*looks at his poor wallet weeping in the corner* Seriously though, that's great news... all we need now is for them to announce Hogan, Flair and Sting at Toy Fair, and I'll be like a giddy One Direction fan...

Good news, I guess. I really didn't want to have to start a new collection from the ground up.

Excellent, so it means I won't have to restart another collection again for at least 5-6 more years...

Mattel signs new five-year deal to produce WWE toys Via Variety | on.variety.com/1bQmR4JEL SEGUNDO, Calif. & STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ:MAT) and WWE (NYSE:WWE) today announced a multi-year extension of their global master toy licensing agreement through 2019. Good news. Figures and video games accounting for 18 percent of WWE revenue. WOW that is amazing. What I find so strange however is when I read Mattel's Quarterly reports on profits they never mention the WWE brand, only Barbie, Monster HIgh, Hot Wheels etc. yet the WWE line is the best selling line of figures? Toy sites begrudgingly cover Mattels WWE line. Matty Collector never cared about the WWE line. Mattel shop stopped getting new product months ago. WWE shop used to have tons of figs. Now they don't. Mattel pretends the WWE line doesn't exist @ Toy Fair. SDCC is the only time they let them shine. i think its because wrestling isn't widely accepted among the TMNT, GI Joe, Marvel, He-Man, DC collecting crowd. They look down on us

Fantastic news! I mean, it's not surprising given how much WWE promotes Mattel stuff on-air and on their website, but it's still nice to know for sure. Job well done, guys.
In the next few years, we're going to get Hogan and Ric Flair, possibly Sting, and who knows what other surprises they'll throw at us. Here's to another awesome 5 years!
