I don't really know how I would feel about that.....but quite frankly anything is preferable to Orton vs Batista.

Orton vs Batista vs Punk Bryan gets put in the match by beating Orton, Batista and Punk in 3 different matches. Triple H announces the fatal four way will take place but there will be a special guest referee. Punk and Bryan obviously don't like it. Orton is iffy about it and Batista is all smiles. Orton says The Authority has made him the face of the WWE and he hopes with Triple H being the ref it will stay that way. Hunter says the best man will win. Randy gets paranoid that HHH is going to help Batista win and take away his status as the face of the WWE. It's match time. The first person eliminated is Randy Orton. After being pinned he gets in Triple H's face and says he didn't even bother to stop him from being eliminated. HHH tries to calm Randy down and tells him to go to the back. Punk is eliminated next after a fast count. He tries to attack HHH but Batista stops him. Kane comes down and gets Punk and takes him to the back. Now it's just Batista and Bryan. They do close pin spots. Bryan locks in the YES lock, Batista is about to tap out but HHH grabs Batista's foot and drags him to the ropes. Bryan gets in HHH's face. HHH grabs him and turns him around, Batista grabs him and hits a spinebuster. Batista picks up Bryan for the Batista Bomb and during that time Orton has run down to the ring unbeknownst to HHH and Batista. He gets in the ring, swings HHH around and hits an RKO. Batista hits the Batista Bomb unaware of what happened. He gets up and finds Orton standing in the ring with HHH laid out. The two get in each other's face and yell. Charles Robinson, a paramedic and the ringside doctor check on HHH. Cole says something is happening backstage and it cuts to Kane laid out. It cuts back to the ring and the crowd pops as they see Punk run down to the ring. Punk kicks Batista in the back of the head and he falls to his knees. Bryan has gotten up and is in the corner starting to YES. He's waiting for Batista to stand up and when he does Bryan hits the knee. Bryan covers Batista. Punk gets Robinson's attention and he slides in the ring and counts the 3. I like it. A rare example of interference not making the winner look weak but rather evening the odds, like Rock & Austin vs. HHH at Backlash 2000.

I'm still a fan of Punk. But I don't make excuses for him leaving either. I feel that his major accomplishments, such as his title reign and pipebombs, will be tarnished by him leaving the way he did unless he comes back soon. If he were to come back he can salvage it all if he does 1 of 2 things. Either he helps Bryan in his war with the Authority in a way that ends in Bryan getting the title or he straight up puts Bryan over . Either of those things would pretty much erase the last month or so in the eyes of his fans. Then he can leave when his contract is up and ride off into the sunset with head held high and legacy in tact.

all of this is extreme wishful thinking. i'm one of the biggest punk guys on here, but this all just isn't going anywhere good for him, especially regarding the wrestlemania card.

I am not going to lie, if he gets added to the title Match at Mania, I will be super pissed that a guy cried, pouted, and quit to get his way. In all honesty, the match against HHH would have done wonders promo wise

I don't dislike Punk, but I'm not exactly a fan either... as I said in the other thread - I wouldn't have had a problem with Punk being in the main-event this year before his walk-out, but it just seems a bit "off" if he's put in the main-event now, because of his actions. People complain about the likes of Brock and Batista getting preferential treatment - but this would be just as bad... if not, worse.

Still not defending the dude but Punk would not be as big as he is today is not for his attitude and the way he does business. No Summer of Punk or 434 days if he doesn't stick up for himself and what he thinks he's worth to the company. They are treating Punk a lot like Bret Hart.

I'd rather see Punk in the match. Over or not, D-Bry has a match on the card whereas Punk doesn't.
I also think that Punk is generally better than D-Bry and deserves the spot more.

The thing is if he comes back and gets added to the main event it just defeats the whole purpose of young guys getting pushed aside for part timers. Like it or not he acted like a major bitch and walked out on the company and fans and threw a wrench into the plans they had. Now wants to come back and get added to the main event? Sorry but thats just a pure crybaby move. I love Punk but definitely not the way to do business. You dont see that from guys like Cena, Jericho, Orton, etc....
