-Driver wins the Cup with 1 victory & consistent finishes *Fans* "That's not fair, winning should count more then being consistant" -Debuts the "Chase for the Cup" *Fans* "That's not right you only have to win for the last few races" -Creates a playoff where winning matters *Fans* "But you're not giving the championship to the person most consistent" NASCAR fans and wrestling fans....the absolute worse. No matter what they do, the fans are gonna bitch. It’s like people across the fanbase have different opinions about the same topic and many have changed their views based on changes that they believe have been worse for the sport. But hey, by all means keep bitching about how we’re the “worst” for voicing opinions about the sport.

They keep tweaking how a national champion is decided and after every tweak people find the flaws in it and demand more changes. The perfect system doesn't exist. This year Nascar had three undefeated teams and a two loss team that somehow beat them all. Takes a while for the sour taste to wash out.

Good to see someone else who sees that NASCAR championships have everything to do with storylines, not merit.

Everything is flawed and every thing Nascar comes up with the fans are gonna bitch about it...cause that's what they do. 2003 Ryan Newman had 8 wins and finished 6th in the standings. He didnt even have the opportunity to run for the championship. The champion that year had 1 win. While this system isnt perfect (and like I said, none are) at least the guys who are winning have the chance to run for the title.

I did like the old system but NASCAR wanted every race to mean something. So we get this points system. Regardless of any format, it’s down and at an all time low.

Mom thinks they should shorten the races. Most people nowadays are focused on their phones and can't sit to watch 5-6 hours plus of the races.
I think more short tracks would be great, less tracks that all look like Charlotte, etc... I watched the dirt truck race, it was awesome. Tony Stewart owns the track and want the top level(Monster cup) to race there someday.

Dale Jr. named pace truck driver for the 2019 Daytona 500.
Ready for the new season. Ready to turn a new page in a fan relationship with JGR drivers, since MTJ is there now. KB, Hamlin, Jones are my guy's teammates, as such, they'll see support from me. Always supported Erik anyway since he ran the 77 in 2017.
The 78 charter has been sold. Spire Sports And Entertainment bought the charter, will field the 77 car, Chevrolet will manufacture. Driver, sponsor, tech alliance information at a later date. I could see Kyle Larson head there when his deal at CGR is up, depending on how successful the team is. Larson is currently represented by Spire, so there's a working relationship already in place.
John Hunter Nemechek will move to the Xfinity Series full time in 2019, driving the 23 GMS car. 2018 champion Tyler Reddick is leaving JR Motorsports, to take over the 21 ride vacated by Daniel Hemric with his move to the 31 MENCS car. Ross Chastain takes over the 42 CGR ride in the Xfinity Series.

JRM has announced that the 9 car in the Xfinity series will be run by a handful of drivers. First announced is Zane Smith, a member of the 2018 NASCAR Next class. Smith will drive 8 races, beginning at Las Vegas in March.

Ugh they used a horrible font on Hemrics 8 I agree that font is horrendous. They should have brought back the italicized 8 like when Jr. was in the car. Match the italicized 3.

I understand they cant cause Teresa and DEI own the rights to that style or font or whatever DEI doesn't exist. Least as a race team. Teresa merged into CGR not long after Jr. Left. They became Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, until 2014 when Chip bought her out and returned to CGR. I just don't get the ins and outs I guess. I dunno how one person, who has nothing to do with the sport, can own a font style. *shrug*

Yea idk either maybe its cause Childress has an easier time defending the use of the 3 since it was also partly his but if he used the 8 he would clearly be ripping off Jrs legacy
