I knew Kyle Busch was going to finish second when he was a second behind the leader with 15 laps to go. That is a problem. You know what I think when Freddie Freeman is at-bat when the Braves are down be a single run in the bottom of the 9th? He's going to send one to the Chop House to tie the game. That is the attitude you're supposed to have in those moments of sports. NASCAR is missing that feeling. The feeling of "anything is possible" and "anything can happen" because.. it's just not logically going to happen. Its time for NASCAR to bring in "push to pass" Or paintballs, ala NASCAR '98 Maybe. Could also try improving the actual car instead of jacking around with the pit crews for - uh - "entertainment" purposes or something. --- I just want good racing man. *shrug*

Yawn. I’m just not feeling nascar much this year I knew Kyle Busch was going to finish second when he was a second behind the leader with 15 laps to go. That is a problem. The feeling of "anything is possible" and "anything can happen" because.. it's just not logically going to happen. Yeah I think that’s what it is. Once someone jumps out to that lead it’s over. That’s why I guess I enjoy the super speedway races the most.

Harvick needs to learn how to share. Heh heh. He's off to a great start this year.
Also, did I really see a man sticking his head in a cow's butt?
Yep, sure did. Never expected that in the NASCAR thread.

I'm not a huge fan of plate racing anymore [that tends to happen when your favorite driver gets put on the shelf because Daytona cared more about fancy seats than safety features] but I'm the same way with road courses. They bring on different strategy and have closer racing all day than just about anywhere (super speedways aside obviously). Seeing AJ and McDowell up there is the best. Wish we could get rid of a few of the second dates (Texas, Kansas, Pocono, Michigan) for a few road courses but the seclude is a monopoly so that won't happen.

Never expected that in the NASCAR thread.Always expect the unexpected in the NASCAR thread. Sometime it's a man with his head in a cow's butt. Others it's me and Nivro™ agreeing. Mainly the first one.

I’ll take some good road track racing also. Love the bumping and spinning of each other

Who you guys think or want to win the season? Harvick is off to a great start. Wonder if it'll end up being him?
Would love to see Truex get in it. I didn't get to watch the race yesterday but the race last week was awesome.

When Kyle chased down Chase and passed him on the final lap. I don't like Kyle, but that was awesome. Was there to witness it too. My first one in 2 years, and to see a guy dominate the way Chase Elliott did, to let it slip away, or to have Kyle battle to the front to win, that was awesome.

I didn't get to watch the race yesterday but the race last week was awesome. MTJ is my dude. He'll get some wins. Still 32 points races left. I hate that Harvick has won 3 of 4 to start the season. Pisses me off, because if MTJ did that, or a Gibbs driver, nobody would be saying how great the driver is.

Me personally, my favorites are MTJ and Logano. I know that last one is a bit weird but I've liked him since he came on the scene. There was a rookie that did well in the last race I watched and he could very well be Rookie of the Year.

SodaGuy Should I bite the bullet and pick up NASCAR heat 2? Its $39.99 (doesnt look like Ill find it clearance out)...I just read the 2018 cars are on there now. Are they not doing a Nascar heat 3 I assume?

Are they not doing a Nascar heat 3 I assume? I'm not SodaGuy but Heat 2 should be $29.99 at Best Buy. The 2018 DLC serves the same as the 2017 DLC did on Heat Evolution. Just a holdover until the next game, which should be later this year, around September like the NHE and NH2. And in a bit of breaking news, Lowe's will NOT be returning to the #48 in 2019.

Are they not doing a Nascar heat 3 I assume? $39.99 isn't a terrible price but the 2018 DLC is another $10 so you'd basically be spending MSRP for the game + 2018 update. I'd obviously go with Best Buy, like "The Visionary" Eldniw mentioned, since it's on-sale for $29 there.

Lowes just announced that they won't be returning to the #48 team next year. This is big (surprising) news but the writing was really on the wall for the sponsorship. Jimmie re-upped for three more years with Hendrick and Lowe's only re-signed a year extension which should've been a clue that they were looking at the door. Lowe's is also slipping behind Home Depot is more than one avenue of their business. Lowe's is using the sponsorship space on the #48 to promote their "Lowe's for Pros" which accounts for 30% of their overall business. Home Depot has a similar program and it accounts for 40% of their overall business. It's not in "trouble" but any means but when you're spending millions upon millions of dollars on a sponsorship program in NASCAR [while your competitor is not] and you're still losing? You're going to question the return on your investment there. Plus.. NASCAR f***ed themselves and teams by accepting a sponsorship agreement that costs less to sponsor the ENTIRE SERIES than to sponsor a team for a year.

didn't see this coming. Jimmie shouldn't have problems finding another sponsor though, he's a 7 time champion.
