So how'd that whole E-Fed "Hot or Not" thing go? Guy said he was working on the review. We shall see.

Then Beyonce is a fair assessment. Perhaps if we compliment Trace, he'll do some favors to get us tickets to the Jay-Z show Truuuuuuue! Throw in some backstage passes and I'll be happy. Fully catered sky box with an open bar added in just because.

I'll have you know my ass is in the best shape of it's life. Does that mean you got your brown belt? You're late to the party, I had that awarded seven years back by the daughter of my catholic school teacher. Who doesn't love the old fashioned catholic loophole?

It just dawned on me that I didn't write an "introductory" piece for Daniel Kirkbride the way I did for David Brennan. I took care of that hurdle when I first started writing the character, but it just sort of organically became something that could serve as an introductory piece/first match rp. I'm trying something vastly new (for me) with this new character in that I want each piece to kind of flow together from one to the next, so that back to back it's this big fluid story, the gaps in time attributing to the shows themselves.
I'm hoping this will help me overcome a hurdle that I've struggled with since the days of Jason Vieira, even when I was writing hot with Brennan. Drakz told me waaaaaay back when that I sometimes put too much effort in creating unique settings - a bar, a church, backstage, etc. I'm hoping that by melding the rps into this fluid story I can overcome that even more.
Writing is fun.

I wish I could be as cool as Dee Dee Ramone. that is all. You want to be replaced by CJ? nah, Dee Dee is just a boss. I would've used a word after "boss" but this is a family friendly message board and I already have a 50% warning bar and the word I wanted to use carries a certain negative implication even when quoting 70s grindhouse.

In just messing. I f*ckin' love The Ramones, and Dee Dee wrote at least two of my favorites by them. Last year I won tickets through Andrew WK's Twitter to see Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg (fronted by AWK), which was awesome.
Now I'm all worked up. This thread needs more punk rock discussion.

www.imdb.com/title/tt0370694/I watched this last night. It was awesome. Worth finding. I've been on a Madball kick lately. Had Social Distortion blaring through the back room at work yesterday and the teenage kids kept passing by and whining except the one atypical outcast. Portly, glasses, weird unkempt hair. He was rocking it. He's my favorite now.

It's funny, 'cause when it comes to hardcore, I love NYC style, but I never could get much into Madball. On that note, for all the big rivalry between Boston and NYC, all the best hardcore groups out of Boston are biting the AF style (Blood for Blood, Death Before Dishonor, etc).
There's always gonna be that love for the Ramones for me, but when it's all said and done, it always always always comes down to Joe Strummer and the Clash for me. I got into punk in this really weird backward way, on account of my age and time and place and all that, but I'll never forget the first time I heard Tommy Gun. Right from the get go, you know you're in for something special. It's up there with the first chord of the Spector version of Rock n Roll High School with the all time great first few seconds of a song that is about to knock your damn teeth in.
Love Social D too, but I can't get past the stories of Ness still just reciting "Live at the Roxy" in 2014, right down to the stage banter. The guy has kind of become a parody of himself.

We need more formal tag teams. Or a tag team section for the roster board to shut me up.
