Aric Almirola will retire from full-time competition after the 2022 season. Interesting as SHR just brought in Ryan Preece as a standby.

I wish he made that decision before last year when they could’ve try to bring in Larson. I’ve never been a huge Almirola fan but I’ve met him twice and the guy was great with his fans both times,that’s more then I can say about some of the guys. Wish him the best in his life after NASCAR,hopefully he goes out with a good season.

Almy suffers the first substantial damage to a NEXTGEN era. Interested to see the damage to that right front, whether the single lug failed after impact.

well so far i like the racing the NextGen is putting on. oh and lol at Ty Dillon getting two restart penalties in that last heat race, and getting DQ'd from the main show  |

Man,those Hendrick cars are f***ing unbelievable here. I'm just glad Alimorola had a good run but if the rest of SHR speeds are any thing to go on,doesn't look like a lot to look forward to Sunday.

Let's hope the second duel will be better, because this has been trash. At least the gratuitous contractually obligated FOX Nation car shots won't be a thing...
Kez wins his first ever Duel race in his RFK Ford. Typical NASCAR shenanigans gets The Money Team car in lulz.
RFK sweeps the Duels, Chris Buescher is declared the winner after Logano fails at blocking.
A ton of single file racing, pit strategy/efficiency did wonders. A disjointed booth couldn't cover up that.

I gotta admit I got a laugh out of the end of the first duel(and I'm a Ford fan)they was not gonna help each other get past Brad. Every move surprised me,I thought for sure Austin would've helped Blaney get by Brad but nope then Austin and Chase(great friends) got separated when trying to go for the win but all three end up fighting for second while Brad leaves them. Happy for Brad,lost his dad during the off season and took a chance on himself and got off to a good start.

Not 3 minutes into Cali practice and Harvick backs it into the wall. And we got a second with Chastain/Buescher.
Between the instability and the cars beaching themselves on flats, I predict a TON of caution laps tomorrow. Need to put these suckers on casters to get them towed off.
Cindric gets pole after half of the fastest 10 spin on their money laps.
