To all of my memory/recognition/knowledge CM Punk NEVER wore that attire. Or if he did, it was probably like once. I don't really understand how that happened. ARGHHHH! I was hoping u would clarify, and tell everyone...."Punk wore this @ such and such event"

I'm so excited that RSC is offering SmackDown Ring Skirts for the ASR, i'm likely gonna buy it from them. They initially offered them for the ESR but we all know where that went...

im pretty down on the punk excl ur not alone. I had been planning all week to pre-order this (assuming it was going up during Toy Fair). Hours later and i still haven't pulled the trigger. i'll sleep on it. honestly....i think SES Punk, Removeable Mask Kane, NWO Macho and Macho King are way better than the last couple of exclusives. To all of my memory/recognition/knowledge CM Punk NEVER wore that attire. Or if he did, it was probably like once. I don't really understand how that happened. He wore it that time he teamed with All Star Randy Savage and Orange Booted Eddie Guerrero don't forget elite 20 CM Punk. Who suspiciously used the same color palette as the Santino from the same wave

Awesome pre orders gonna def get Punk when I get my tax check. The rest I will wait. I would pre order him now but I just had the best day figure hunting today in a long time found marvel legends Carnage and elite 26 Swagger!
BTW I know Punk has never worn that exact attire this looks like it was for his yellow one but red got the clear to go. But it still looks awesome so I'm fine with it.

Dang! I'm already tempted to buy the ring even though I already have the ESR... If they are going to be making HIAC, Chamber, Steel Cage etc. I will be getting it for sure!

OK I just looked through like 50 matches with Punk wearing red trunks every one of them has the black stars on the back someone ed this up. or did they purposely give us a "fantasy" attire, instead of doing the yellow/red vote?

Looks to me they had this design down..just the color wasn't decided. And they went with red..I wanted the yellow personally. I'm a huge Punk fan also and I don't ever recall him wearing that attire with the Punk letters on the back. Unless he wore it in like OVW or something.

I personally like the "fantasy attire" idea. It gives us the best of both worlds (yellow and red) and also gives it more detail than any of those other attires would've had.
On that note I think it's a great figure representation of that time period (besides the god damn leg sleeves that probably could've been changed in time) but I just hate this era punk. Again I'll likely buy it just for the belt. Plastic T with sleeves is also a big turn off.

wow he never even wore the attire?
so many things bother me about it. rsc exclusives really should be *real* flashbacks. 2009, 2008 whatever is not a flashback. this figure is so close to 2010 elite 1 punk.
if they wanted to give us an ecw belt and mic there had to be better ways to do it.
but since this is what we get, at least give us a real attire.... .....also maybe an attire that isnt red & black

Isn't the ringside exclusive Brocks shirt a merge of two of his shirts?

Punk wore his debut attire for a little while, and that was the yellow trunks with black stripes down the sides and those PUNK block letters on the back. no stars. plain black kickpads
then he changed to stars, the Punk letters were gone and he mixed up the kickpad colors.
fantasy attires are fine for $9.99 basics....or if they want to achieve a certain look but can't due to copywrights (Punk's G.I. Joe themed attire) but when i'm paying over $30 for a figure I want it to be as accurate as possible. its taken a LOT for me to forgive that awful rubber shirt. i just don't know why they would give him what amounts to a fake attire

Taken from the Ringside Collectibles Exclusive Description which will presumably be on the back of the box:
Growing up idolizing WWE Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, CM Punk had no doubt that his future belonged inside the ring. He began his quest in the independent ranks, where he earned a reputation as a master technician, before joining ECE in 2006. At that year's Survivor Series, he demonstrated his lethal assimilation of fighting styles and emerged from Team DX as a fast-rising star. In 2007, Punk made good on that promise, winning the ECW Championship. After winning the Money in the Bank Match at WrestleMania 24, he went on to cash in his World title opportunity and captured the World Heavyweight Championship. Constantly thrilling his loyal followers and wiping his opponents out with his signature "Go To Sleep" manuever, he has certainly backed up his claim that he's the "Best in the World."
PLEASE PLEASE Ringside tell us that this is a mistype/error on your website and not on the back of the box!!!
PLEASE PLEASE don't tell us that someone at Mattel wrote ECE and someone at Mattel approved it without noticing this very blatantly bad error!!!
Also the wrestlingfigs reply box is telling me that maneuver is spelled wrong too, but the ECE thing is terrible if this is a Mattel mistake!!!
ECW is written several times throughout the packaging and it's, OH YEAH, on the championship belt that is exclusive to this figure!!!

Ehh I know it sucks cause you're a Punk complete-ist, Chip, but honestly, I'm just happy it was red instead of yellow. I can look past the fact that they mixed up the attire design given that they gave us a new color for an Elite. So, yeah, in the grand scheme of things it's incorrect, but unless you pose it like he's pretending to be Dolph Ziggler, you'll never know the attire is wrong when it's standing on a shelf.

Punk should have been yellow imo, period. That's neither here nor there at this point. I do like the scan, a lot, but I know plenty of people don't from what I gather. I think the title and the mic are both great. It's a good exclusive imo but I feel like my collection already has way too many black and red attired figures in it. Maybe that's just me. I'm excited for Bray Wyatt but I'll wait. I haven't had any trouble finding anything in awhile so there's no need for me to spend the extra money pre ordering. I am hoping we see the figure on Sunday though. Same goes for Crush, but I'd be far more excited for Evil Crush.

Well, at least it's something on the back and can be hidden. At least Mattel didn't F'd up on the colors like E20 CM Punk.
I wonder if RSC gets a chance to approve the figure before it goes into final production?
I just wished they would ask for our input on attires like if they chose the red, they can show us digital drawings of what it's supposed to look like and we can correct the mistakes. We pay a lot of attention to the details, more so than the staff at Mattel, oh well.
