Jord!!! now all I need is a T-Mac and Ricky appearance and I'll feel like I'm 17 again.
And there should be a board-wide sim to get people involved. They usually fizzle out pretty quickly but they're fun while they last. I'd prefer to see something like the WWE done since there have been alot of alternate universe/NWA territory style diaries and they all usually last about two weeks before people are over it. I actually had an idea a while like a "WWE Network" style diary where there'd be a schedule of shows whether that be Raw, SD, NXT, PPV's, old school ppv rebookings, novelty ideas or whatever wrapped into one diary but don't know if that'd work.

3/7 RAW is up, go post it, reply to it and view it, The Road to WrestleMania is almost winding down, but what happened on RAW just thirteen days before WrestleMania X, a huge tag team main event match and a one-on-one match between former tag team partners.

I'll be done with uni in early May so I'll definitely be up for doing a board-wide diary, or something along those lines, then!

I'm always hesitant over multi-persons sims. They never work. I've even worked with guys I know are reliable and it's all gone to poop. Hell, I've even let people down myself and I like to think I'm Mr. Reliable. It's just with your own diary you can go at your own speed: if you busy you don't post for two weeks, if you get loads of free time you might post every few days. But if your doing a split you've got someone else's schedule to fit into. And the more people you add the more complicated it gets. Then it gets to a point where one person makes a timetable and everyone has to fit in with in. But surely we'll all just doing this for fun, we shouldn't have to feel like we're doing work by getting in work by a certain time.
But I'm going to contradict everything I just said and say I'd love to see a board-wide diary. Personally I don't think I'd want to be part of it. Cos if I do it would limit my work on SNW. It's happened before and I don't want to damage that at the moment. I'd certainly be up for reading/replying/judging though. So yeah, you have my permission.
Oh, and...

I'm just 99% sure it wouldn't work. You only have to look at the last one to see that. And that was when people were a lot more active around here. It's one of those things that's exciting when you're not doing it, but when it comes down to it, you realise that it's not that great once you're behind the wheel.

The big split failed because a couple of people didn't want to adhere to the whole concept of the diary, which was to book around targets/objectives/budgets/restrictions, etc. I believe we tried to release a couple of Superstars and things kicked off from that. The whole premise of the diary was to replicate the WWE corporate hierarchy.
Without tooting my own horn the idea is a fantastic one and would be amazing for this board right now. But it needs to be run by the correct guys to ensure it lasts and achieves it's maximum potential.

If you know you're busy or can't contribute as much as others, you take a smaller role in the company.

I don't think there's the capacity on board right now to run such a thing. Not to mention, there's not a lot of people who even care for WWE's product much atm. I'd be down if it had a team of people who were 100% into it, but like RD said about not wanting to take any time away from SNW, I think a lot of others would feel the same way about their current diaries.

The likelihood that it will fail shouldn't be a deterrent, as the saying goes I'd rather try something and fail than do nothing and succeed. If it fails, it fails and everyone goes back to the status quo.
That's why I'd like something like the hierarchy where there are minor roles and the roles are interchangeable. If it brings a month worth of excitement then it was worth it and if it falls on its face then it's not like the board is going to get any deader and we wait for the next idea.

Then someone just needs to take the initiative and get something going. Like I said it's definitely something exciting that I'd like to see and be a part of. A bunch of experienced writers, some nice layouts, a long term plan, the potential is there. As you say, it wouldn't exactly harm anything if it was to fail.

I'd love to see someone get it started. I wouldn't take a huge role but something in the middle when it comes to work. In the hierarchy idea.

I wouldn't even know where to begin when it came to handing out roles to people, but I'd be down for a role within the system. It just needs a person willing to head it. Chaz is probably the best bet since he did it the first time around.

WrestleMania time does seem like the ideal starting point.

Well it's had a positive response. And we haven't done a community project since Alternate Universe that I recall, and that was over four years ago. It would definitely be cool to have a collective diary that was a success. And with the names already put forward as interested, I don't see why it wouldn't be.
Kev, it was you who brought all this back up, you start it xD

Put me on the spot huh? I'm not sure how it works. Like, I'm looking at the last hierarchy one and I'm not sure what each department would do. Chaz was the Chairman, DTP was Head of Creative Development and Jord was Head of Talent Relations. Then you had Head Bookers and the Booking Team. I forgot how each piece works. I mean, I would even take two spots if needed. Like Head of one Department and be a booker.
