There are only 3 drivers I absolutely dislike. Brad, Joey, and Johnson. After listening to the Dale Jr Podcast with Kyle apparently I was one of the unicorn fans because I was a fan of them both.

He won’t do anything. Someone always gets asshurt because of a block or this or that and wants revenge and nothing ever happens.guess when he’s becoming irrelevant he gotta do something to get his name out there

When Johnson was on his championship streak I couldnt stand the guy but now I find myself wanting him to get the 8th if Stewart's guys can't get it. Never have liked Kyle even when he was Stewart teammate he was always to arrogant for me but I still respect his driving ability just dont wanna see him win. My favorites besides Stewart's drivers are Chase,Larson and Blaney.

In gaming news, NASCAR Heat 3 has been announced. The Hendrick stable are the cover drivers this year. NASCAR Heat 3 is the sequel to NASCAR Heat 2, with industry leading developer Monster Games returning to the helm. NASCAR Heat 3 boasts a variety of new features, including a deeper career mode, additional race tracks, expanded online multiplayer features including online tournaments, and a brand-new fantasy dirt-racing experience: the Xtreme Dirt Tour. The Xtreme Dirt Tour in NASCAR Heat 3 allows players to compete across eight new dirt tracks. After finding small town success, players will experience authentic NASCAR racing as they build a career in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series™, NASCAR Xfinity Series™, and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series™ alongside the biggest names in motorsports. Players will also be able to manage their own race teams as team owners in NASCAR Heat 3.
The ticket program started with NH2 has been brought back and expanded. The $50 voucher will be valid at any of the 8 Speedway Motorsports Inc.-owned tracks, and Dover International Speedway [!!!!] and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The game is expected to release on September 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
Looks like I may be headed to Dover in October. The $50 voucher is basically a free ticket. Gotta make sure I can get 2 next to each other so my wife can go.

Is heat 2 any good? Might pick it up for 20$ Worlds better than Heat Evolution. I'm kinda interested to see how career works out in NH3. And it said you will be able to manage a race team as team owner. That's enough to get me to buy it. Even if the rest of the game is the same as NH2. I've always wanted to run a race team in a game like this.

Is it at all concerning to you guys when you look how empty the stands are at all these races? I know it’s been going on for a while, but do you think it’ll get bad enough where there is no more NASCAR? I think they are down for the second year in a row. They do it to themselves. Not as good of a product and charging crazy prices.

I still stand by the theory that the "boom" period of NASCAR hurt them more then benefited them because they tried to reach out to a fan base that was just there because it was "cool" at the time. Only certain people can watch cars go round and round every week. Closing down "southern" short tracks where you could get competitive racing and then sticking tracks in "thriving NASCAR areas" like Chicago, Las Vegas and Fontana was just a real genius idea!

Could there be a day where NASCAR isn’t on tv? That’s a scary thought. if it isnt, its not going to be from viewership. NASCAR still pulls decent enough ratings where networks will put it on tv. Just this past Sat night I think there were like 4 million viewers. That's a lot of sets of eyeballs. NASCAR just needs to figure out how to pull the fans attention span back. Its much like baseball. Baseball is a great sport but its boring as . You watch the first 2 innings, take a nap and watch the 8th & 9th and you rarely miss anything.

Baseball is a great sport but its boring as . You watch the first 2 innings, take a nap and watch the 8th & 9th and you rarely miss anything. LOL I've often said that baseball is boring because nothing is going on 90% of the time. Take the average game, edit out all the dead spots, and you end up with about 15 to 20 minutes of actual play. A NASCAR race can fall into the same pattern of long periods of nothing followed by a sudden burst of OMG and then back into another long dull period. But neither is as bad as soccer. Soccer needs a shot clock and an equivalent to the NBA's backcourt violation. Force them to do something other than pass the ball around playing keep away. Which all goes a long way to explaining why the NFL and NBA are my favorite sports to watch. That's my soapbox moment of the day. Sorry to interrupt any regularly scheduled Kyle Busch discussions.

I just realized that since I've been watching (2003) there's only been 1 new track added to the schedule (Kentucky). It'd be nice if that number was higher.
