Maybe if you had a better name the prophet of Ash I would take your advice but sense you have an avatar of a dead guy smoking a cig. Sorry but that was literally petty. If that is your only defense legend. Wait a second Obo, I've got to go get some popcorn. Get some popcorn. Brother I can shoot with the best of them.

I'm confused here. Who wrote the segment? Doesn't everyone write their own segments or work on it with whoever else is featured in the segment?
I would never allow a piece to run on one of these shows featuring Drakz unless I had read it first and made adjustments accordingly, the reason being to avoid moments like this.

Obviously I wrote it. I admitted it two pages ago when Matthews mentioned "mate". I told you weeks ago Matthews was replacing Carter, and you never responded to me. Something needed posted. If you had any interest in doing it you know I would have walked you through it. Hell, I even came to you telling you I would help you one on one.
No one did it. Something needed done. I did the best with what I had. Do not like it? You can do it yourself. Not like I have not offered to help.
But there would have been bitching if nothing was done ("You said he was being replaced" "Why was there nothing") so...I mean, it is whatever. The opportunities are there for you to learn. Up to you to seize them.

Wait a second Obo, I've got to go get some popcorn. Get some popcorn. Brother I can shoot with the best of them. Yeah? I'm going to try to be as separated from this as I can, because I don't see the sense in being unnecessarily mean. Your character that you've had what, two, THREE matches with, came directly from a movie and is not your own creation. Your character name, picture base, and nicknames come from there. My nicknames are my own creation and have been earned in this federation over the last ten years. Prophet of Ash, it's because what's left behind me is scorched earth. My picbase is Kurt Cobain, because no one else has used Kurt Cobain and he fits the image I'm wanting to project of a small, wirey individual with very dead eyes. There's a lot of images out there of him where there's just evil to his eyes, including the one in my avatar. It's a lot more impressive for a below average sized person to be dominant in the land of monsters and giants than a three hundred and fifty pound guy. As a writer, it is more challenging to write matches that way, because you have an obstacle to overcome in size. I don't think you understand the way this federation functions. I don't think you understand what it takes to develop a roleplay or what you need to do to succeed. I don't know if it's because you've received bad advice from people like Andrew Carter, or you're just being completely oblivious. If you have got any advice from Andrew Carter, any at all, disregard it. Start fresh. Andrew Carter built himself one of the worst reputations around here that anyone has in years. I feel a bit of remorse for you that your character got involved with him and you did suffer the consequences of his poor decision making. Please do not make me regret that remorse. Participation in the federation is more than just writing a roleplay. There's match writing. There's segment writing to add to the show. There's things like graphic making that can make you more valuable to the community as a whole. This entire deal is DIY. There's no overhead corporation running the WFWF. Ringside is not paying Trace and Shawn to write and produce shows and the champions aren't getting win bonuses. It would've been nice if my 367 day reign as WFWF Heavyweight Champion meant 367 days of not working and writing for a living, but it didn't. This is a passion project and a group collaboration and the more you put in, the more you're going to get out of it. If you don't like the way people write your character in matches, write your own matches. In my latest run, I think there were only one or two matches I didn't write myself, because I wanted my character to move and act a certain way. One I remember clearly was a match I had with Trace. I was in the process of moving during the roleplay time and rather than slowing everything down by saying I wanted to write my own stuff, I told Trace I was okay with him writing it. I made sure I gave him detailed instructions on how I wanted Schneider to act. What his mindset is going into the match, what his motivations were, how he should out and out act. That's the benefit of having a completely unique to you character. You can know every aspect of your character. I maintain Twitter accounts for not just Phillip Schneider, but his daughter Samantha as well, because I know them completely. I know the way they speak. I know the way they act. I know their likes and dislikes. I know the types of TV shows and movies they would watch. This is stuff that doesn't even come into roleplays, but I've written their entire lives. The character of Samantha is fifteen and I've been writing her since 2006, so something like 8 years? Phillip Schneider is 29. I've been writing him for 10+ years. You don't get that sort of connection from simply writing, I guess it'd be considered parody? I don't know. I write a fantasy booking series as well on the side and while I've developed my characters well there, I certainly don't feel the same connection to them as I do Phillip Schneider. I can't. Schneider is something I've created and developed, from my own mind and life experience. I can remember key points in my life when writing Phillip Schneider's world was an escape from my life and the things going on in it. I sat on public computers in a hospital library when my mom was in the hospital for a triple bypass in 2005 and wrote a Los Hobos roleplay, because that was an escape from what was going on around me. You can lash out and say you're not going to take my advice and that's fine. But understand, the only person in this federation right now who has more experience here is Drakz, and he only started about two weeks before me. I was booking a section of this federation when both Trace and Shawn started and booked them both in their first matches. I booked Shawn's first feud. I don't think I'm speaking out of line when I say this because Shawn has said it on the record before, he's consulted to me for booking advice in the past because I do understand booking and booking scenarios better than a lot of people here. I'm going to pick on someone for a second because I know he won't take offense to it. Proggy sucked when he first started. Absolutely rancid. His first character was an Abdullah the Butcher rip off, including Abby as a picbase, and it was the drizzling s**ts. But he's taken advice from people who know what they're talking about and has been a sponge the best he can and now, he's in line to main event the biggest show of the year in the world title match, with a completely unique creation.

Now it might be the fact I've spent the past few hours drinking and find myself in the weird position of playing peacemaker but as far as I can tell everyone has admitted where they were at fault and it's quite clear how we can all avoid this happening in the future. Better communication when people write characters not their own, a more peaceful approach to problems with others work (I don't have high hopes for that one) and most important people should want to write their own matches and segments specifically to make sure things like this never happen.

Up to you to seize them. That's not true and I never said you didn't help me. When you messaged me you said for the next rp and I asked when you wanted this done by and you never responded. If you would have messaged me with a deadline saying have something for me by then I would have done it. I didn't get that I got next time do this and do that with no time table. Teachers don't give you homework and say get it to me whenever your ready. You told me you already you had it taken care of and not to worry and that's what I did. True or not. So for you to say that Is not the exact truth.

I sucked more than Samantha's friend Scarlett on a Saturday night. Just take what everyone is saying and absorb it. Write for your characters, feel your characters. I'm still struggling, I'll admit it. But find a groove, write for the fed, and work on your writing. Read a lot here and you'll do fine. Learn from the pasts, that is why its there.

...or quit, 'cause like, Trace, I've been drinking, but I don't get all peace and love off the Yueng, and I don't like your attitude.
You want to be buried? I'll do my first run back with Brennan against you, then you can get buried.

Kyle Matthews' reaction to winning his debut match...

So I decided to re-read the "Carter/Rocky Villain" segment, because I like to make sure I lash out with sound reason. Upon further review, Ivan Drago is totally making a mountain out of a molehill. If getting "buried" is now defined by your opponent landing a couple of shots, so devastating that your character is able to to walk away of their own accord, then Obo has buried writers of equal talent who've shown for their matches. If there's one thing that Apollo Creed has reason to be mad about, it's that "cheeky bastard" line, and all things considered, I've seen worse. Hell, when I tried digging up Chris Avalon 3 years or so ago, before I even had a chance to write for a match, Shawn wrote a run in segment and had Avalon talking like Jason Sensation playing Owen Hart.
Given Clubber Lang's relative lack of history here, let alone doing this gig at all, I'd say that, poor dialogue aside, the behind the scenes guys did you a real solid. Getting a start here and digging your heels into the ground with your first angle can be a pain in the d*ck, and they pretty much handed you one on a silver platter, complete with a side of fodder for your next RP.
In summation - man up. Take what was given to you, work with it, and (if you must), be Mason "the Line" Dixon. You don't have to take my advice. When Avalon (to me) got mangled in someone else's hands, I walked away, but I saved face by creating the best character I've written in 12 years of e-fedding. There are two other writers I let write that character. That lends a ton of validity if someone ever does butcher him again and I "overreact".

He's more boxer than actor, so you probably haven't seen him in much else. No, really though. You responded to his rp. On the front page. TODAY. There's nothing anyone can do to help you.
