The Steelers have a LOT of questions to answer this offseason. The brought in the kid from Detroit to help out Allen and Taylor, but with the good chance that Taylor may retire in a season or two...they need to draft for the future there. But that can wait for one more season. We NEED to draft a safety this season. No ifs, ands or buts. Polamalu is in the last year of his contract, and Ryan Clark is probably not coming back. Golden is not a terrible S, so just get a back up for him, but they need SOMEONE to train under Troy. There will never be another, but the need someone for him to teach so Lebeau is not stuck with some schlub when Polamalu leaves/retires next year. There was going to be need for a MLB this off season, between Footes age and the fact he had a season ending injury first week last year. But Jesus did Williams step up in an amazing way. He has earned the right to compete with Larry for the starting spot this season, and then worry about that position next year when Foote retires. I will cry a little inside if K to the D Kiesel does not come back, but I understand why they would not want to. They have a solid line in Hayward, Hood, McLendon and Fanguapo. Just pull in a few backups and you have your line for a few years. We NNED a Wide Reciever. Like...BAD. Not Safety bad, but it is a necessity. Brown proved himself a legitimate starting WR. But...then what? Sanders might be leaving, and his hands cost us a couple of games last year. Cotchery is old as sh*t (albeit still productive). Burress is probably not going to be healthy at the start of the season. I have a hard on for Moye, home town boy from Plum, this 6'6 fast mother er on this team but he is a TERRIBLE route runner. And then there is Gilreth who should have made the team the last two years and will probably get his shot this year. But no TRUE number two to help out Brown. Unless Sanders resigns and gets his sh*t together, I cannot see any of the above being a number two barring injury. So...yeah. We need a good guy to get locked down with Brown. The offensive line looks good. Injury plagued...but it is hard to do much about that. Something needs to be done about Pounceys knee though. Tight Ends are solid. Miller, Spaeth and Paulson are great, meh and shown signs of really good respectably. This is the first time I am not worried about RBs. Bell could be great, Jones came through well, Dwyer is good, Howling is great in short yardage but nor much else...but it is a solid core. QBs...this draft kind of depends on how confident they are on Jones in the future. Ben is getting old. Brucie G is a reliable backup. But we need to know if Jones is truly the heir apparent to Roethlisberger, or if we need to seriously start thinking about investing in his replacement for a few years down the road so that if he gets hurt again...bad, we are not stuck putting the team in the hands of a guy like Charlie Batch a couple of years ago long term who was a fabulous backup, but when he had to play a long stretch of games he fell apart. Gradkowski has started elsewhere and almost took the Raiders to the playoffs a while back but...if Ben pulls a Tommy Gunn, we need someone there to answer the call. I do not think Jones is that guy. Just...interesting. Plus with the rumors that Lebeau is going to be retiring after this season, I am curious to see how much input they give his heir apparent Joey Porter in drafting, since we have two MAJOR spots we have to draft on D. Should be fun.

I think it's safe to say I'm probably the only Alex Smith fan on this forum. As in someone who since getting into football, has gone out of his way to watch any avaliable game, purchase a jersey, and know rather pointless facts about. We are all fans in that way about a team, or player, or franchise in general.
All of that being said, I am against giving Mr. Smith a contract until next offseason. I don't think Alex is the kind of guy who will take a season off once he gets paid, especially since he was drafted No.1 prior to the new CBA and already has bucks. However, I do worry about the statistics of QBs in recent years after getting their big contract.
Looking at you Sanchez, Schaub, Vick, Fitz, and Flacco.
I would agree however with letting Albert go if he is still unable to stay completely healthly. I say keep Schwarts in where Fisher was playing (since he did a fairly good job when Fisher was out) and move Fisher back to his natural spot on the other side.

It's just too bad he plays for a rival team. I will say this about the Chiefs fans though. They are some of the best fans I personally know. My GFs godfather is a huge chiefs fan and he just cracks me up. He went to a game with her dad and wore his Chiefs jersey to Qualcomm but had a Chargers jersey underneath when they ended up losing. Too funny.

I think the AFC West might be the only division were we have fans representing each team, if so.

Heavily against. Playoffs are perfect now. Against more reg season games too. If anything take off two preseason games and add a second bye week.

Yeah, as much as I would like more football, I'm not really in favor of expanding the playoffs. While it is unfortunate that teams playing at a high level occasionally get left out, it makes the league that much more competitive and each win that much more important. It's part of the reason NFL playoffs are so exciting - it's not easy to get there.

Sports JeopardyContestant- "Ill take sports quotes for $1000" Alex Trebek- "The never ending journey" Contestant- "What is the Quest for Six?" 49ers should have beat the Hawks, oh wait they had the hawks beat but Kap just needed to throw it in the endzone with plenty of time left just to be a hero. He should have dumped off to his back who could have gotten some yards and out of bounds. Then throw the td pass the next play. I think that Kap knows he messed up, big time. Hopefully this will make him more determined than ever. 49ers need a corner, a safety, tight end, and more depth on the dline for the draft. Either way, I truly believe the quest for six will be reached this season. Go Niners.

Patriots should trade there first round pick for Larry Fitzgerald and then sign Eric Decker. With those moves there projected recievers would be Fitzgerald, Decker, Amendola, Dobson, Thompkins, and Gronk, plus a rookie tight end. They would be unbeatable in the regular reason with those recievers.

Either way, I truly believe the quest for six will be reached this season. Go Niners. I fully believe we were the best team in the NFL last year but obviously, the best team doesnt always win. I cant blame that game all on Kap though. People have to remember that our defense that we hail as one of if not the best in the league, still coughed up 20 points in the 2nd half. Between Kap not being clutch, the defense turning into a revolving door and the fat corpse of Greg Roman being an ignorant play caller....we screwed the pooch. 49ers two main needs are Corner & WR. Crabs & Boldin are a great 1-2 punch and there's hope for Patton but they still need that big guy type of WR. Corner is obvious as I think Terrell Brown is as good as gone. Cully & Brock will be decent at CB with Wright taking the nickel position but we'll have to have depth with Brown & Rogers both likely gone. I think we're alright at safety with Reid solidly locking up his position and I expect Whitner to resign (cheaper option then resigning Brown. One of the two will stay). Not quite sure why you think we need a Tight End though. With Vernon & McDonald we pretty much have what we need. McDonald isnt as versatile as Walker was but we use him more for blocking situations. The D-Line will get a boost with Tank Carradine & Ian Willams coming back from injury. Id still draft for depth though. I expect our first 3 rounds to go like this... 1st Round (30th)- Cornerback 2nd Round (56th)- Defensive End 2nd Round (61st)- Wide Reciever 3rd Round (77th)- Offensive Line 3rd Round (94th)- Quarterback The biggest thing I want to see is just how good Lattimore is going to be. Could he actually come in and push Gore to the side? I cant wait.

Nivro™I'd love for the niners to trade up & snag my boy Darqueze Dennard (similar with Eric Reid last year) This kid was a 2 star WR Recruit from Georgia, had no SEC offers. Came to MSU with a huge chip on his shoulder, he's physical, can tackle, fast (ran 4.5) & can jam/press at the line like no other.

As a Ravens fan, I want the team to resign Pitta and take a stab at Eric Decker. I think the tandem of Torrey Smith/Pitta/Decker and our other young receivers in Marlon Brown, Deonte Thompson, and Aaron Mellette would give Flacco plenty of weapons to use his arm more effectively. If they can't get Decker, then the WR class in this year's draft is deep and hopefully Ozzie can pick a good one (he's been weak drafting receivers aside from Smith). Defensively, I'd love to bring back Daryl Smith for another couple years and continue to develop our young guys that we've got like Matt Elam and Jimmy Smith. I'd honestly like to draft an eventual replacement for Ray Rice after what he did, incredibly disappointed in him as he was my favorite player before the incident. Bernard Pierce wasn't really cutting it last year. Not sure where that Towson kid is projected who ran the really fast 40 time, but I'd be cool with it if they took a mid-late round flyer on him in the draft.
I think the Ravens have the players to get back to the playoffs if the running game can rebound and we can get a couple more weapons in the receiving game. Justin Tucker can't be the only player scoring points.
