Gordon sucks on restarts when morons like Harvick and Menard slow him up. They did throw a caution with Gordon leading, never should have though. If Gordon blew a tire I would be sad, not complaining. Maybe you should open your eyes and realize that sports have and always will be manipulated for profit. NASCAR is considered entertainment, like the NFL is under business classifications. Then if you find it unfair and are so unhappy about it, stop watching. Complaining on a toy forum isnt going to change anything. Not complaining, stating facts.

I'm a casual NASCAR fan and races like today are why I will only be a casual fan. Johnson and Gordon obviously had the best cars but bad luck leads to guys who were non-factors for 99% of the race running one-two. I have to wonder why more of the leaders didn't go for 2 tires on the left side only at the last pit stop to retain position as it seems like most of the blown tires were on that side? Maybe one of you more hardcore fans can clear that up for me as I'm a little stumped.

It was very possible that the ones that took two tires could have sank like a rock compared to the ones with 4 tires. They just got lucky that they maintained as good as they did.

The best teams in the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL dont always win. A team can have good/bad luck in one week that completely changes everything for the season. Same can be said for NASCAR. Car A might be the best but in lap 250 he/she has problems and doesnt finish, that doesnt mean the sport is fixed/crooked or sucks. Luck is a huge part of all sports.

I'm pretty thrilled with the fact that I picked Landon Cassill for my fantasy team. I assumed that he would finish better than he started (43rd) and that would get me a couple of points. The gamble took him to a Top 25 finish and scored me 39 points.
BOOM. CONFETTI.

Car A might be the best but in lap 250 he/she has problems and doesnt finish, that doesnt mean the sport is fixed/crooked or sucks. Luck is a huge part of all sports. Just to be clear, I am in no way saying the sport is crooked, fixed, or sucks. I understand that luck plays a part in all sports as well. Today it was obvious Johnson and Gordon were running away with this race until Johnson pushes his tires too far and Gordon gets bit by a caution with 2-3 laps to go leading to someone who was a non-factor all race winning. That is why I am a casual fan only. Its a little too random how 198 laps can be rendered meaningless if there is a caution and re-shuffling of the field right before a 2 lap finish. The result is that I enjoy watching but I don't get invested in any of the drivers because sometimes it just seems like I'm cheering for a specific number to come up in the lottery.

Okay.. I'm starting to believe that the tire issue wasn't Goodyear. There were teams running really low air pressure compared to the recommendation by Goodyear. Some of them were running 8 pounds less then the minimum Goodyear recommended. Jesus.

Therefore that's what the NASCAR nation should believe. It's the word of God.

I've already stated this on another forum, and I'll state it here.
NASCAR's consistency is BS. Carl spins, caution. Stenhouse spins in the exact same way while Johnson is leading, no caution. Bowyer spins while Gordon is leading, caution. All 3 were on the apron and moving forward, out of the way, when the caution came out.
Either NASCAR needs to start calling the same things, or they need to change their classification to sports entertainment.

Anyone else think that they threw the caution cause it was like the 4-5th car in as many laps that had spun? Clearly there was a problem with tires today. There comes a point where NASCAR does have to say "enough is enough". If they let them keep racing and Gordon, Junior or Kyle his the wall and seriously injure themselves or others, are we still going to be bitching about consistency?

Spun? Bowyer was the first car at the end to spin. All the others just blew a tire and made it down to the apron. It was clear that until Bowyer spun, they weren't going to throw a caution. No cars had been in the way or hurting anything from the apron.

The bumps wouldn't been an issue without someone running around on 12 pounds of air pressure like some teams were said to be on. It's a cause and effect situation. Don't worry though.. I'm sure now everyone will hop on the "PAVE THAT TRACK" bandwagon and ruin what has been good racing. And them I'm sure the same thing will happen when someone tries low air pressures at Atlanta. THEY GUNNA RUIN DA TRACKS

I'm honestly friggin shocked they didn't throw a caution for that, though I wasn't complaining because Gordy.

I'm shocked that they didn't throw a caution for that and when Danica's boyfriend went for a spin. I was just sitting ther elike "Uh.. you going to throw.. guess not.."
