Play Dark Souls. If you play online and are human at all times then you will see some hardcore trolling.

The most annoying trolling I've ever experienced was the infinite rockets hack in The Conduit. It would get so chaotic that the game would freeze and my Wii Remote would get stuck rumbling.

The best "trolling" I've done is being better than other people. It makes people right mad.

The best "trolling" I've done is being better than other people. It makes people right mad. Care to explain? I used to be really good at Super Street Fighter IV. It was the only fighter I really took the time to learn the mechanics of. I've been called names like cheater, loser, no-life, and my favorite was combo spammer. People get mad if they aren't winning all the time in those games. I guess proper trolling would be me responding to said messages with, "umad?" Demospam on Team Fortress 2 really gets to people too.

So I was always impressed by seeing videos of some of the more advanced gamers play.

I was good and I could definitely beat your normal Ken spammer (Who gave most of the hate mail) but if I came across someone who was really good I was likely to get wrecked. It was pretty much as soon as I saw an uncommonly picked character that I knew I was in trouble, haha.

If someone picks an obscure character that's outside of the popular 3-5, you're about to get rocked. That holds true for almost any fighting game.

Back in my teenage years I was quite the troll. A buddy and I used to make triple threat/fatal 4-way matches online in Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 and we'd each use one half of a CAW tag team. Except one of us (usually me) would rename the CAW to some other wrestler, Val Venis, for example, so that the other people had no idea what we were about to do. So you'd have my friend picking CAW Bubba Ray Dudley, the rando kid picking 99 overall "HELL DEMON" (boy were the maxed-out, lazy CAWs an epidemic in that game) and myself picking "Val Venis." The bell rings, and it turns out it's D-Von Dudley instead of Val Venis. The other guy immediately eats a 3-D and quits out of rage while we taunt him and my younger self laughs uncontrollably. It might sound dickish, but in my defense that game had an AWFUL online community. It seemed like nobody wanted to have fun and instead everybody used the same overpowered, tribal tattoo CAW and tried to win in 5 seconds in a ing unranked match. Elaborate trolling made that game at least 100 times more fun than it should have been.

I don't consider this trolling on my behalf, but I remember when The Last of Us was new last year, I was playing the snowbound map. There's a spot where players have to hurdle over this little waist-high wall, and there's a patch of grass right in the middle. It's a prime spot for a hidden nailbomb. I must have placed 4-5 bombs there, and this surefire prodigy hit it every single time. He cursed me out on his headset and sent me a nasty, grammatically embarrassing message on PSN. Dude had to have been of adult age acting like that.
In Metal Gear Online, this prick would knock me out in an untraveled part of the map, put porno mags by my unconscious body, and then he'd knock me out again when I awoke. It was funny as hell, albeit totally annoying. I'd rather deal with that than the losers who'd use the dead body glitch to invisibly kill. Though that did create a fun metagame where you had to locate their actual fallen body and pop 'em in the head to end their run with the glitch. They were too preoccupied with going after the gunfire, so you could sneak around, find their "dead" physical body, and just kill them where they lie.

The usual ninja defuse in COD, following people around.
The old school thing I did back in COD 4 was follow them and then message them 'behind you' and then kill them ;D

The only thing close to trolling I've done is on Red Dead Redemption. I'll get a bounty and wait for someone to try and claim it then call my Zebra Donkey and lead them on a chase pretty much across the entire map. After about ten minutes or so of them chasing me, I'll just jump in the water or blow myself up with Dynamite then message them that they were too slow. /thread

Those guys on GTA Online who pretend to be little kids, or female gamers - hilarious stuff.
I'll admit to griefing some clowns on GTA Online, but never with a tank.

I saw a video earlier of Spartan Jay doing a race on GTA Online but driving in the opposite direction just to crash into other racers, hilarious stuff.
