertner starts the introductions. “Standing to my right, weighing in at… whatever the hell he wants to… D-VON DUDLEY!” D-Von intimates everyone, from his own family, to referees and even Joel Gertner. The fans begin to chant “WHAT’S YOUR NAME!” and Buh Buh Ray takes the mic from Gertner. He wants JT to come closer… “FLY ME TO THE MO MO MO MOON!” Buh Buh is proud of himself, while JT takes back the mic. D-Von rips it out of his hands and begins to speak “There are three rules you should never break. Rule number one, thou shalt not steal…” Well, lip syncing is hardly what I’d call stealing… “Number two, thou shalt not kill…” They did kill Frank Sinatra’s songs… GUILTY! GUILTY! “And number three, thus shalt not *BEEP* with the Dudleys!” BUH BUH RAY TAKES OUT THE FBI WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! 1) The Full Blooded Italians vs. The Dudleys: JT rolls to the floor and Sign Guy decides to stomp down on him. Buh Buh Ray picks up Little Guido and throws him onto JT Smith! Buh Buh Ray is now going to the top and the FBI scatter. Little Guido slides into the ring and locks up with the big Dudley; Buh Buh Ray shoves Guido down and he is quick to tag out to his cousin, JT Smith. It looks like they’re going to lock up – No, JT lands a left jab. Buh Buh holds his jaw and yells out “OWE, THAT HURT!” JT doesn’t know what to do and Buh Buh Ray decks him real good. JT rolls to the floor and regroups with his cousin. Buh Buh Ray is mocking the FBI by dancing a little jig. D-Von slaps his back, making him the legal man. JT rolls back into the ring and D-Von goes on the attack. He pounds JT down, only to then scoop him up and slam JT back down to the canvas. D-Von now climbs to the middle turnbuckle – he slips and crashes into the ring! What just happened? Is JT Smith’s clumsiness contagious? Buh Buh Ray enters the ring and JT intercepts him with a dropkick to the left knee. Buh Buh Ray crawls to the corner and it looks like he’s hurt. JT doesn’t seem to care, as he begins to target the injured knee. D-Von comes in and clears the ring. He pounds on Little Guido in the corner. D-Von is all business, as he picks him up and drops Guido with a slingshot gourdbuster. D-Von with the lateral press; 1……2……NO! JT Smith breaks the count. He begins to unload on D-Von and now he helps up his cousin. JT orders his cousin to pick up D-Von and hold him in place. JT spits in D-Von’s face and he follows that with a stiff slap – CRACK! Buh Buh Ray has gotten back up on his feet and he cracks a chair over JT Smith’s back! Guido releases D-Von and he eats a chair shot! Buh Buh Ray grabs onto the top rope, as his left knee is still hurt. D-Von gets up and looks around the ring. He then gets into Buh Buh Ray’s face and shoves him down! D-Von picks up the chair and decides to knock out the referee! A barely conscious John “Pee Wee” Moore calls for the bell. Winners: The FBI (Disqualification | 6:21) D-Von has snapped! He’s beating the holly hell out of JT Smith with a steel chair! Buh Buh Ray steps in and grabs the chair. D-Von does not look happy and he is chewing out his half-brother. Dances with Dudley rolls into the ring and tries to break up his two brothers. D-Von grabs the chair and smacks it upside DW’s head! Buh Buh Ray grabs the chair and now he is yelling at D-Von! D-Von kicks him low and takes back the chair – CRACK! Buh Buh Ray staggers back, but he is still on his feet. CRACK! He’s not standing now! Sign Guy Dudley enters the ring and D-Von caves in his skull with a chair shot. D-Von raises the chair into the air and he’s the last Dudley left standing…“Highway to Hell” by ACDC begins to play and he’s back! The patriarchal Dudley is back! Big Dick Dudley comes lumbering down to the ring and D-Von has already left to the back. Did he not see Big Dick Dudley coming to the ring when he left to the back or is he running scared of his older half-brother? ****************************** We come back from commercial, and Joey Styles is standing in front of the ECW banner. We’re just moments away from seeing Rob Van Dam in action against the Triple Crown winner Mikey Whipwreck, but first some words from Paul E. ***** The Psycho Yuppie, Paul Heyman makes a rare appearance. He does so to give his thoughts about what happened at A Matter of Respect. The camera closes in on his face. Paul looks horrible. He hasn’t slept well since the incident. Sabu hasn’t slept well too. He’s been in training - Training to come back and destroy Rob Van Dam. The minute Van Dam made it personal by targeting Sabu’s neck, he shot to number one on his hit list. Doing what Van Dam did would be like Malcolm X defecating in the Grand Wizards head dress. Like WCW entering Philly and having a lousy show - Wait, that did happen. Anyway, if you think Sabu was vicious before, wait until Hardcore Heaven. “Rob Van Dam, get ready to experience… SABU!” ***** Back to Joey Styles and Joey thinks it’s best to explain the rumors of Taz and Bill Alfonso giving Rob Van Dam inside information that lead to Sabu going to the hospital. It was during the month of November of 94 when Chris Benoit dumped Sabu on his neck. It was injured, but that was kept a secret, a secret only three men knew at the time, Sabu, Paul E., and Taz. Taz told Bill Alfonso about it and Alfonso relayed that information to Rob Van Dam. It was at A Matter of Respect, when Sabu met Van Dam. Van Dam had a plan and he executed it to perfection, as he didn’t focus on the lower back or the legs or the arms. No, he focused solely on the neck and what resulted was Sabu having to go to the hospital for the first time since that faithful night in 1994. Well, now Sabu is out of the hospital, and on June 22nd, Hardcore Heaven, he’s looking for Rob Van Dam. A quick cut, as Mikey Whipwreck is coming to the ring, as Joey talks about how Mikey had to have his knee drained of fluids just four days ago, but he still insisted on competing tonight. Rob Van Dam comes out next, to Pantera’s “Walk”. Joey points out the irony of Rob Van Dam coming out to a song about respect, given the amount of disrespect Van Dam has shown to Sabu. Why is Brian Pillman coming out here now? Pillman demands the mic. Mikey doesn’t take too kindly to Pillman interrupting his match, but the Loose Cannon of Professional Wrestling couldn’t care less. He calls Mikey a little piece of *BLEEP* and he dares him to hit a cripple. Will he do it? Will Mikey be the one to shut up the Loose Cannon? Mikey goes to the floor, but so does Van Dam. He turns Mikey around and begins to mock him. CRACK! Pillman stands up and breaks his crutch over Mikey’s back! Van Dam picks up a chair and starts swinging away. He finally stops, only so he can then place Mikey on the ring apron, place the chair on top of him, then roll back into the ring and leap over the ropes, dropping a leg over the chair, thus crushing Mikey Whipwreck. 2) Rob Van Dam vs. Mikey Whipwreck: Van Dam pulls a barely conscious Mikey back into the ring, as the bell finally rings. He stands him up the best he can and tosses him the chair. Before Mikey can react, Van Dam kicks the chair into his face! Van Dam stands over the now unconscious Mikey, turns around, and lands a standing Moonsault. Van Dam hooks the legs; 1……2……3. Winner: Rob Van Dam (Pinfall > Standing Moonsault | 1:44) Joey Styles says that he’s going to the ring right now to get an interview with Brian Pillman. An Extreme Replay covers enough time for Joey to get to ringside. Joey begins to speak, when Pillman informs him to shut up, and the goes for all of the pieces of *BLEEP* in the building too. He is Brian *BLEEP* Pillman and he has something to say. He heard all of those Sabu chants when he came to the ring, which is why he is proud of Rob Van Dam for doing what needed to be done, putting Sabu in the hospital. Pillman has been in ECW for over three months and in that time, the only person that has impressed him was Rob Van Dam. Pillman thinks that Van Dam is someone everyone should look up too. Not Sabu, not Shane Douglas, and not some drunkard like the Sandman. The fans start to chant for Sabu, which pisses Pillman off. He gives them a warning; shut up or else he is leaving. They continue to chant. Van Dam pats Pillman on his shoulder. He then asks Pillman if he wants to get the hell out of here. Pillman does, so the two leave Joey Styles hanging. ****************************** We come back with Joey Styles and minutes before the show, 2 Cold Scorpio had to be rushed to the hospital with a 106 temperature. His opponent was going to be the Franchise, who defeated Scorpio for the ECW World Television championship last month. The kicker is that the Franchise doesn’t care for the title. He thinks it’s beneath him. Quick cut, as The Franchise Shane Douglas comes to the ring, dragging along the title. He tosses it into the ring like trash and grabs the mic. The Franchise badmouths 2 Cold Scorpio, claiming that his sudden trip to the hospital was BS. The truth is that he fears the Franchise! “There’s one man, a rookie, who has impressed me lately, so since I am in a giving mood… Hey El Puerto Ricano, tonight’s your lucky night… If you want a shot at this piece of *BEEP*… then come on down and take it!” 3) ECW World Television Title – Shane Douglas © vs. El Puerto Ricano: The Extreme Rookie, El Puerto Ricano, comes out to the ring. Joel Gertner makes the introductions and Ricano starts taking off his shirt – Douglas hammers him from behind! He locks on a waist lock, pops the hips, and drops him with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Douglas hooks the leg for the easy three. Winner: Shane Douglas (Pinfall > Belly to Belly Suplex | 0:21) Douglas rolls to his feet. The ref grabs the title, but Douglas kicks it out of his hands. “I’m looking for a workout tonight, so send them all down to this ring. I’ll beat them one by one…” Another quick cut, as Douglas drops Don E Allen with the Belly to Belly Suplex. He places a finger on Don E and gets the easy victory. The ref picks up the title and Douglas kicks it out of his hands again. Quick cut – Douglas kicks Devon Storm low! He picks him up and pops the hips – Belly to Belly Suplex! He once again places a finger on top of Storm and gets another easy victory. Same thing happens, as the ref picks up the title and Douglas kicks it out of his hands. Douglas wants a real challenge this time, so he calls out Mikey Whipwreck. Mikey slowly hobbles to the ring. One more quick cut - Douglas ducks under a clothesline attempt and comes back by clipping Mikey’s right knee. Douglas kicks at Mikey’s injured knee repeatedly. He then locks on the Texas Cloverleaf and Mikey taps out quickly. Some wrestlers have come out to help Douglas’ victims to the back. One of them is Chris Jericho, who Douglas starts to mock over the mic. He challenges Jericho to prove that Stu Hart and the rest of the Hart Family weren’t a bunch of *BEEP*. Jericho is pissed off, as he rolls into the ring. 4) ECW World Television Title – Shane Douglas © vs. Chris Jericho: Douglas ambushes Jericho coming in and he drops him with a Belly to Belly Suplex! Douglas doesn’t make the cover, as he then instead spots Mikey being helped to his feet. Douglas sticks his head out between the ropes and mocks Mikey. Mikey has had enough and he slaps the Franchise across the face. Douglas falls back, right into a roll up attempt by Jericho! 1……2……NO! Another quick cut, as the fight has spilled to the floor - Jericho hangs Douglas out to dry on the guardrail. Jericho reenters the ring, leaps over the ropes, and crashes onto the guardrail!! Douglas slowly makes his way back to the ring, when he spots Mikey again. He tries to get into his face and referee Jim Molineaux gets in his way – Douglas synchs in the waist lock and he pops the hips – Belly to Belly Suplex on the floor! OH MY GOD! Douglas rolls into the ring, while a group of wrestlers rush to the referee’s aid. Mikey shoves past the riff raff and grabs a chair. Douglas doesn’t see Mikey hobble into the ring and when he does – CRACK! Mikey, as best he can, hits the Franchise with the chair. Douglas rolls to the floor and gets popped by another chair shot, this time from Don E. Allen. Douglas backs up, right into a shot from El Puerto Ricano! The Franchise’s ego is finally catching up to him – Mikey leaps over the ropes and takes out the Franchise with a plancha! The referee has lost all semblance of control, so he has no other choice but to call for the bell. Winner: Shane Douglas (Disqualification | 4:07) Douglas starts to back pedal to the locker room, while Chris Jericho finally recovers. He realizes what just happened, so he picks up Mikey Whipwreck and gets into his face. Jericho is beside himself – He kicks at Mikey’s knee! Jericho is held back by the other wrestlers and it looks like he regrets what he just did. It was done in the heat of the moment, and it’s all thanks to The Franchise! ****************************** Cut to Lance Wright standing in front of the EW banner. “I’m Lance Wright and this is Hype Central! The Fight of Ultimate Proportions has been signed for Hardcore Heaven 96, as Paul Varelans takes on Taz!” “Sad But True” by Metallica begins to play. The show comes back from the break and here’s footage from the contract signing. Paul Varelans sits on one end of the table, while Taz sits on the other end. Joey Styles stands between them. “Ladies and gentlemen of the press, the contract has been signed and on Saturday June 22nd, at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Paul Varelans of Ultimate Fighting will be taking on Taz of Extreme Championship Wrestling! Now, Mr. Varelans, seeing how you’re coming into ECW, your words first…” Paul Varelans talks about how he came to Philly to watch him some ECW Extreme action, when Taz started to talk trash about how he could easily beat Varelans. Paul disagrees. Taz is the next one to talk. He says that the only reason he is taking this match is because he *points to the heavens* won’t accept his challenge. Taz gets up and gets in Varelans’ face. He would like to shake his hand because Varelans is man enough to step up to Taz. Varelans: “May the best man win…” Taz: “I plan to…” “Misirlou” by Dick Dale begins to play and you know what that means. ***** We cut to the Dudley clan, minus D-Von, standing in the locker room. “Today is a good day, because Big Dick had a CH CH CH CH…” Big Dick growls and hits Buh Buh Ray on the back. “Big Dick has returned and he is in a good mood!” Big Dick growls, as we pan in for a close up. ***** The camera shows the ECW World Television Title on the floor. We then pan up to the Franchise. “I may not care for this title, but that doesn’t change the facts that I am the Franchise – I will not, I cannot just lie down and hand over this piece of garbage.” The Franchise has proven time and time again that he is a cut above the rest in that locker room – he is the better athlete. “This belt is beneath me, but being the type of guy that I am, I will do my best to raise the prestige of this worthless thing and make it the only thing people talk about when they think of ECW. I’ll take on anyone that thinks they can beat me – go ahead and try it, just know that once you fly to close to the sun and come crashing back down to reality – Just know that you’ll be back at the bottom and I will continue being at the top.” Douglas picks up the belt and looks at it. He then throws it down and leaves. The camera pans down to the belt. ***** Now we go to JT Smith, who isstill trying to sing some Frank Sinatra. "When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie, that's amore" *****
Divine Brown walks down the hallway, when Stevie Richards runs up to her with a fistful of cash. He gives it to Ms. Brown and she throws it back in his face. ***** Cut to Bill Alfonso“THAT WAS CRAP… LET’S DO IT AGAIN!” ***** Divine Brown talks about coming to ECW, when Stevie Richards interrupts her again and gives her some money. Divine Brown throws the money back in his face and slaps Richards. ***** Bill Alfonso is now in a hot tub with two lovely ladies. “Fonzie, let’s go to your boat…” “I SAID TO NEVER CALL ME THAT!” ***** Back to JT Smith. "When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine, that's amore" ***** Back to the Dudleys. “D-Von, you better watch you BA BA BA BA…” Big Dick growls and hits Buh Buh Ray on the back. “Your time is UP UP UP UP…” Big Dick growls and hits Buh Buh Ray on the back again. “He’s going to kick your butt!” ***** Great, JT Smith is still singing. JT: "Hearts will play… da da da…. do do..” Little Guido: “You forgot the words again?” ***** Now it’s to Rob Van Dam and Brian Pillman. Pillman mocks Paul E., “You will experience…SABU!” Van Dam has only one thing on his mind, so he asks Pillman, why should he be afraid of Sabu? Rob Van Dam: “I mean, who was the one that went to the hospital?” Pillman: “Sabu…” Van Dam: “And how many times did Sabu send me to the hospital?” Pillman: “Zero…” Van Dam: “Then should Sabu be the one afraid of me? I am, after all, the one people pay to see. I’m the one responsible for all these sold out shows. Who can be better than Rob – Van – Dam?” Pillman: “No one…” ***** Missy Hyatt sits on The Sandman’s lap. Missy: “I love this time of the year… I can go down to the beach, take off all my clothes…. Sandman: “And kick someone’s butt!” Missy: “Mamma loves violence!” ***** Back to Rob Van Dam and Brian Pillman. Pillman: “I have something to say to the *BEEEEEEP* Ted Turner and his *BEEP* of a wife…” Someone off camera tells Van Dam to do something, so he wheels Pillman off of the set. ***** Raven sits alongside a wall, while his Triangle of Terror stand before him. “When one falls, I feel their pain. When they all fall, I feel their pain. I have done everything I can do to make sure Tommy Dreamer feels the pain I’ve felt for all my live. I’ve been surrounded by simpletons, delusional men with flights of fancy, the love of my life, and a silicon filled stripper… and yet they all have one thing in common, they’ve abandoned me. There comes a time when we have to stand on the precipice of a major decision… a time were one must figure out if they will rise above the oppressions of live or fall into a pit of nothingness, never to be seen again. It is time for you to make that decision.” Brian Lee: “Raven, you have my soul, so I have your back…” Raven: “Quote the Raven Nevermore.”

ECW Hardcore TV #93 - June 18, 1996 “King Nothing” by Metallica begins to play, as a video hyping up Hardcore Heaven 96 is shown Wish I may, wish I might Have this I wish tonight Are you satisfied? Dig for gold, dig for fame You dig to make your name Are you pacified?
All the wants you waste All the things you've chased (Scenes from the Paul Varelans/Taz confrontation from Fight the Power are shown.) Then it all crashes down And you break your crown And you point your finger But there's no one around Just want one thing Just to play the king But the castle's crumbled And you're left with just a name
Where's your crown, King Nothing? Where's your crown?(Next up is the debut of Brian Lee, as he saved Raven from a beating from Tommy Dreamer. What follows next are a few clips of this violent rivalry, which includes Brian Lee smashing a cinder block with a chair, while it was placed on Dreamer’s groin, Dreamer doing the same to Brian Lee, and Brian Lee tossing Dreamer into a Stop Sign.) Hot and cold, bought and sold A heart as hard as gold Are you satisfied? Wish I might, wish I may You wish your life away Are you pacified?
All the wants you waste All the things you've chased(The Dudley Family drama plays next, as Big Dick Dudley made his return to ECW and D-Von was sent running.) Then it all crashes down And you break your crown And you point your finger But there's no one around Just want one thing Just to play the king But the castle's crumbled And you're left with just a name
Where's your crown, King Nothing? Where's your crown? ( Next is clips from last week’s spectacle from the Franchise; how he focused on Mikey Whipwreck’s injured knee, egged on Chris Jericho, dropped Jim Molineaux with the Belly to Belly Suplex, got into a fight with Mikey, and finishing up with Jericho kicking at Mikey’s injured knee.) I wish I may, I wish I might Have this wish I wish tonight I want that star, I want it now I want it all and I don't care how
Careful what you wish Careful what you say Careful what you wish, you may regret it Careful what you wish, you just might get
Then it all crashes down And you break your crown And you point your finger But there's no one around Just want one thing Just to play the king But the castle's crumbled And you're left with just a name(The final set of clips focused on Rob Van Dam walking out on a handshake from Sabu, Van Dam spiking Sabu on his neck with the Fishermen’s Buster from the top, Sabu offering his hand again to Van Dam and Van Dam saying he doesn’t respect Sabu and thinks he is garbage.) Where's your crown, King Nothing? The intro wraps up and now we go to Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. “Welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling, I’m Joey Styles and we’re counting down the days until this Saturday, Hardcore Heaven 1996. Here is your lineup so far – in the main event, Rob Van Dam will be facing Sabu in an Extreme Deathmatch; you can only win by pin fall from anywhere in the Arena or by submission, no DQ, no count out, there must be a winner. In a Weapons Match up, “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer will be taking on “Prime Time” Brian Lee; you supply the weapons and they will use them, lord have mercy on all of us. For the ECW World Television championship, the Franchise was scheduled to face former champion 2 Cold Scorpio, but Scorpio came up short in Readings, Pennsylvania and again in Jim Thorpe, so that match has been change. Now the Franchise will defend the ECW World Television title against the man many think deserves another shot, Chris Jericho. Scorpio will still see action, as he faces off against everybody’s favorite underdog, Mikey Whipwreck. In their last chance to grab the titles, the Gangstas will meet the Eliminators one more time for the ECW World Tag Team Titles. We will find out just who is in charge of the Dudley family, D-Von or Big Dick Dudley, and in a fight of Ultimate Proportions, Paul Varelans of Ultimate Fighting will be squaring off with Taz of Extreme Championship Wrestling. It’s sure to be an epic night and you can only see this type of action at Hardcore Heaven 1996!” And on a more personal note, Joey Styles would have loved to say his goodbye to Brian Pillman, who has just signed a contract for the World Wrestling Federation, but apparently, wrestling’s Loose Cannon will still be using ECW as his own personal forum to say whatever he wants. “To Brian Pillman, my new neighbor in Stamford, all I can say is… bring it.” ****************************** Joey Styles does a commercial hyping up the Plymouth Meeting show this Friday. You will see, in a return match, Pit Bull #2 against Saturn of the Eliminators. The last time these two met, no one could imagine the carnage that would ensue. Cut to Saturn. “Lulu temple, 21st, Pit Bull… it’s your time to bleed…” Cut back to Styles – In tag team action, you will see the team of The Sandman and Commissioner Tod Gordon take on Taz and Bill Alfonso. Cut to the Sandman and Missy Hyatt. Sandman: “I’m gonna cane your ass…” Missy: “I love violence!” Back to Styles – He can just feel it; something big is going down in that match. Also this Friday night, it’s been two years in the making, in a rematch from Heat Wave 1994, the Franchise Shane Douglas defends the ECW World TV championship against Sabu. It all goes down this Friday night at the Lulu Temple in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. ****************************** We are back with Joey Styles and one of the matches signed for Hardcore Heaven pits “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer against “Prime Time” Brian Lee in a Weapons Match. Recently, at an event in Readings, Pennsylvania, which you will see momentarily via ECW Fan Cam, these two collided in a Falls Count Anywhere Match up. This is just one of the many reasons why the Weapons Match was signed. Cut to the Fan Cam action, as the fight has just begun and already the ring can’t contain this action! Brian Lee uses the guardrail as a weapon, not once, but twice. Tommy Dreamer is dumped over the guardrail. Quick cut, as Tommy is handed a cookie sheet and he connects on Brian Lee’s skull! Dreamer now uses the Arena as a weapon, as he throws Brian Lee into a wall. Dreamer is handed a motocross helmet and he puts it on, gets a running start, and rams into Brian Lee! Another cut and now they’re outside the building and Brian Lee tosses Dreamer into a wall. He then drags Dreamer to his feet and throws him into the streets! Thank god that the fans are blocking traffic. One more cut, as Dreamer makes the cover and one of the Bruise Brothers just broke the count! He holds a chair near Dreamer’s head and the other Bruise Brother kicks the chair into Dreamer’s skull! The final cut happens, as the Bruise Brothers drag Dreamer into an alleyway and stop near a dumpster. Brian Lee stands on top of the dumpster and the Bruise Brothers hand him Dreamer. Brian Lee picks Dreamer up by the throat and drives him into the dumpster with a Prime Time Slam! Brian Lee places a hand on Dreamer; 1……2……3! The camera pans over and finds Raven watching from the fire escape! The Franchise Shane Douglas’ infamous departure from ECW…” ****************************** Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie… I’m sorry, Lord Stevie Regal and the Earl of Eating, Sir Meanie, come to the ring. They’ve been the Fabulous Ones, then they were the American Males, so what the heck, they can be the Blue Meanie Bloods too. Cut to Joey Styles - While the Blue Meanie Bloods were having fun, they had to get down to business, as Lord Stevie had his barristers, lawyers for our American viewers, write up some papers that pertained to the sexual assault case against Missy Hyatt. He also had a match scheduled against the Sandman. Here are the highlights… Cut back to the ring, as the Sandman and Missy Hyatt are now in the ring. Stevie has the mic. “Lord Stevie Regal would like to address one peasant in particular, the valet of your intoxicated hero up here… the woman with breast augmentation surgery… who violated and molested royalty in Lord Stevie Regal back in New York. Tonight at Fight the Power, Lord Stevie Regal is announcing, you trollop are hereby served.” Lord Stevie shoves the papers in between her breasts. He turns to Sir Meanie and chuckles. The Sandman thinks he knows a better way of settling this issue, as he offers Lord Stevie Regal a brewsky. Stevie takes the can of beer and opens it. He takes a sip of it and doesn’t look pleased. He gives some to Meanie and the Earl of Eating has to spit it out due to the taste. Big mistake on his part, as he spits the beer into the Sandman’s face. Crack! The Sandman cracks Stevie with his Singapore cane! 1) The Sandman vs. Stevie Richards: Stevie rolls to the ring apron and stands up. The Sandman attempts to suplex Stevie back into the ring, but Meanie stops him. Stevie hooks the head and drops down, snapping the Sandman’s neck across the top rope. Stevie orders Meanie to go up high. He slowly climbs and when he reaches his destination, he flips backwards, looking for a Moonsault – He crashes into the mat! Stevie goes on the attack and the Sandman decks him with a hard right. Stevie falls into the ropes and the Sandman sends him up and over them, to the floor. Stevie can barely recover, when Missy begins to cane him! Well if this sexual assault lawsuit doesn’t pan out, Stevie can file one for assault. Stevie is doing his best to cover his head – Sandman leaps over the ropes and lands on Stevie! He rolls Stevie back into the ring and then decides to take a little smoke break. Missy gives him a light and after a few puffs, the Sandman gives her the cigarette. Stevie catches the Sandman with a knee as he is coming in. He follows up by lifting up the Sandman and dropping him back down with a vertical suplex. Stevie calls for the Meanie to go up high again. This time he connects with a leg drop and now Stevie begins to mock Shawn Michaels, as he stands in the far corner and begins to tune up the band – Stevie Kick – No, Sandman ducks under – Stevie Kick to the knee! Stevie grabs the right leg, “Woo! Now it is time to go to school!” Stevie is mocking Ric Flair now, as he locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock. The Sandman screams in pain and Missy hands him his cane. The Sandman smacks Stevie, but the hold is still locked on. He hits him again and again and again, but Stevie will not break the hold. Meanie comes in and the Sandman smacks him with the cane. The Sandman tries to fight off both members of Ravens Nest, but that doesn’t last long, as Meanie mounts the Sandman and starts unloading on him. Missy with the cane now and she hits Sir Meanie on the forehead! Missy hits Stevie and forces the break. Both men are up and Stevie goes for the Stevie Kick – NO! Sandman caught him with the cane! Missy opens up a beer and hands it to her man. Stevie Kick out of nowhere! Stevie is going for the Figure Four again, but the Sandman says otherwise, as he rolls Stevie up; 1……2……3! Winner: The Sandman(Pinfall > Small Package | 6:22) It’s Raven! Raven slides into the ring and clips the injured knee. He then slaps on his own Figure Four. He’s trying to cripple the Sandman! Raven is trying to cripple the Sandman. Sandman screams in pain, as he desperately tries to reach for his cane. Raven grabs it instead and starts to cane the Sandman, all the while his injured knee is being torn to shreds by the Figure Four Leg Lock. Raven releases the hold and stands up. He holds out his arms in a crucifix pose, as we fade out. ****************************** Back with Joey Styles – One of the matches that was just signed for Hardcore Heaven 96 will pit the Gangstas against the ECW World Tag Team Champions the Eliminators. The teams have met several times throughout this month and the outcome is always the same, Eliminators win. At Hardcore Heaven, this Saturday night, the Gangstas will have one last shot at the Eliminators. The main reason behind this rematch stems from what happened at Fight the Power. Here now are some highlights from that match. 2) ECW World Tag Team Titles – The Eliminators vs. The Gangstas:The Gangstas make their way to the ring, as the show cuts to the ring. New Jack carries a trashcan full of goodies and he tosses it in the ring. He then walks up to ring announcer Joel Gertner and takes the mic away from him. “Eliminators, get your asses out here and let’s do this…” New Jack is cut off, as someone hits him in the back of the head. It’s Saturn! The Eliminators have come from the crowd and they ambushed the Gangstas! Kronus picks up the trashcan and hits Mustafa over the head. New Jack ducks a right from Saturn and quickly grabs whatever is near him, which is a cookie sheet. Kronus hits New Jack with the trashcan and Saturn picks up the cookie sheet and busts open New Jack. Mustafa surprises Kronus with a dropkick, but before he can even stand, Saturn smashes the cookie sheet over his skull. Kronus scoops and slams Mustafa on the trashcan. Saturn pursues New Jack on the floor and continues to target the open wound on his forehead. New Jack pulls out a chair from the first row and starts fighting back. He swings at Saturn’s hip and back. New Jack swings once more at the back, when Kronus comes along and posts him into the steel. Saturn grabs two chairs, hands one to Kronus and they begin taking New Jack apart. Mustafa comes along and Kronus cracks his skull with the chair. Saturn rolls New Jack back in the ring and then he proceeds to go to the top. Saturn dives off of the top turnbuckle and New Jack grabs a cookie sheet – Saturn crashes head first into it! New Jack rolls Saturn onto his back and places his arm on top of him; 1……2……No! Saturn barely kicks out before the three count. New Jack gets up first and he retrieves a chain. New Jack wraps it around his fist – he knocks out Saturn with a right hook! Saturn is busted open now! New Jack begins to whip Saturn the chain. A quick cut leads us back to the floor. Saturn tries to fight with Mustafa and New Jack joins in. Kronus slowly rolls into the ring. He gets to his feet and notices the fight on the floor. Kronus hits the ropes and begins to do handsprings - HURRICANE KRONUS! OH MY GOD! Kronus has just taken both Gangsta out! Mustafa reenters the ring and Kronus follows. Mustafa pulls himself up in the near corner – Kronus goes to the opposite corner and charges, as he attempts a handspring back elbow – Mustafa grabs a frying pan and he hits Kronus in the back of the head! Saturn slides a table into the ring and Mustafa begins to set it up. Saturn picks up New Jack and punches at his open wound. New Jack is sent crashing into the guardrail and now Saturn gets on the ring apron – He gets a running start and leaps – New Jack moves and Saturn crashes into the front row! Mustafa hops the guardrail and catches Saturn with a few left jabs. Another cut, as New Jack and Kronus are dueling chairs. New Jack comes out on top, as Kronus falls onto the table. New Jack begins to climb to the top, chair in hand, and when he reaches his destination, he dives straight towards Kronus, driving the chair into Kronus’ chest and crashing through a table! New Jack rolls to the floor, clutching his right arm. Mustafa enters the ring and quickly makes the cover; 1……2……NO! The ref is pulled out of the ring at the last second by – Bill Alfonso? What’s he doing out here? Mustafa is distracted by this, giving Saturn enough time to revive his partner. The Eliminators get into position – TOTAL ELIMINATION! Saturn sweeps low and Kronus sweeps high! Saturn makes the lateral press and the referee slides back into the ring; 1……2……3! Winners: The Eliminators (Pinfall > Total Elimination | 9:07 Shown) ****************************** Cut to Lance Wright standing in front of the ECW Banner. “I’m Lance Wright and this is Hype Central! And now is the time to come and experience the difference at Hardcore Heaven 96…” Goodie Mob’s “Cell Therapy” begins to play. Raven sits down beside a tree. “Richards…why have you made me return to the twisted anguish of the playground of my youth?” Stevie Richards tries to explain himself, only to have Raven interrupt him. First Richards brought back Beulah into his life, Raven’s one true love. She left him for Tommy Dreamer. Then there was Kimona. Raven didn’t care for her, but he still felt the pain when she still left him for Beulah. Raven has ordered Richards to find to dirtiest, filthiest *BEEEEP* and bring her to Raven. He brought him Divine Brown, a woman who performed carnal knowledge on Hue Grant on Sunset Boulevard, but even still, she doesn’t meet Raven’s specifications. She’s not dirty enough for Raven. “But boss, I think I’ve done it right this time.” Richards and Raven walkover to the playground and finds the Blue Meanie laying across the bridge, naked, with only blue cream smeared over his face and belly and a Meanie Doll blocking his… delicates. Meanie: “Raven… Mr. Champion, welcome to my playground. Want you slide down my pole? – Ron Jeremy, The Vacuum Cleaner Salesman, 1978.” Raven: “Richards, what in the hell is this?” Richards: “This is it… Boss, I give to you Bluedust! He can be the valet you present to society…” Raven looks disgusted, as Bluedust makes a simple request; he has herd that it is almost Raven’s birthday, so Bluedust wants to sing him “Happy Birthday”, just like Marylyn Monroe did for JFK. “But irst, let me give you a bit of salvation… for the sins of the father will be visited upon by the son… Look at the splotches on my belly welly… if you weeelll!” Bluedust has a taste of the blue cream that covers his grotesque body. Raven says that he doesn’t want Bluedust because he isn’t feminine enough. Raven leaves, “I told you it wouldn’t work Meanie.” Richards dips his finger into the blue cream on Bluedust’s belly, then tastes it. It tastes good. Richards leaves… Bluedust: “*breaths in* Bluedust *kiss*” “Misirlou” by Dick Dale begins to play.. ***** D-von slams Sign Guy Dudley’s head into the wall over and over again, “IT’S MY FAMILY! IT’S MY FAMILY! IT’S MY FAMILY! IT’S MY FAMILY!” ***** Cut to the Gangstas outside the ECW Arena. New Jack: “Eliminators, I give ya guys props, ya’ll left us lying in a pool of our own blood. Ya’ll left us lookin’ at the ceiling. I got my ass kicked. We got our asses kicked…” ***** Cut to Bill Alfonso, Taz, and the { Eliminators. Alfonso: “GANGSTAS, YOU DON’T DESERVE TO HOLD THESE TITLES! YOU ARE TRASH! THE ELIMINATORS ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD! YOU ARE NOT! THE ELIMINATORS ARE BETTER THAN YOU! YOU CAN NEVER BEAT THEM! YOU CAN NEVER HOLD THESE BELTS!” Saturn: “Gangsters, you want another shot at us? That’s fine with us, just know that it’ll be your last…” ***** Cut back to the Gangstas. New Jack: “And when we come this time, we are going to kick your ass son. When we come this time, you better pack a lunch because the Gangstas aren’t to be played with.” ***** Cut back to the Eliminators. Saturn “Blood has been spelt, scars have been formed, but it doesn’t matter now, because we’re going to end this war.” ***** Cut back to D-Von and Sign Guy - “Whose Family is it?” Sign Guy holds up a sign that reads “Big Dick”. D-Von snaps and repeatedly slams Sign Guy into the wall. “Whose Family is it?” Sign Guy holds up a sign that reads “D-Von”. D-Von: “Testify!” ***** Cut to Tommy Dreamer. “Brian Lee, Hardcore Heaven, Weapons Match… I’M GOING TO TAKE YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL!” ***** Cut to Stevie Richards and Bluedust at the park. Bluedust: “Spray me with your big hose – Bluedust, 1996.” Richards starts spraying Meanie with a hose, wiping off all the blue cream. Bluedust: “I’m a Maniac, Maniac on the floor – Chris Farley, Valley Boys.” Richards drops the hose and Meanie picks it up and sprays him. Richards: “Meanie, you got me all wet…” Meanie: “Bluedust strikes again…” ***** Cut to Paul Varelans. “Taz, let’s get ready to rock and roll…” ***** Cut to Taz and Bill Alfonso. Taz: “Varelans, I’m going to shove that fat head of yours up your fat ass…” Alfonso: “AND IT’LL PROBABLY FIT!” ***** Cut to Raven. “Sandman, I’m going to show the whole world that pain that is inside you…” ***** Cut to the Sandman. “Pain? Pain? *hits head with cane* I feel no pain!”

ECW Hardcore TV #94 - June 25, 1996 We start with Joey Styles in the ring. “Hello everyone and welcome to EXTREME Championship Wrestling!” Joey pauses for the obligatory ECW chant. “I'm Joey Styles, at the ECW Arena in beautiful, rustic South Philadelphia, along with hundreds of fans, from all over the country and all over the world that have converged to the corner of Swanson and Richter for Hardcore Heaven 1996! At this time, because I have no choice, I’m going to be introducing…” The lights are turned off, as the crowd is restless. “What the hell…get off of me!” screams Joey Styles. The lights are turned back on and Stevie Richards, wearing a black trench coat, is using Joey to help him get back to his feet. The clueless putz tripped during the blackout! Stevie gets to his feet and picks up a black hat. Joey reluctantly finishes his sentence, “From Death Valley…The Underfaker… and his companion…” Joey sighs, “...Bluedust…and his, her, his director…Patricia” “Ride of the Valkyries” begins to play, as Divine Brown comes to the ring with a cigar in her mouth. The Blue Meanie, sorry, Bluedust follows her to the ring. Bluedust is wearing a white body suit, covered in blue paint. His face is also covered by the blue paint and he is wearing a blond wig. Bluedust helps Divine, opps, I mean Patricia into the ring and they, along with Richards, I swear I'll get it right soon, the Underfaker, surround an obviously depressed Joey Styles. Joey is startled by the Underfaker and he accidentally knocks off his hat. “STOP THE MUSIC ALREADY! You know, if I wanted to watch the circus, I’d stay home in Stamford!” screams a frustrated Joey Styles. Joey warns Richards that he better have some earth shattering news, or else he’s leaving. Joey also points out how Bluedust looks more like Dusty Rhodes than his own son, Dustin. Richards, in a deep voice, begins, “Joey Styles… the creatures of the night want to know…” His hat falls off again and Richards decides to ignore it, “…The creatures of the night need to know why I and my masculine friend, Bluedust are doing out here. We are out here tonight to announce that my man, Raven, the ECW World Heavyweight Champion…” Bluedust starts crawling around the ring, making it real hard for Richards and Joey Styles to stay in character. “…will be bringing out the girl the Underfaker has found to be the most disgusting, the dirtiest…” Bluedust tries to dry hump Joey’s leg, “…slimiest woman to show to society.” Richards tries his hardest to roll back his eyes. Bluedust drops to his knees in fear, “Have no fear Bluedust, I will not hurt you.” It looks like Richards has said his peace, but instead of leaving, Bluedust grabs the mic from Joey. “Mr. Joey Styles… Raven said that I wasn’t feminine enough, so I’m out here to show to you how feminine I can be…” Bluedust drops to his knees and Joey freaks out. He tries to leave the ring, only to have the Underfaker grab him by the neck. Joey swats Richards’ hand away, throws down the mic, and storms off to the back. The intro wraps up and now we go to Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. Joel Gertner can be heard in the background, doing his ring announcing duties. On tonight’s show, The Franchise defends the ECW World TV title against Chris Jericho, and Raven will defend the ECW World Heavyweight Title against an opponent of the fans choosing. You see, before Hardcore Heaven 96 even started, we gave the fans a chance to play booker, as they voted on the person who would be facing Raven for his belt. The votes are still being counted, but Joey Styles will let everyone know the verdict once it happens… what the hell is Joel Gertner doing? Cut to the ring, as Joel Gertner hams it up, “Let’s get ready to ru… Let’s get ready to ru… Let’s get ready to ru…” CRACK!!! The Sandman has come out to the ring and he has knocked out Joel Gertner with his cane! The fans chant “ONE MORE TIME”, so Sandman hits him again… and again. The Sandman picks up the mic and yells at Missy Hyatt to bring out Bob Artese. The fans chant “WELCOME BACK”, as Missy brings out Mr. Artese. The Sandman gives Artese two choices, he can be like Joel and receive an ass kicking or he can be the ring announcer that ECW deserves, but first… “Missy, get’em!” Missy starts making out with Bob Artese and the fans start chanting “HE’S HARDCORE”. Bob falls down, as Joey welcomes him back to ECW… and yes, he is hardcore. ****************************** “California Love” by 2Pac plays, as Joey Styles does a voice over for a commercial. “ECW Home Video proudly presents the Heat Wave History package. It was at Heat Wave ’94, where Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards met for the first time - The Pit Bulls and Taz war reached epic proportions, as Taz teamed up with… Sabu? - Dueling Canes as the Sandman took on “The Ironman” Tommy Cairo in an absolute bloodbath - In a match for the future of ECW, the Franchise collided with the Human Highlight Reel Sabu… In a match that saw Paul E’s phone, a memorable Chokeslam, and a suicide dive – plus it’s a No Roped Barbed Wire Match, as the Public Enemy battled the Funk Brothers - It’s Heat Wave ’95, which saw Bill Alfonso ban all the fans from the ECW Arena and got into a fight with none too happy Tod Gordon - Beulah and Francine met for the first time - In a tag team match up, “The Shooter” Dean Malenko & 2 Cold Scorpio took on Taz & partner Eddie Guerrero - Beulah and Francine decide not to be friends after all - The Public Enemy clashed with the Gangstas inside a weapons filled Cage match - It’s The Battle of the Sexes, as Stevie Richards faced Luna Vachon inside Rage of the Cage… And it’s the Chair Shot Heard Around the World! Purchase the Heat Wave History package now from ECW Home Video.” ****************************** 1) ECW World TV Title - Shane Douglas vs. Chris Jericho: We come back, as “Perfect Strangers” by Deep Purple plays. The Franchise comes to the ring first, with a smirk on his face. He drags the belt and tosses it in the ring. Chris Jericho comes out next, as Joey points out that if Jericho does capture the title, this will be the first singles title he’s won on American soil. Jericho manages to frustrate the Franchise in the opening seconds, to the point Douglas rolls to the floor and kicks the guardrail in frustration. Douglas responds by rolling back into the ring and getting into Jericho’s face. Douglas proceeds to slap him across the face! Jericho laughs it off and fires back with a slap of his own! The two trade slaps, until Jericho ends up ducking a slap and maneuvers into a backslide pin attempt; 1……2......No! Douglas shakes off this early pin attempt, but he soon is rolled up again, which of course sets him off. Douglas channels his frustration into knocking Jericho to the floor. From there, he waits for the opportune moment and when it comes, Douglas vaults over the ropes and lands on Jericho! Douglas rams Jericho into the ring post for good measure. Jericho holds himself up with aide from the guardrail, as Douglas stays on top of him with shots to the back. Jericho lands a jab to the gut and that’s enough to stop the Franchise in his tracks. Jericho then hooks Douglas and drapes him over the guardrail, all so he can go to the ring apron and come back down onto the Franchise! The move sends Douglas stumbling into the first row, while Jericho recovers on the opposite side of the guardrail. He begins to pull the guardrail towards the ring, slides back in the ring, and climbs to the top, just so he can then dive from the ring and glide over the guardrail, landing on the Franchise! Both are slow to get to their feet and even before they do, they begin to exchange blows. The fight eventually enters the aisle way, as Douglas slaps on a side headlock and begins to punch him in the head. Jericho fights back with jabs to the back and ends up lifting the Franchise off of his feet and placing him back on the guardrail. Jericho goes up to the ring apron again, as Douglas hops off the guardrail. Jericho looks back, before leaping onto the middle rope and attempting an Asi Moonsault. Jericho hits the concrete floor hard, barely landing on the Franchise. Douglas slowly crawls back into the ring, just as Jericho begins to stir. The Franchise regains control of the match and decides now is the time to mock Jericho, as he drops him with a standing dropkick, followed, of course, by Douglas yelling “COME ON BABY!”. Douglas begins to work over Jericho’s right leg, because if he takes the only advantage Jericho has, then he has the match all but won. Douglas feels the need to drop Jericho with another dropkick, but that’s not the end of the Franchise mockery, as he begins to set Jericho up on the top turnbuckle. He’s mocking Mikey Whipwreck now! The Franchise is attempting a Frankenmikey, but Jericho ends up fighting back and he counters with a top rope sit out Powerbomb! The ref gets to the count of five when Jericho begins get back to a standing base. He then climbs up to the top. Douglas tries knocking him down, but Jericho ends up knocking the Franchise back, momentarily. Jericho positions himself and lands a Picture Perfect Missile Dropkick. He makes the cover; 1......2……NO! The Franchise barely kicks out in time! “COME ON BABY!” Jericho gets a running start and he goes for the Lion Sault – Douglas lifts up his knees and Jericho lands on them! Douglas quickly scoops Jericho up and pops the hips and drops him with the Belly to Belly Suplex! 1……2......3! NO! Somehow, someway, Jericho gets a shoulder up before the three count. Douglas doesn’t skip a beat and it looks like he’s going for a Figure 4 Leg Lock. Jericho reaches up and pulls Douglas down into a small package, but Douglas easily escapes. Irish whip, reversal and Jericho fires back with a spin kick the sends Douglas to the ring apron. Jericho leaps to the second rope and dropkicks Douglas to the floor, sending him into the guardrail. Jericho follows up with a simple plancha, but there’s no water in the pool, once again. Douglas rolls in the ring and he is feeling the effects of this grueling match up. Jericho crawls onto the ring apron and he reenters the ring. Douglas strikes and he pops the hips once more – Jericho slips out and he rolls the Franchise up! 1……2……3! Winner: Chris Jericho (Pinfall > Roll Up | 12:09) HE DID IT! JERICHO PINNED THE FRANCHISE! JERICHO IS A CHAMPION! Douglas rolls to the floor and stays there, in shock. Jericho is handed the belt and the Franchise is seething mad. He enters the ring and snatches back the belt. He stares down at it for what seemed like an eternity, before handing off the belt to Jericho. Douglas then exits the ring and heads to the back. ****************************** Joey Styles is here for an important reminder, on July 13th, ECW returns to South Philly and the ECW Arena as we kick start the Heat Wave 96 tour. Tickets are going fast, so hurry up and purchase them before they run out and you miss out on a night of Extreme action. You will see, for the first time, a Four Corners match, as the New ECW World TV Champion Chris Jericho will put his belt on the line against three former champions - 2 Cold Scorpio, Mikey Whipwreck, and the Franchise Shane Douglas. It’s also the return of Rage of the Cage, ECW will never be the same. So remember to purchase your tickets now before it’s too late. ***** We cut to a commercial featuring hype man Lance Wright. “We interrupt this commercial break for a more civilized commercial. As you can tell by the very nature of our program, ECW is governed by a Conservative, Right Wing, politically correct establishment. Now when we are not hanging out in our corporate duds, we like to slip into something a little more comfortable… Say, for example, the EC F’N W T-Shirt. Buy now!” ****************************** Back with Joey Styles and he knows that Chris Jericho is destined for great things and he’ll probably capture more gold elsewhere, but his first will always be the ECW World TV title. Congratulations Chris Jericho. Back to business – We are just minutes away from finding out just who Raven will be facing, but first, here are some highlights from Hardcore Heaven 96. 2) Buh Buh Ray Dudley & Big Dick Dudley vs. The FBI: Cut to the ring, as JT Smith tries to help Buh Buh Ray Dudley with his line, “My name is…” Buh Buh Ray looks confused, “My name is…” Buh Buh Ray places the mic close to his mouth, “My name is Buh Buh Ray Dudley!” He did it! He finally did it! Buh Buh Ray leaps for joy, while Big Dick stoic expression scares JT. JT picks up the mic, “Now since there’s four of you and just two of us… I’ve decided to reach out and call in a favor to my uncle…” Uncle? Who can be JT Smith’s uncle? We get our answer, as well as a blast from the past, as Wildfire” Tommy Rich comes to the ring. Joey is shocked to see Tommy Rich, but how can he be Italian? I thought he was from Atlanta. Tommy whispers something to Bob Artese, “From…Little Atlanta in the Italian district of Georgia…” Little Atlanta?!? You’ve got to be kidding me – “He is the Big Don of the FBI, Tommy Rich!” Cut to the beginning of the match, as Big Dick absolutely destroys the Full Blooded Italians. He nearly decapitates JT Smith with a clothesline. Little Guido tries to do anything to stop Big Dick and he gets a clubbing forearm for his trouble. The Big Don knows that he has to do something, so he picks up a chair and knocks out Sign Guy Dudley. Dances with Dudley is the next to be creamed by Tommy Rich and this raises the ire of Big Dick. The big man stands face to face with the Big Don and Rich swings the chair - he breaks it over Big Dick’s head! It has no effect what so ever! Big Dick grabs Rich by the throat and Rich screams for help. JT Smith cracks a chair over Big Dick’s back. Big Dick turns around and stares at a frightened JT Smith. JT looks around for an escape route and when he spots it, the Italian Stallion books it to the back. Big Dick gives chase. Another cut – Buh Buh Ray is fighting a losing battle against Tommy Rich and Little Guido and there’s no one that can help him, as Sign Guy and DW are still knocked out and Big Dick is in the back searching for JT Smith – Wait, D-Von Dudley hops the guardrail, picks up a chair and enters the ring. This can’t be good for Buh Buh Ray Dudley – What? D-Von hits Rich with the chair, then he hits Guido. The FBI scatter to the floor, while D-Von grabs the mic, “Rule number three states thou shalt not *BEEP* with the Dudleys!” Buh Buh Ray gets to his feet, “It is now time to testify! This is my family, not that Big Dick. I make all the decisions, I sign all the contracts. I control you!” Buh Buh Ray shakes his head and grabs the mic, “D-Von, you are an ass…” D-Von cracks Buh Buh Ray’s skull with the chair! He exits the ring and Guido cautiously makes the cover; 1……2……3. Winner: The FBI (Pinfall | 2:18 Shown) “Highway to Hell” hits and here comes Big Dick Dudley! Just like the last time, D-Von hops the rails. Big Dick storms to the ring, surveys the carnage done by his half-brother and starts to give chase. Cut to outside the Arena – D-Von gets into a car and it leaves, just as Big Dick catches up. Big Dick growls in anger. Cut back to Joey Styles and D-Von wasn’t kidding around that he has full control over who Buh Buh Ray Dudley fights in an ECW ring, as he has signed his half-brother up for a match at Heat Wave 96, July 13th, ECW Arena in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – against Taz! ****************************** ECW Home Video presents HARDCORE HEAVEN 96! “This is it. It’s Taz from Extreme Championship Wrestling, the Orange and Black Attack, the Human Suplex Machine versus Paul Varelans, the Ultimate Fighter, the Alaskan Polar Bear. It’s a match neither man can lose. It’ a match both men need to win. The Shoot Fight is on at Hardcore Heaven 96!” Purchase HARDCORE HEAVEN 96 now! ***** Cut to Lance Wright standing in front of the ECW banner. “I’m Lance Wright, this is Hype Central, and it’s so hot that it must be a Heat Wave!” “Guilty” by Gravity Kills begins to play ECW Home Video presents HARDCORE HEAVEN 96! Saturn comes in the ring and lands a dropkick to the back of Paul Varelans’ head and the Alaskan Polar Bear is down! Taz goes in for the kill and synchs in the Kajahijime, the Tazmission. Varelans fades fast, as the referee calls for the bell. Purchase HARDCORE HEAVEN 96 now! ****************************** “Come Out and Play” by the Offspring blares over the PA System. Raven emerges from behind the black curtain, with Stevie Richards and Nova trailing not far behind. Raven looks to be annoyed by Nova and Stevie’s actions, so he sits in the corner, while Stevie grabs the mic. He listened to what Raven ordered him to do and he did it! He first tried with Divine Brown, but Raven said that she hadn’t slept with enough men yet. Next he tried with Bluedust, but Raven said he wasn’t feminine enough. But now he thinks he has got it right. “Raven, I give to you the dirtiest, the sleaziest, the *BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* in the world. I bring to you my exe – FRANCINE!!!” Quick cut to Joey Styles – the votes have been counted and it is a tie between the Sandman and Pit Bull #2 – GO BACK TO THE RING! Cut back to the ring, as the Beast Master herself, Francine storms out and slaps Richards across the face. Pit Bull #2 holds back Francine – Raven blindsides him! Stevie Kick to the jaw! Raven spikes the Pit Bull with a DDT!. 3) ECW World Heavyweight Title: Raven © vs. Pit Bull #2 vs. The Sandman:Pit Bull #2 is back up! He pounds his chest and Raven isn’t impressed, as he gets in Pit Bull #2’s face. Pit Bull #2 steam rolls through Raven and this causes Raven to take a powder on the floor. Pit Bull #2 follows Raven and slams him, head first, into the guardrail. He dumps Raven up and over the guardrail. Stevie Richards gets the Pit Bull’s attention, briefly, but it is still enough time for Raven to distance himself from Pit Bull #2. The Pit Bull hops the rails and pursues Raven. Raven doesn’t get far, as Pit Bull #2 starts beating him with a steel chair. Raven’s face starts to resemble a crime scene, as blood covers it. Raven continues to run from Pit Bull #2 and this brings them back to the ring. Pit Bull #2 stays on top of the champ with a huge lariat. Raven is whipped to the far corner and Pit Bull #2 SANDWICHES him. Raven is whipped to the opposite corner and Pit Bull #2 sandwiches him again. Pit Bull #2 whips Raven to the far corner again and SANDWICH! Stevie slides in and spins Pit Bull #2 around. He tries for a Stevie Kick, but Pit Bull #2 catches the kick. All according to plan, as Raven goes down low. Stevie Richards is handed something by Nova. He hands it off to Raven and it’s a strand of barbed wire! Raven goes to pick up Pit Bull #2. He shoves him into the corner and begins to wrap the barbed wire around his fist. Raven charges, but Pit Bull #2 moves. Pit Bull #2 bounces off the ropes and comes back with another lariat. He then removes the barbed wire from Raven’s hand and begins wrapping it around Raven’s head. OH MY GOD – He slams Raven’s head into the turnbuckle! A quick snap mare and now Pit Bull #2 climbs the turnbuckles, as he is setting up for the Super Bomb. Richards and Nova come in and try to pull Raven away from Pit Bull #2. Tommy Dreamer comes out and hooks Nova and Richards and disposes them with a Double DDT! Prime Time Brian Lee has now come out to the ring. He grabs Tommy by the neck and drops him with the Prime Time Slam. Pit Bull #2 releases Raven and catches Brian Lee with a knee. Brian Lee doubles over in pain and Pit Bull #2 decides to lift him off of his feet and drop him with a Prime Time Powerbomb. A Stevie Kick catches Pit Bull #2 off guard and Raven spikes Pit Bull #2 with a DDT. He falls on top of Pit Bull #2; 1……2……3! Eliminated: Pit Bull #2 (Pinfall > DDT | 5:44) Tommy Dreamer begins to stir and so is Brian Lee – Another Prime Time Slam to Tommy Dreamer! Nova and Stevie Richards begin to stomp down on Dreamer, while Brian Lee shoves Pit Bull #2 into the corner and begins unloading on him. Raven has finally gotten to his feet and he is handed his title. WAIT! IT’S THE SANDMAN!He rolls into the ring and canes Richards. Nova is next to be canned and Brian Lee gets off of Pit Bull #2 and he gets caned. Raven rolls to the floor and begins to head to the back. The referee has no other recourse but to count out the champion, thus awarding the match to the Sandman. Sandman looks pissed, as once again, Raven has weaseled his way out of a match. Winner: The Sandman (Count Out | 6:07) Why is Bluedust coming to the ring? He enters the ring and grabs the mic, breaths in deeply, “Bluedust…” Beulah hits him low and together with Kimona, they drop him with a double DDT! The Sandman pulls out two beers and hands them to Dreamer and Pit Bull #2. He then gets one for himself and all three share a moment, as all three have a common enemy – Raven and his Nest.

nice ECW show, but I'm assuming that Bluedust is Dustin Rhodes, I don't know but The Underfaker, I'm also assuming it's Brian Lee, a ripoff to Goldust and The Undertaker in the World Wrestling Federation. But nice TV Title victory for Jericho too, it's about time somebody gave Jericho the TV Championship. Great ECW show by you man,

Underfaker is Stevie Richards. I guess I could have written that segment better.

ECW Hardcore TV #95 – July 2, 1996 The show opens up outside, as Raven sits on a bench. “Throughout history, there are times when great men must die in order to better society…” Raven stands up and begins to walk around the park. “These once great and beloved men were turned on by those they once called friends, family – I, too, am one of those men. My childhood friend, the ghost of my father, the love of my live, all want me dead. And to that I welcome it with open arms. I’ve been feeling the pains of others my whole live and if my death brings my pain to the masses, then so be it. I do not fear death, I do not fear isolation – I carry this burden for everyone. I am the martyr of a new generation. I am your ECW World Heavyweight Champion. Quote the Raven, nevermore.” The intro wraps up and now we go to Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. “Hello everybody and welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling, I’m Joey Styles.” Joey is ashamed to call Raven the ECW World Champion because of what he did last week. The fans were given the opportunity to pick the challenger for Raven’s belt and they chose The Sandman and Pit Bull #2, so Commissioner Tod Gordon made it a three way dance. Before the match even began, Stevie Richards presented Raven with the girl who would become Raven’s mistress, valet, companion, whatever – and he presented Raven with Francine, the Pit Bulls Beast Master. Francine was furious and out she came, jump starting the three way dance. Pit Bull #2 took Raven to the limit, but in the end, Raven eliminated him. Raven’s Nest would beat down both Pit Bull #2 and Tommy Dreamer, who came down to help his friend. The Sandman made the save, but before he got his opportunity at Raven and the title, Raven hit the bricks. The Sandman was declared the victor, but once again Raven had the last laugh. This brings us to Saturday night, July 13th, Heat Wave ’96, ECW Arena in South Philadelphia, Rage of the Cage, where ECW may never be the same. Raven, alongside Stevie Richards and “Prime Time” Brian Lee, will be locked inside the cage, as they take on the three men who want nothing more than to destroy them – Tommy Dreamer, Pit Bull #2, and the Sandman. The stipulation states that if Stevie Richards is beat, then Raven will lose his belt, but that may not matter because July 13th, ECW Arena – it is much more than that. Raven may have just dug his own grave and at Heat Wave ’96, all three of those men want nothing more than to send Raven to hell.
****************************** Joey Styles is here for an update on Heat Wave ’96. The Heat Wave weekend is almost upon us. It begins Friday night, July 12th at the AG Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The main event – Raven and his hired enforcer, “Prime Time” Brian Lee will be taking on “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer and “The Mad Dog of War” Pit Bull #2 in a Falls Count Anywhere match up. Tommy Dreamer steps in for an interview. “It goes like this – if you want bloodshed, if you want violence, I give you my personal guarantee – it’ balls to the wall. Allentown, I’m going to walk through hell and take it to the extreme.” Friday Night – July 12, 1996 AG Hall Allentown, Pa. | Falls Count Anywhere Raven & Brian Lee vs. Tommy Dreamer & Pit Bull #2 |
Now we cut to the ring. 1) 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Mikey Whipwreck:Everyone’s favorite underdog and ECW’s own Triple Crown winner Mikey Whipwreck comes to the ring first. Joey Styles points out how this is the third meeting between these two this year; both men won one match apiece, so this is the rubber match. “Jungle Boogie” by Koll and the Gang begins to play and here comes the super arrogant 2 Cold Scorpio. Scorpio takes his sweet time getting to the ring, obviously a ploy to anger his opponent. Mikey and Scorpio are nose to nose, as Bob Artese makes the introductions. They tie up and Scorpio shoves Mikey to the floor. He hams it up for the crowd, while Mikey rethinks his strategy. Strength won’t work here. Mikey must utilize his speed advantage if he hopes to defeat 2 Cold. They tie up again and Scorpio fires off a pair of well-placed knees and a straight jab to the face. Mikey reverses an Irish whip and catches him with a shoulder block. Mikey hits the ropes and looks for a spinwheel kick – Scorpio catches Mikey and slams him back to the mat! Scoop and a slam from Scorpio and a lateral press; 1……2…….Two only and Scorpio sends Mikey in – he tosses him up and slams Mikey back down to earth with a Tiger Bomb! 1…...2……No! Mikey fights back with a few jabs and Scorpio fires back with some jabs of his own. Big mistake by Mikey, you cannot trade jabs with 2 Cold Scorpio. Scorpio whips Mikey into the ropes – Another Tiger Bomb and Mikey is in trouble, as Scorpio is stalking him. Mikey shoved back into the corner and Scorpio unloads a few kicks to the chest. He whips Mikey to the opposite corner and now he lifts Mikey up high into the air – Mikey squirms his way out of it and rolls Scorpio up; 1……Scorpio kicks out. Mikey whips in Scorpio and he lands a back elbow. Scorpio still stands, so Mikey lands a clothesline. That rocks Scorpio. Mikey hits the ropes – Tiger Bomb – NO! Mikey counters with a head scissors takeover! Scorpio rolls to the ring apron and slowly gets up. Mikey charges into the ropes and Scorpio crashes into the guardrail. Scorpio is slow to get back into the ring and Mikey allows it. Mikey holds Scorpio in position and sends him back to the floor with a dropkick! Mikey follows up with a pescado, landing on Scorpio. Scorpio bounces back and sends Mikey into the steel. Scorpio grabs a chair from the front row and throws it down on Mikey. He rolls Mikey back into the ring and slaps on a camel clutch. Scorpio pulls Mikey up and shoves him to the corner and delivers a few chops across the chest. He sends him crashing into the opposite corner. Mikey with a tip up and Scorpio tosses him over the ropes, onto the ring apron. Mikey stuns Scorpio with a jab to the ears. Mikey goes to the top – huge Crossbody Block from Mikey; 1……2……No! He got the shoulder up. Gutcheck time for Mikey and he unloads on the chest of Scorpio. He whips him in – no, Scorpio reverses. Scorpio goes for a clothesline and Mikey slides under him. Mikey with a kick and Scorpio catches it – Enziguri floors Scorpio; 1……2….No! He gets his shoulder up again! Irish whip, reversed, Mikey tries for a Lou Thez Press – BLOCKED! Scorpio falls down and drops Mikey neck first across the top rope. Scorpio lifts Mikey up for a Powerbomb and he shoves him into the far corner. Scorpio follows Mikey to the top – OH MY - FALL AWAY SUPER SLAM! Referee John Finnegan is up to four – Wait, what’s the Franchise doing out here? He gets onto the ring apron and mockingly cheers for Mikey. Mikey takes notice of this and starts to argue with him. Scorpio comes in from behind, but Mikey sees it coming, so he drops down and both Scorpio and Douglas fall to the floor. Mikey stands up and leaps over the ropes, landing on top of Douglas! Scorpio rolls into the ring and Mikey goes to the top – Franken – NO! Scorpio catches and drops Mikey with a sit out powerbomb; 1……2……No! Mikey is still alive! Irish whip, reversal and Mikey drops Scorpio with a firemen’s carry slam. Mikey goes up top again and dives right into the waiting arms of Scorpio – Powerslam; 1……2……No! Scorpio goes to the top this time. Mikey crotches him and follows Scorpio to the top. Mikey is looking for the Franken Mikey – He goes for it and crashes into the canvas! The Franchise was holding down Scorpio’s right leg! Scorpio repositions himself – He falls back into a Moonsault Leg Drop. After Scorpio Drops Da Bomb on Mikey, he hooks the leg; 1……2……3! Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio (Pinfall > Drop Da Bomb | 14:18) Shane Douglas enters the ring and mocks Mikey Whipwreck; 2 Cold Scorpio watches on with a smirk going across his face. Douglas picks Mikey up and slaps him. This wakes him up, but it’s too late, as the Franchise locks on, pops the hips, and drives him back down to the canvas with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Scorpio claps for the Franchise, as he begins to leave the ring. Douglas talks more trash to Mikey and then he picks him back up. Douglas slaps him once more and this sends Mikey crumbling to the mat. Douglas laughs and stats to put the boots to a defenseless Mikey – Here comes Chris Jericho, but it is too late, as the Franchise bolts to the floor. Jericho helps Mikey back to his feet, but Mikey ends up pushing Jericho away. He will not forgive Jericho for what he did at Fight the Power. Jericho watches on from the ring, as two referees come out to help Mikey to the back. ****************************** We are back with Joey Styles – The cameras are always running, no matter where ECW goes. Case in point; ECW Fan Cam action from a recent show down at the Lulu Temple in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania - The Fan Cam footage shows New Jack being thrown into a the guardrail by one of the Bruise Brothers. Brian Lee picks up New Jack and holds a trashcan lid to the side of his head and the Bruise Brother drives his foot through it! Brian Lee goes for the cover; 1……2……3! Tommy Dreamer tries but fails to break the count in time. He gets a chair thrown at his head for his troubles. Brian Lee picks up Dreamer and launches him like a lawn dart into the ring post. Cut back to Joey Styles and it’s almost time for the Weapons Match between “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer and Raven’s own personal Godzilla, “Prime Time” Brian Lee, all apart of Hardcore Heaven ’96, which you can now purchase from ECW Home Video. Now, here to tell you more about Hardcore Heaven ’96, a man who can sell a used ECW idea to Vince McMahon after it was stolen by WCW, Lance Wright in Hype Central! Cut to Lance Wright standing in front of the ECW Banner. “California Love” by 2Pac plays in the background. “I’m Lance Wright and this is Hype Central! And you can catch all the action from Hardcore Heaven ’96, now available exclusively from ECW Home Video - so call and order your copy today. And as the action gets hotter, so does the temperature – it kind of fills like there’s going to be a heat wave…” Heat Wave ‘96 ECW Arena/ July 13, 1996 Philadelphia, Pa. We are back with Lance, “Heat Wave ’96 is gonna cause a meltdown in the sport of professional wrestling. Now here’s a look at the history of this annual event…” Cut to a commercial, as Joey Styles does a voice over. “ECW Home Video proudly presents the Heat Wave History package. It was at Heat Wave ’94, where Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards met for the first time - The Pit Bulls and Taz war reached epic proportions, as Taz teamed up with… Sabu? - Dueling Canes as the Sandman took on “The Ironman” Tommy Cairo in an absolute bloodbath - In a match for the future of ECW, the Franchise collided with the Human Highlight Reel Sabu… In a match that saw Paul E’s phone, a memorable Chokeslam, and a suicide dive – plus it’s a No Roped Barbed Wire Match, as the Public Enemy battled the Funk Brothers - It’s Heat Wave ’95, which saw Bill Alfonso ban all the fans from the ECW Arena and got into a fight with none too happy Tod Gordon - Beulah and Francine met for the first time - In a tag team match up, “The Shooter” Dean Malenko & 2 Cold Scorpio took on Taz & partner Eddie Guerrero - Beulah and Francine decide not to be friends after all - The Public Enemy clashed with the Gangstas inside a weapons filled Cage match - It’s the Rage of the Cage and The Battle of the Sexes, as Stevie Richards faced Luna Vachon… And it’s the Chair Shot Heard Around the World! Purchase the Heat Wave History package now from ECW Home Video.” Back with Lance, “Last year’s Heat Wave saw the chair shot heard around the world. It was the first time anyone had ever truly gotten to Raven. This year, once again, he is trapped inside a steel cage – will this be the demise of Raven? Heat Wave ’96, Rage of the Cage… ECW will never be the same again…” ****************************** 2) Weapons Match – Brian Lee vs. Tommy Dreamer:Brian Lee is already in the ring, as “Man In The Box” by Alice in Chains begins. Beulah and Kimona bring a shopping cart full of weapons to the ring - Wait, here comes Tommy Dreamer from the other side of the ring! Brian Lee doesn’t see Dreamer coming in and he gets hit with a 2x4, HOOO! Dreamer starts to empty the trashcans full of goodies and he ends up smashing one over Brian Lee’s head. Brian Lee shakes it off and tries to fight back, but Dreamer goes down stairs and then he follows up by slamming a guitar over Brian Lee’s back. Dreamer slams another trashcan down on Brian Lee. He then follows up by throwing Brian Lee over the top rope and to the floor. “He’s like a kid in a candy store. He’s like a bull in a China shop. He’s like Tommy Dreamer in a Weapons Match at the ECW Arena!” comments Joey Styles. Dreamer goes to the floor and grabs ahold of Brian Lee. He walks over to the guardrail and Brian Lee slams Dreamer into them! Both men are now back in the ring and Brian Lee slams down a trashcan on Tommy Dreamer. He picks up one of the already dented trashcans and throws it down onto Dreamer again. Brian Lee now has a fork and he stabs at Dreamer’s forehead! Brian Lee picks up two frying pans and slams then against Dreamer’s head. The action goes back to the floor – Dreamer slams a wooden crate over Brian Lee’s forehead. Dreamer takes the fight outside, into the sea of ECW fans. Brian Lee fights back by slamming two chairs against Dreamer’s skull. Brian Lee drags Dreamer through the crowd and now they’re going out to the corner of Swanson and Richter. Good news for all the fans that they’ve turned away; now they’re getting a show! Brian Lee hurls Dreamer face first into a nearby truck. He then drags Dreamer across the street of the ECW Arena and throws him into a metal door from a nearby building. Brian Lee bangs Dreamer’s head against the metal door over and over and over again. Dreamer is busted open, as blood splatters onto the metal door. Somehow, someway Dreamer fights back with a chair and now it’s time for some payback from Dreamer, as he bangs Brian Lee’s head into the metal door two times. Dreamer drags Brian Lee into the streets and he goes for a suplex –No – Brian Lee suplexes Dreamer onto the streets. It’s a Massacre on Swanson Street! Brian Lee drags Dreamer back to the ECW Arena parking lot. Tommy takes over by slamming Brian Lee into a wall and then he slams another chair right onto Brian Lee’s busted open forehead. Tommy wants to bring the action back into the Arena, but Brian Lee isn’t finished yet, as he throws Dreamer into the side of a truck. Brian Lee drags Dreamer back into the building, through the fans, and dumps him over the guardrail. He keeps Dreamer down with a chair shot. Brian Lee rolls Dreamer back into the ring – Dreamer catches him coming in with a cookie sheet. Dreamer picks up a mailbox and he rams it into Brian Lee’s back. Dreamer picks up another mailbox, this time smashing it against Brian Lee’s forehead. Dreamer is not done yet, as he picks up a violin and smashes it into pieces over Brian Lee’s right shoulder. Brian Lee picks up a piece of plywood and knocks down Dreamer to one knee. Brutal trashcan shot from Brian Lee keeps Dreamer down. Dreamer goes down stairs again. He picks up a guitar, sends Brian Lee into the ropes and swings it – Brian Lee ducks it – Prime Time Slam! Brian Lee grabs a cinder block and a bat. Oh no, stop the match! He’s going to maim Tommy! He places the cinderblock on Dreamer’s groin – Beulah hits Brian Lee from behind with a cookie sheet. Brian Lee turns around and grabs Beulah by the neck – OH MY GOD NO! Kimona gets onto the ring apron and what is she doing – she’s taking off her shirt! Brian Lee lets go of Beulah and heads towards Kimona. Kimona drops down to the floor – Brian Lee turns and Beulah with a frying pan - Dreamer with a stop sign. He hooks Brian Lee and spikes him with a DDT; 1......2……3! HE GOT HIM! Winner: Tommy Dreamer (Pinfall > DDT | 9:36) He has no time to celebrate, as the Bruise Brothers storm the ring and gang up on Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer cannot fight back against this onslaught, as he falls to his knees. Here comes the cavalry! Pit Bull #2 rolls into the ring and starts throwing haymakers at both Bruise Brothers. Brian Lee thrusts his knee into the Pit Bull’s back – He grabs him by the throat and drives him down onto a trashcan with a Prime Time Slam. The Bruise Brothers go back to destroying Tommy Dreamer, while Brian Lee begins to choke out Pit Bull #2. Here come the Sandman – cane shot to one Bruise Brother - one to the other Bruise Brother – Brian Lee gets up and gets caned too. The Sandman raises his cane in triumph – Stevie Kick! Stevie Richards comes out of nowhere and catches the Sandman with a kick. Sandman falls into the hands of Brian Lee – Prime Time Slam! Who can stop the Nest? ****************************** After a quick break, we go back to the action. Brian Lee has Tommy Dreamer on top of the concession stand, as the Bruise Brothers are creating a stack of four tables right below them. Brian Lee has Tommy by the throat – Prime Time Slam! Tommy falls through the four tables, onto the concrete floor! OH MY GOD! Tommy needs help, right now.

Wow -
My man you got some strong stuff going on here. I just caught up on your shows and while the content is really good for me and my tastes there's too much information and it's too messy. It doesn't look good in my opinion and it makes it hard to read it's a bit all over the place.
Besides from the look though, I like the stories you are telling and even though you are only 4/5 shows in you have a good feel for the time period and the shows are very ECW.
If you took out some data and cleaned it up a bit you could have a winner of a diary on your hands!

ECW Hardcore TV #96 – July 9, 1996 We get some new footage, as they show the aftermath of the horrific fall. Beulah and Kimona look worried, as Paul Heyman, Tod Gordon, and group of wrestlers check on Tommy Dreamer. Damage Control, ECW’s own medical staff, come out carrying a stretcher. They strap Dreamer to the stretcher, and with the help of Heyman and some wrestlers, they left up and carry Tommy to a waiting ambulance. The intro wraps up and now we go to Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. Styles: ”I’m Joey Styles and welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling. With less than a week from Heat Wave ’96, and with everything that is going down right now – from Raven walking out of his scheduled Title defense against the Sandman, to Sabu and Rob Van Dam locked in a battle for more than respect, to what transpired last week between Tommy Dreamer and “Prime Time” Brian Lee - it is truly hour most extreme hour – and it brings us to this Saturday Night at Heat Wave ’96, the Rage of the Cage, six man tag team action, as Raven, Stevie Richards, and “Prime Time” Brian Lee go to war against The Sandman, Pit Bull #2 and my guest at this time, Tommy Dreamer.” A banged up and bruised Tommy Dreamer steps into view. Dreamer: ”It goes like this – Richards, you got a lot more to worry about then me taking you out. Raven, last year I let you escape with your life, this year the ante has been upped – and Brian Lee, I personally guarantee – I’m going to take you to a whole new level of the extreme.” **COMMERCIALS** We’re back with Joey Styles and right now it’s the ECW World Tag Team Champions the Eliminators, the best tag team in the world today, taking on the Gangstas, arguably the most popular tag team in ECW History. 1) ECW World Tag Team Titles – The Eliminators vs. The Gangstas: Cut to the ring, as The Eliminators come out, carrying their belts. Saturn looks miserable, like he always does, while Kronus hams it up for the camera. “Natural Born Killaz” begins to play and here are The Gangstas! They march to the ring empty handed; they don’t need weapons to inflict damage – Wait – The Bruise Brothers ambush the Gangstas from behind! Joey thinks that this attack is the result of the Bruise Brothers defeating the Gangstas a few weeks back in Plymouth Meeting. They think that they deserve a shot at the Eliminators and the gold. Tonight is their night to make an impact and it looks like they’re achieving that goal. New Jack is held down by Don Harris and his brother is going in for a Big Boot to the face – No! New Jack ducks and the Bruise Brothers collide! This is the Gangstas chance to mount a comeback. New Jack slams a chair down onto one of the Bruise Brother, while Mustafa sends the other one into the steel. Mustafa gets into the ring and mouths off to Saturn; Big mistake, as both Eliminators gang up on Mustafa. From out of the frying pan into the fire, how can the Gangstas fight back against these odds? Mustafa fights back as best he can, but New Jack can’t do anything, as his head collides with a chair, busting him open. With New Jack knocked out, the Bruise Brothers go after Mustafa. The Eliminators decide to bow out of the fight and they reenter the ring to watch the carnage unfold. Damage Control come out to help New Jack, but he doesn’t want it. New Jack can barely stand. The Bruise Brothers look to be satisfied with what they did, so they start to head to the back. Winner: No Contest ( 2:06) Saturn picks up the mic... Saturn: “Hey Bruise Brothers – Bruise Brothers, we never asked you for your help. If you want our belts so badly, then come into this ring and take them you inbred *BEEP*” The Bruise Brothers do not back down from a fight, so they storm the ring. Kronus and Don Harris fight on the floor outside the ring, while Ron Harris sends Saturn into the ropes. Big Boot – No – Saturn ducks and he comes back with a thrust kick to the jaw. Scoop and a slam and now; Saturn heads up top – Big Elbow Drop. Macho Who? Saturn starts to unload with fists to the head of Ron Harris. He then tosses him to the floor – Saturn up and over the top rope, landing on Ron Harris. Is this a sanctioned match? Kronus and Don Harris are now in the ring. Don Harris is in the corner and Kronus comes in with a Handspring Back Elbow! Irish whip reversed and Saturn crashes into the guardrail. Kronus sends Don Harris into the steel. A table is propped up onto the guardrail and Saturn is sent crashing into it. The table does not break, so Don Harris sends Kronus into it. It still stands! Saturn and Ron Harris bring the fight into the stands – KRONUS IS TOSSED INTO THE TABLE AND IT FINALLY BREAKS! Kronus is tossed into the first few rows. He fights back with a spin kick and follows up with a chair shot to the skull. Kronus is getting his payback! The fight returns to the ringside area – Saturn goes up top again and this time he looks for the Saturn Sault. He hits nothing but canvas! Saturn is slow to get back up – Big Boot knocks him back down. Kronus is sent into the ropes – Double Big Boot. What the – a trashcan is thrown into the ring and it clips Ron Harris in the head. IT’S THE GANGSTAS!!! New Jack and Mustafa are back and they’re out for blood, as the Gangstas single out the Eliminators. Kronus is knocked to the floor and New Jack slams one of the title belts into Saturn’s forehead! Mustafa picks up the trashcan and tosses it at Ron Harris. New Jack goes to the floor and goes back to beating down Kronus. Mustafa sends Don Harris to the floor and he knocks the other one out with a shot from the other title belt. A horde of officials come out to restore order. New Jack rolls into the ring, holding a black flag. He unfolds it and there’s a big red X in the center of the flag. “Natural Born Killaz” plays again and the Gangstas are the only team left standing in the ring! Tonight, a hit list has been made and the Gangstas plan to take them out one by one. **COMMERCIALS** |

We cut back to the ring. 2) Steve Corino vs. Axl Rotten: A young man in a black singlet is in the ring and he has the mic. Corino: ”My name is Steve Corino and as you can see, I don’t need steroids to look good…” He poses for the fans. Corino: “And I don’t need to use chairs and other garbage to get over with all of you fans… unlike my overweight opponent over there…” He points to Axl Rotten. Axl smirks, before he unloads about half a dozen jabs on Corino. Axl sends Corino into the ropes. He holds on to them and baits Axl in – Axl falls to the floor and it looks like Corino is going to fly – or maybe not, as he shakes his head and backs off. Axl rolls back into and catches Corino with a shot to the ribs. Scoop and a slam from Axl and he follows up with a lateral press; One - Two - No. Corino gets his left shoulder up in time. Corino begins to stir, so Axl sends him crashing into the far corner. Corino staggers backwards, right into a back body drop. Corino begs for his live – it’s all a ploy, as Corino hits Axl low and pulls him back to the floor. Corino now has second thoughts, as he goes up and over with a pescado – Axl catches him and slams Corino into the ring post! Corino can barely stand, so Axl takes his head off with a lariat. Corino is rolled back into the ring and Axl uncharacteristically goes to the top. He falls down into the mat, missing his initial target. Corino his sure full of himself, as he walks over to the near corner and swivels his hips for some unknown reason – Axl is back up and Corino uncorks a superkick. Axl is down again and Corino spots a chair in the corner. It looks like he’s going to get hardcore after all. Corino swings back the chair – and decides to sit down on it instead and apply a chinlock. Boo Steve Corino, boo. Axl doesn’t like this one bit, as he stands up and tosses Corino into the ropes. Axl picks up the chair – Corino stops himself and slides to the floor. He’s leaving to the back, that coward. Or maybe not, as ”The Shah” Hack Myers comes out from the back and grabs Corino from behind and throws him back into the ring. Corino starts to share some harsh words with Hack. He turns around and flinches at the site of Axl brandishing the chair. Corino stands up and tries to make his exit again – Myers puts a stop to this with a hard right, which of course is followed by the crowd yelling “SHAH!” Corino stumbles around, right into a harsh looking chair shot from Axl Rotten. Axl sits on top of an unconscious Steve Corino; ONE! TWO! THREE! Welcome to ECW Steve Corino. Winner: Axl Rotten (Pinfall > Chair Shot | 4:29) Axl and Hack leave the ring, while referee John “Pee Wee” Moore helps Steve Corino back to his feet. Corino demands the mic and Bob Artese hands him it. Corino: “What was that? THAT WAS TRASH! THIS WHOLE COMPANY IS TRASH! EVERYONE IN THE BACK IS TRASH! ALL OF YOU ARE TRASH! I DARE, NO I DEMAND THAT SOMEBODY CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE!” Journey with me into the mind of a maniac Doomed to be a killer since I came out the nutsac I'm in a murderous mindsate with a heart full of terror I see the devil in the mirror Corino is going to regret that and here we go again! The Gangstas hit the ring and New Jack starts unloading on Corino. Corino falls back into the corner and New Jack keeps him there with a few headbutts. The Gangstas are taking over ECW, as the fans are going crazy for them. New Jack is not done with Corino, as he hits him low. Mustafa and New Jack throw up the X, as the fans chant “E-C-W!” over and over again. HERE COMES THE ELIMINATORS! Saturn slides into the ring and pairs off with New Jack, while Kronus slams a plastic trashcan against Mustafa’s skull. Saturn and New Jack trade punches – and here comes The Bruise Brothers! Of course. The ring is starting to resemble a battle royal now, as the locker room starts to empty. Half a dozen men try to hold back the Eliminators, another half tries to hold back the Gangstas, and the rest try to hold back the Bruise Brothers. The ring is eventually cleared, except for the Gangstas. “Natural Born Killaz” plays again and we haven’t even finished Hardcore Heaven – and there’s already a Heat Wave rolling through ECW. **COMMERCIALS** |

We are back with Joey Styles – Heat Wave ’96 is this Saturday at the ECW Arena in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and after this Saturday night, ECW may never be the same. On tap are the two main events for the night – the first main event is a Four Corners Elimination Match Up for the ECW World Television championship. The challengers are… “The Franchise” Shane Douglas; former ECW World Heavyweight champion, former ECW World Television champion, former WWF Intercontinental champion, and former WCW World Tag Team champion with Ricky Steamboat. Mikey Whipwreck; former ECW World Heavyweight champion, former ECW World Television champion, and former ECW World Tag Team champion with Cactus Jack. 2 Cold Scorpio; former four time ECW World Television champion, former ECW World Tag Team champion with the Sandman, and former WCW World Tag Team champion with Marcus Bagwell, don’t hold that against him. And then there is the champion, Chris Jericho; the last survivor of the Hart Family Dungeon. He is the underdog, going up against three men who have held more gold then him. The second main event is the Rage of the Cage; Raven, Stevie Richards, and “Prime Time” Brian Lee will be facing The Sandman, Pit Bull #2, and Tommy Dreamer. Raven isn’t defending his belt, but if Stevie Richards is beat, Raven will lose it… In essence, Richards is defending Raven’s ECW World Title. The Sandman is looking for payback against Raven, for walking out of his match, Tommy Dreamer is looking for payback for what Brian Lee did to him on last week’s episode, and Pit Bull #2 is looking for payback against Stevie Richards, for costing him the title. If you can make it to the ECW Arena this Saturday night, you will be the first to have the opportunity to purchase tickets for when ECW returns to South Philly on August 3rd – one match that is signed, had to be signed, pits Rob Van Dam against Sabu again, this time in a Stretcher Match. This is the result of what went down at Hardcore Heaven ’96 and what went down was nothing short of legendary. Joey knows that the term Legendary has been used, reused, and abused so you be the judge by ordering Hardcore Heaven ’96 and see the match in full. Joey would find it amiss if he couldn’t show you the story that is Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu, so here are some highlights, courtesy of ECW Home Video. 3) Sabu vs. Rob Van Dam: Rob Van Dam comes out first, wheeling wrestling only certifiable Loose Cannon Brian Pillman to the ring. Joey comments on the rumors that Pillman is trying to get Van Dam employed by the WWF. Van Dam enters the ring and poses for the ECW fans, none of which are saying kind things to him – Here comes Sabu rushing to the ring. He ducks under a lariat from Van Dam and springboards backwards and takes out his opponent. Van Dam rolls to the floor, as Sabu retrieves a chair and sets it up. Sabu hits the ropes, leaps off of the chair to the top rope and dives onto Van Dam and Pillman! OH MY GOD! Pillman looks to be hurt, as Damage Control come out to check on him. [CLIP] They lock up and Sabu backs Van Dam to the corner. Clean break from Sabu. Sabu comes in with a leg dive takedown, where he then begins working over the left leg. Sabu picks up Van Dam to his feet and whips him into the corner. Sabu then bounces off the ropes and drops Van Dam with a clothesline. He follows up with a front face lock. Sabu whips Van Dam into the corner again and he bounces off the ropes. Van Dam sees it coming this time and counters with a spin kick. Van Dam goes to the top and is stopped by Sabu. Sabu climbs up too, balances himself, and then drops Van Dam back to the ring with a hurricanrana. Sabu rolls to the floor and retrieves a chair. He rolls back into the ring and sets up the chair, while Van Dam recovers in the corner. Sabu gets a running start and leaps onto the chair – AIR SABU! NO! Van Dam rolls to the floor just in time. Sabu fires back with a baseball slide kick though, and then dumps Van Dam up and over the guardrail. He rolls back into the ring, sets up the chair, gets a running start, leaps off of the chair to the ropes – AIR SABU! [CLIP] Sabu scoops up Van Dam and slams him by the ropes. He then hits a slingshot Moonsault; One - Two - Van Dam places his foot under the bottom rope. Sabu follows up by synching in the Camel Clutch, a move made famous by his uncle the Sheik. Sabu decides to place Van Dam on the top turnbuckle. He tries to climb up too, but Van Dam fights back and knocks Sabu off. He hooks the head and Van Dam spikes Sabu on his neck with a tornado DDT! Sabu rolls to the floor, clutching at his neck. Van Dam with a baseball slide kick and Sabu moves! Sabu whips Van Dam into the steel. He sets up a chair and gets a running start – AIR SABU! They continue to fight on the floor. Van Dam gets the better of Sabu and dumps him up and over the guardrail. Van Dam pulls the guardrail closer to the ring. He then gets back into the ring, balances himself on the top rope, and lands a huge Moonsault! [CLIP] Van Dam picks up the time keepers table and bridges it between the ring and the guardrail. He places Sabu on the table, but Sabu fights back. Van Dam is stuck on the top turnbuckle, while Sabu sets up the chair and leaps to the top. Van Dam fights back and Sabu slowly gets onto the table. Van Dam then drives his elbow through Sabu and the table! Van Dam rolls Sabu back into the ring and he rips off the neck brace. Van Dam begins to focus on the neck now. They end up taking each other out with duel clotheslines. Sabu picks up the chair and tosses at Van Dam before he can recover. Sabu stands over Van Dam, chair in hand, and lands the Arabian Facebuster. He hooks the legs; ONE - TWO - THRE-NO! Van Dam kicks out in time! [CLIP] Van Dam goes for an Enziguri, but Sabu ducks it – Van Dam spins his leg back and catches Sabu in the chest. He leaps to the top and comes down with a Frog Splash. He makes the lateral press; ONE! TWO! THRE-NO! Sabu lifts his right shoulder up in time. Van Dam is not done, as he drags Sabu closer to the far corner – Split Legged Moonsault – NO! Sabu moved, as he then picks up Van Dam and drops him over the top rope. Sabu leaves Van Dam to hang over the middle rope. He then sets up a chair and rests Van Dam’s head on it. OH MY - SABU GOES TO THE TOP AND COMES BACK DOWN WITH A GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THREE! NO! VAN DAM PLACES HIS RIGHT FOOT ON THE MIDDLE ROPE! Sabu follows up by tossing Van Dam into the air and dropping him with a tiger bomb. Sabu goes back to the top, but Van Dam throws a chair at him – Sabu catches it and Van Dam kicks the chair into his face! How on earth is Van Dam still moving, much less doing what he is doing? Van Dam goes to the top and Sabu stops him by throwing the very same chair at him. He doesn’t catch it and this distraction gives Sabu enough time to go to the top, balance himself, and DROPKICK VAN DAM TO THE FLOOR! [CLIP] Sabu has bridged another table and Van Dam is placed on top of it. Sabu reenters the ring, sets up the chair, leaps onto the top rope – HE DRIVES VAN DAM THROUGH THE TABLE WITH A DDT! Both men are slow to get back in the ring, but when they do, Sabu makes the cover; ONE! TWO! THREE! Winner: Sabu (Pinfall > DDT Through Table | 8:06 Shown) Both men can barely stand, as Damage Control comes back out to the ring with two stretchers. They strap both Van Dam and Sabu to the stretchers and some officials come out to help cart them away. **COMMERCIALS**

Gangsta heavy start to the show this week. Enjoyed the debut of Corino. You sold the attack at the end of last weeks show with Dreamer great. Maybe should of kept Dreamer of the show this week. Sabu with a big win.
Your 2 bigger shows were hyped well. This is not a criticism but there is too much data for me, each to their own but other than that really good diary which has a true ECW feel about it.

The Sandman pinned Stevie Richards and because of the stipulations, he became the ECW World Heavyweight Champion. Next, I will be discussing some news as it relates to ECW. First of all, WWF and ECW have come to a working agreement. The first phase of this agreement came when Brian Pillman was allowed to appear on ECW programming, while he was recovering from his injuries. The second phase came at Heat Wave ’96 when a recently returned WWF Superstar who has been dubbed as being a little psycho made an appearance and has agreed to several dates in the future. ECW has also come to a working agreement with IWA Japan, as evident by the recent debuts of rookie Yoshirihiro Tajiri and “Dr. Death” Steve Williams. Tommy Dreamer, Raven, and the Eliminators are scheduled to appear in Japan in August. ECW will be debuting at the Elks Lodge in Queens, New York on August 24th Be sure to tune in to ECW - Tuesday night on Sports Channel Philadelphia, Friday night on The MSG Network, Saturday night on WCIU 26 in the Chicago area and WRBW in Orlando, Florida - to see what went down at Heat Wave '96. ECW Hardcore TV #97 – July 16, 1996 1) Rage of the Cage - Raven, Stevie Richards, & ”Prime Time” Brian Lee vs. The Sandman, Pit Bull #2, & Tommy Dreamer – JOINED IN PROGRESS: The Sandman is handcuffed to the cage and he has nowhere to go – Raven now picks up the Sandman’s Singapore Cane and STARTS TO CANE HIM OVER AND OVER AGAIN! The cane has broken apart, as Raven barks orders to Richards; he wants him to take off the handcuffs. One cuff is opened… TOMMY DREAMER COMES FROM BEHIND AND RAMS RAVEN INTO RICHARDS! HE PICKS RAVEN UP AND HOLDS HIM IN PLACE –DREAMER SPIKES HIM WITH A PILEDRIVER! Dreamer hooks the leg; One - Two - Brian Lee breaks the count. The Blue Meanie and Nova begin to stack tables outside the ring. Brian Lee starts to drag Dreamer to the top of the cage. He tries to fight back, so Brian Lee gives him a stiff head-butt to stop him in his tracks… TOMMY GETS PRIME TIME SLAMMED OUT OF THE CAGE THROUGH A PILE OF TABLES!!! OH MY GOD! The Sandman uses his foot to help bring the keys closer to him. When they’re in reach, Sandman stretches out and picks them up and just like that, the Sandman is a free man. The Sandman hobbles over to Raven and hooks his head –DDT! The Sandman places his arm on top of Raven; ONE! TWO! THREE! NO! Richards breaks it up with a chair shot. Richards is the only man left standing in the ring; Brian Lee has gone to the floor to fight with Pit Bull #2. Stevie is tuning up the band now; why he is taking the time to mock Shawn Michaels now I do not know. He moves forward – STEVIE KICK! NO! Sandman ducked and he spins Richards around – DDT! He makes the lateral press; ONE! TWO! THREE! WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION! THE SANDMAN IS THE NEW ECW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! Winners: The Sandman, Pit Bull #2, & Tommy Dreamer (Pinfall > DDT | 2:09 Shown) We then find Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. As you just saw, we have a new ECW World Heavyweight champion in The Sandman, who was successful in the Rage of the Cage, as he pinned Stevie Richards and because of the stipulations, he became the new champion. For obvious reasons, we cannot show you much from that match, to see it in its entirety you’ll have to purchase the show, Heat Wave ’96, exclusively from ECW Home Video. A video package begins, as Joey narrates. August 27, 1994 – “The Franchise” Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight championship and thus became the first ECW World Heavyweight champion. April 15, 1995 - The Sandman defeated the Franchise, following Woman’s betrayal October 28, 1995 - Mikey Whipwreck defeated the Sandman in what many call the Extreme Upset. December 9, 1995 - The Sandman was victorious in a three way dance against Mikey Whipwreck and WWF Superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin. January 27, 1996 – Raven defeated the Sandman following a miscue between the Sandman and Woman. And now on July 13, 1996, we have a new champion, as the Sandman begins his third reign as champion, but what about Raven? What will Raven do now that he doesn’t have the belt, a belt he lost without being involved in the final moments of the match? **COMMERCIALS**
2) The Bruise Brothers vs. The Gangstas: “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath plays on, as The Bruise Brothers come to the ring. We cut to Joey Styles standing in front of the ECW banner. Step One of the Gangstas’ path of vengeance starts tonight against the Bruise Brothers. It’s sure to be a technical showcase with a lot of armbars, hurricanranas, and head scissors. Yeah right… Cut back to the ring, as “Natural Born Killaz” hits and here come The Gangstas. New Jack tosses the trashcan full of goodies into the ring. LOOK OUT! The Bruise Brothers don’t even wait for the bell before they go on the attack. New Jack is hammered in the back and now he is sent to the ropes – New Jack stops himself and picks up what looks like a magnetic football game. HE BREAKS IT ACROSS RON HARRIS’ BACK! Don Harris swats at Mustafa, forcing him to the ropes. Mustafa tries his best to block the blows long enough for him to grab a chair and jam it into the Don Harris’ face - see, I told you that this match would be a technical masterpiece. Now that he has some breathing room, Mustafa picks up the remnants of the football game and he smacks Don Harris on his forehead. Don Harris goes to the floor and Mustafa follows him. Mustafa goes to slam Don Harris head against the ring post – No, Mustafa’s head is slammed into it, busting him open. Inside the ring, New Jack breaks a crutch over Ron Harris’ mid-section. He picks up and throws the trashcan at Ron Harris. Now back to that football game – smacked right upside Ron Harris’ head. Referee John Finnegan warns New Jack that he must make an attempt to win this match, but New Jack does not seem to care – he now has a cheese grater and HE’S RAKING IT ACROSS HIS SKULL! Ron Harris is busted open and it doesn’t look like New Jack will be making a cover anytime soon. Mustafa and Don Harris are fighting near the Eagle’s Nest now. Mustafa slams Don Harris into the wall, right below Joey Styles. Mustafa drags the merchandise table over and places Don Harris on it. He climbs the Eagle’s Nest – Don Harris is back up and he follows Mustafa. MUSTAFA DOESN’T SEE IT COMING – BIG BOOT TO THE FACE! OH NO, DON HARRIS GRABS MUSTAFA AND TOSSES HIM OVER THE EDGE, RIGHT ONTO THE TABLE! New Jack watches all of this from the ring – What the – New Jack turns around and is knocked out by a superkick from Steve Corino! Corino holds New Jack in place – BIG BOOT TO THE FACE! No one gets up from that. Ron Harris falls on top of New Jack; ONE! TWO! THREE! Winners: The Bruise Brothers (Pinfall > Big Boot | 4:17) They are not done, as Ron Harris picks up a cookie sheet and smacks New Jack with it. New Jack’s head dents the cookie sheet, just as Mustafa and Don Harris return to ringside. Mustafa is handed a chair and he drives it into Don Harris’ ribs. New Jack hits low and this gives him enough wiggle room to drive his head into Ron Harris. New Jack picks up the cookie sheet and dents it even more over Ron Harris’ head. New Jack places the cookie sheet on top of Ron Harris’ right shoulder, just so he can then fall down and drive his own head into the cookie sheet! Officials finally storm the ring and try to put an end to this wild brawl. Mustafa tosses a referee to the side and he gets his skull caved in by a chair shot from Don Harris. Inside the ring – New Jack climbs to the top turnbuckle, chair in hand, but a few referees stand in between New Jack and his intended target, Ron Harris. They plead for New Jack to stand down. It looks like he may do just that, when Don Harris enters the ring. New Jack dives towards him and holds out the chair, making contact against Don Harris’ head. New Jack and Don Harris start to throw fists, as more people from the back storm the ring in order to separate the two. New Jack and Don Harris are pulled apart – Mustafa leaps into the pile and starts swinging away! The people in the ring now try to hold back Mustafa, who has Don Harris by the hair. They’re finally separated and both Bruise Brothers think it best to call it a night and go to the back. **COMMERCIALS** Wrestlepalooza ‘96 ECW Arena/ August 3, 1996 Philadelphia, Pa. Stretcher Match Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu
Handicap Match The Gangstas vs. The Bruise Brothers & Steve Corino
|
We are back with Joey Styles and how dumb to you have to be to intentionally piss off the Gangstas, because that is what Steve Corino has done, he’s pissed off one of the most violent duo in ECW history. Corino may have the Bruise Brothers at his side at Wrestlepalooza, but something tells Joey that that may not be enough. New Jack and Mustafa are out for blood and Corino is now at the top of their ever growing hit list. From extreme action, let’s go back to the ring for what Joey assures will be a real treat for ECW fans and old school fans alike – the ECW debut of “Dr. Death” Steve Williams. 3) Dr. Death Steve Williams vs. Yoshirio Tajiri: Yoshirio Tajiri, wearing blue and white trunks, is already in the ring, as we cut to the ring. Joey Styles talks up Tajiri – he has been wrestling for close to two years now and this is by far his biggest test to date. Dr. Death Steve Williams comes from behind the black curtain, wearing a white wrestling robe with red trim. This is Doc’s first outing on American soil in over three years. Doc enters the ring and pumps up in his corner. He removes his robe, and is ready for a fight. The bell rings and here we go. Tajiri sizes up his opponent and he throws up a warning kick. This doesn’t faze Doc, as he answers back with a huge lariat! Doc is already throwing bombs and we’re not even a minute into the match! Doc backs Tajiri back into the corner and peppers his chest with chops. Doc sends Tajiri into the opposite corner and Tajiri up and over an incoming Doc. Tajiri lands his first strike in the forum of a pair of kicks to the thighs – THIS FIRES DOC UP! HE SCREAMS FOR MORE! Tajiri throws a few more kicks and Doc moves in – he picks Tajiri up off of his feet and slams him into the corner. SHARP KICK TO DOC’S HEAD! Tajiri staggers Doc! Irish whip, reversed – Doc lowers his head and catches Tajiri with a huge Spine Buster! He hooks the leg; One – Two - Tajiri kicks out in time. Tajiri rolls to the floor, while the ref holds back Doc. Tajiri looks to be going native, as he picks up a chair and gets onto the rinapron – DOC PUNCHES THE CHAIR RIGHT INTO TAJIRI’S FACE! We need to take a quick break. **COMMERCIALS**
| Cut to Paul Heyman.
Heyman: “He is, without question, the most death defying athlete in the history of professional wrestling. A homicidal, genocidal, suicidal human machine of destruction with no fears and no peers. He is the most unique sports entertainer to grace the squared circle, not just here in ECW, but anywhere on the face of planet Earth. He truly epitomizes the word Extreme and his name… is SABU!” |
We are back and Tajiri is sent to the ropes – Handspring Back Elbow from Tajiri! Doc is on his knees and TAJIRI KICKS HIM IN THE HEAD! HE DOES IT AGAIN! Tajiri hits the ropes – LOOK OUT - DOC POPS UP AND INTERCEPTS WITH A HUGE LARIAT! Doc picks Tajiri up and drives his knees into Tajiri’s gut. Doc follows up with a standing clothesline and it’s looking like the end is drawing near for the rookie. Doc lifts up Tajiri – Doctor Bomb… NO! Tajiri slips out and leaps to the second turnbuckle. He kicks Doc and pulls him in – TORNADO DDT – NO! Doc blocks it and looks for a Northern Lights Suplex – NO! Tajiri kicks out his legs and lands back on his feet. He begins to tie himself around the thick body of Dr. Death – OCTOPUS HOLD! Tajiri has locked on the famed Octopus and there’s no way to break the hold. Doc looks to be fading. He makes one last ditch effort and begins to punch with his free hand. Who will break first, Doc or Tajiri? Doc keeps on punching, but Tajiri doesn’t look to be letting up anytime soon. Doc lands a punch to Tajiri’s jaw and this has him in trouble. One more punch to the jaw forces Tajiri to release the hold. Without any hesitation, Doc lunges and tackles Tajiri. He hooks the legs; One – Two - Tajiri kicks out in time. Doc quickly lifts him up – DOCTOR BOMB! There’s nowhere for Tajiri to go, as he is dumped into the canvas. Doc with the lateral press; ONE! TWO! THREE! Winner: Steve Williams (Pinfall > Doctor Bomb | 5:03 Shown) Doc helps Tajiri back to his feet and he shakes his hand… IT’S THE ELIMINATORS! They shove Doc to the floor and before he can even react, they drop Tajiri with Total Elimination. Saturn picks up the mic. Saturn: “Gangsters – Bruise Brothers - after you’re done playing with trash, we’ll be waiting because we would love nothing more than to humiliate you once more. There’s no one who’s better than us…” The fans chant “Doctor Death” over and over, as Williams helps up Tajiri. Kronus spots Steve Williams on the floor and he informs his partner of his presence. Saturn is pleased to see such a man like Dr. Death watch the greatest tag team in the world compete. Doc doesn’t seem to be paying attention, as he goes on ignoring the champs Saturn goes on – he bets that, even in their prime, Doc and Gordy couldn’t beat the Eliminators. Doc doesn’t like what he’s hearing, so Saturn goats him even more by daring Doc to get into the ring. He even holds down the ropes for him. Williams says something to Tajiri and after a moment, they storm the ring! The fight is on, as Doc pairs off with Saturn, while Kronus and Tajiri trade blows. Tajiri catches Kronus with a kick to the mid-section and he now follows up with a kick to the head. Kronus rolls to the floor and Saturn soon follows. Saturn demands to be handed the mic. Saturn: “Referee – the belts are on the line, only in a traditional tag team match. Send one of them to their corner, now.” 4) ECW World Tag Team Titles The Eliminators vs. Dr. Death Steve Williams & Yoshirio Tajiri: Bob Artese makes the announcement and the titles are now on the line. They trade punches – Saturn – Doc – Saturn – Doc- Saturn with a kick down low and it takes Doc down to his knees. Doc sweeps the legs and now he begins to choke Saturn! The ref breaks it up and now back to a vertical base. Saturn moves in with a side headlock, Doc counters with a hammerlock, Saturn back to the side headlock and now a takeover. The ref drops down, but Doc gets back up before a count can even be made. Doc takes down Saturn and he begins to work over the leg. Saturn grabs the bottom rope to break Doc’s momentum. Doc hammers Saturn as he gets back to his feet. He is sent in and Doc comes in with a lariat. SATURN STILL STANDS! HE WANTS MORE – DOC THROWS ANOTHER LARIAT AND SATURN IS STILL UP – DOC WITH A RUNNING START – HUGE LARIAT AND THIS KNOCKS SATURN DOWN FINALLY! Doc hooks the legs; One – Two - Saturn kicks out! D-Von Dudley joins Joey Styles. Joey asks D-Von, why is he so abusive to his brothers. D-Von claims that he is trying to help his brothers. Joey disagrees; how can bashing a chair into their skulls help them. D-Von: “So you want me to be more like Big Dick? He’s the one with a problem. And I plan to fix him…” Joey sarcastically asks him if he could do it. D-Von: “Of course I can. He thinks he can sweep everything under a rug and it will all be alright, just like Magic Johnson. Magic Johnson sinned against his family and paid the ultimate price. Now everyone loves Magic. Michael Jordon cries when he wins a title on Father’s Day. What about all those fathers whose kids make his shoes in Honduras? And Madonoa’s feeling the family way… Joey, don’t be shocked when the baby pops out and looks something like me. Because like a virgin, I am pure and innocent, and Big Dick, I will inflict my righteous ways on thee…” The camera does a close up on D-Von. “Misirlou” by Dick Dale begins to play. ** Back in a dark room sits Raven, looking miserable as always. Raven:: “I am the rightful champion, yet I have no title to show for it. I’m supposed to be having the time of my life, yet I’m stuck in a reoccurring nightmare. Sandman will go down on the third, much like he’s done for most of his life, but this time, I will not be walking out without my title belt. I am the champion, not that drunk. I will lead the masses to nirvana, not that Wifebeater. I will end Sandman’s life, so you all shall have a better one. I am doing this for all of you. Quote the Raven, Nevermore.” ** We now find the Gangstas hanging outside the arena. New Jack: “Mustafa, they really think they gonna stop us… The Public Enemy though that they could stop us, now they’re down in the WCW losing to those Uncle Tom Loving {BEEP}. Jimmy Cornette thought that he could get rid of us by holding our pay – we’ll that did work because we left that cracka ass promotion and came here. Hey Cornette, we still need to be paid…” ** Taz is staring intently at a Sabu shirt taped to a wall while stepping on and off a bench. Bill Alfonso speaks, as he can attest to Taz’s insane workout regimen. Alfonso tried to talk Taz into taking a break and getting a massage. He said no, so Alfonso left him behind and went to get the massage. When he came back several hours later, Taz was still training! Taz: “I want a man who’s afraid to face me in a match that they’re afraid to book. There’s no one that can stop me. NO ONE!” **Cut back to Raven. Raven: “Sandman, if your capacity for intellectual pursuits was half as great as your ability to chug down beer after beer, then you’d understand the great irony of the man I am about to quote. ‘Rules and responsibilities, these are the ties that bind us. We do what we do because of who we are. If we did otherwise, we would not be ourselves. I will do what I have to do and I’ll do what I must.’” ** Cut to Shane Douglas standing in front of the ECW Banner Douglas: “IT’S MY BELT! IT’S MY BELT! IT’S MY BELT! IT’S MY BELT!” ** Cut to the Eliminators, as they sit in the locker room. Saturn has stitches placed on his head. Saturn: “Doc, you are a legend in Japan, that is you territory. Over in America, that is our territory. We call the shots here – if we see you on our home turf again, then you’re a dead man.” ** Cut back to the Franchise. Douglas: “I know the great irony that is my desires to get back the belt I had no respect for. But you see, only I can raise the prestige of that belt. Only I can make that belt the only thing people talk about when the think of ECW. It is MY destiny. It is what I must do – IT’S MY BELT!” ** Cut back to the Gangstas. New Jack: “Everyone else are pretenders, we are the originators. We know true violence. Violence to them is slamming a chair against someone’s skull, whereas violence to us is tying someone’s arm to my car, tying their legs to Mustafa’s car and driving in opposite directions. THAT’S VIOLENCE! The Eliminators – the Bruise Brothers – Steve Corino - you better be ready, because the Gangstas are just starting.” Mustafa: “Be ready fools, we coming…” Mustafa chuckles, as New Jack throws up the X. ** Cut to the Sandman and Missy Hyatt. Missy holds the ECW World Heavyweight title. Sandman: “On August 3rd, get ready to see the Sandman’s revenge!” ** In the streets of Philly, Raven walks with a band of people following him. Raven: “These people represent all that is The Sandman. They’re drunk. They’re wasted. They’re leeches off of my success. These people follow me because they think that I am hip, trendy, edgy. They think of me as a character they want to be, but none can achieve what I’ve done, because none of them have felt the pains I’ve felt. Much like The Sandman, they must leech off of everything that is Raven. They want to become Raven. If The Sandman wants to become me, I’ll beat him like my dad used to do. August 3rd will be Sandman’s last call. Quote the Raven nevermore.” Copyright 1996 ECW
