How can the caution come out before Denny crossed the line for a wreck on the frontstretch?
Just now showing a replay. Officials having itchy trigger fingers good grief...

NASCAR is really lucky there was an attempt to fight post-race. It’s the only interesting thing to happen in four hours.

Penske just bought the world. They've been talking about NASCAR and Indy running a same day double-header. Look for the Brickyard to move to Memorial Day weekend within....2 or 3 years tops.

I heard Jerry Punch mention that on the radio today. I just cant see NASCAR moving the 600 for it though. I'd almost expect F1 to get into the fold and IRL and F1 do a double header or NASCAR and F1

Well.....Darlington is out of the Labour Day weekend spot again and the 2nd Daytona race isn't at Independence Day weekend anymore next season. Plus ISM closes the season in 2020.
Plenty of changes abound. It'll be weird af. But change happens in this sport like we change our socks.

So... when is NASCAR gonna issue fines against itself for hurting the integrity of the sport? That interest must be cray.

Reports coming in that Cole Custer will be called up, and he will replace Daniel Suarez in the 41, starting in 2020.

UPDATE:
Suarez has confirmed he will not be back in the 41. No confirmation on Custer but all signs point to [Lauderdale] him.

Seemed obvious to me Suarez was going bye bye. When commentators were making a huge deal about his push to make the Playoffs and what effect it could have on his future with SHR, I thought, "Nah."
Regarding the Championship, I will predict Denny Hamlin. They've been pushing him all year, and NASCAR owes him one for how many times they've jobbed him out in past years. He'll squeak it out from under Truex, who will be strong for most of Homestead. Harvick hasn't done too much. I wonder what they are cooking up with Kyle Busch's tension.

Realistically both Custer & Jones likely have better upside then Suarez does but its gotta suck being pushed out of two teams like that. I also wonder how long the Stewart-Haas relationship lasts knowing that this is the 2nd/3rd time Gene Haas has made a decision with the 41 car against Tony's wishes.

I'm so damn happy about Kyle Busch winning his second championship. The on-track product has really been "eh" for most races. But hey.. Kyle got a second championship out of this mess so I'll take that any day of the week.
