CM Punk is expected to return at tomorrow night's Raw in Chicago, Illinois, according to Dave Meltzer on today's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. While Meltzer won't say he's 100% sure Punk will be at the show, his source, who he says is "one of the biggest stars in the industry," said that it's 100% certain. Punk has been absent from WWE programming since the Raw following the Royal Rumble on Jan. 27. Meltzer reported Punk had legitimately left the event after telling Vince McMahon he was "going home." By the following Wednesday, the official WWE website stopped advertising Punk for future events. The matter was publicly acknowledged by McMahon on Feb. 20 during a quarterly conference call to investors, with the the CEO replying to a query concerning his status: "He's taking a sabbatical, let's just put it that way." I hope they add him to the main event. Hell, take Orton out of it, he's so bland. I honestly don't think anyone would care if they did take him out.
Batista vs. Punk would actually be a pretty good match.

I'm alright with him coming back, but get the title match at WrestleMania he should not get. Still better than Batista though.

I can see them repeating the HHH/HBK/Benoit storyline from 10 years ago. Have a contract signing for the WM main event. Out of nowhere Punk comes out and signs the contract making the main event a triple threat. They just wrote months of storylines now. Orton will want punk. Batista will want punk. HHH will want punk. And Bryan will want punk. It could be amazing.

I'd rather have Punk take on Triple H instead of being in the main event, I don't think they'd put the title on him and I have no interest in Orton retaining or a Batista reign.
