I've done it the old fashion way with a butter knife cracking the torso open under the arm pit, but it allways seems to damage the torso slightly. Just wondering if anyone else has some tips that might help for a clean split? They seem ALOT harder to crack open than they used to be.

when you get a clean split, boil the torso to get get the stress marks away. boiling also loosens up the torso as well.
