I genuinely think it should be him vs Cena @ this WM or definitely the next. then?he retires. I have NO interest in Lesnar vs Taker. had Lesnar been booked to destroy Show properly? yeah.but they decided to protect the disposable Show.....and now Lesnar looks like a pissant coward who needs a chair to defeat the guy Orton beat at Survivor Series. He is clearly no threat to Taker. Unless they have him rip Show a new one again. YAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Yeah. Taker vs. Cena is really the biggest match they could have for him at this point.

the funny thing is... everything in this thread is absolutely true. he probably would be retired, he almost certainly wouldn't be viewed in the same light/class as he is... and yet, at 40whatever years old he is, hes been involved in the best match at wrestlemania every year since/including the year he fought batista. batista, edge, michaels x 2, hhh x 2 and punk. ill include 21 vs orton too, which is the only match amongst them that had any doubt about it... but you had that dreadful wm22 match vs henry, so i didnt put it in the list. you may have a preference at a specific show, for a specific match... but year in, year out... he delivers. you may have liked cena/michaels at 23 better than the batista match, you may have liked hbk/flair better at 24... nothing was better at 25... you may have liked mysterio/punk at 26 better, and so on and so forth down the line... but you cannot deny that undertaker delivers every wrestlemania throughout that grouping. and this is a guy, who was downright awful [in the ring] for his first 10-12 years in the wwe. he was an awful worker as the deadman that no sold everything, and he was fat and out of shape as the satanic taker and biker taker. He also had the best match on the WM12 card by FAR. There were two matches on that card better than 'Taker/Diesel.

I don't think Taker's going to be around for much longer anyway. Cena should end the streak and it should be this year.
Here's the thing with 'Taker, the streak didn't matter for most of his career. It's just something that came about through happenstance. The streak has certainly mattered for the last five years or so, but I don't think it would effect his career if the streak would have never happened.

I think Taker will wrestle four more matches to reach 25-0. 22-0 against Lesnar 23-0 against Sting 24-0 against Rock 25-0 against Cena

Iron Man match?zzzzzzzzzzzzzz ruined by the fragile ego of both men. back lot brawl-a convoluted mess(enjoyable but still) 6 Man opener......less said the better Warrior vs HHH......non match.

I see him retiring in Texas at WM 32, 25 years after his Mania debut, maybe putting over Daniel Bryan.

Although I agree, what's wrong with the 6 man tag? I always liked it. I can only imagine how bad Yoko/Vader would have been in a singles match considering Yoko's enormous size.

Ah ok. I always liked Jake though, his attires in 96 were delightful, even his fat jacket lol. But Ahmed always sucked and Yoko at his fattest was pretty much worthless. WM12 is such a weird PPV for me. It's literally the only time I think Bret had the worst match on the card, and against Shawn Michaels no less. Whereas I enjoyed the undercard (except Austin/Savio was a little boring). If Shawn/Bret had gone for 25-30 minutes in a normal match and allowed for more matches on the undercard then the whole event would have been better.

The Iron Man stip hurt the hell out of this.if we had had the same finish at a 30 minute time limit after a belter of a match? this match would be fondly remembered in an insane way.

Am I the only one who wants Taker to somehow make it to 30-0?
22-0 Vs Lesnar 23-0 Vs Sting 24-0 Vs Austin 25-0 Vs Angle 26-0 Vs Bryan 27-0 Vs Rock 28-0 Vs Ambrose, Rollins or Reigns 29-0 Vs Bray Wyatt 30-0 Vs Cena
That does kinda seem like a big mission to pull off lol but if this plan were to end up being successful then It'd be worth it IMO. Taker would be around 58 by the time he gets to 30-0 and would retire at roughly around the same age as Flair did. Imagine how HUGE his sendoff would be? Taker would go down as a once in a lifetime performer and those matches would certainly make the Streak an even bigger deal then it already is.
