So I have been collecting both Jakks and Mattel, and I have noticed there is a lot more variety in Jakks than there is Mattel. I never really collected Jakks as much because I thought RA was to big. But my Jakks collection has most people, from a completed Spirit squad, to a Droz figure. Two packs are no different, in Mattel you get the same guys like Cena, Cara, Kane and some tag teams but with Jakks I have La Resistance and The Gymini brothers.

Theres no question Jakks gave us the biggest variety of any wrestling line ever. Mattel will probably never get close due to the volume of guys in the CS line alone. The biggest drawback to the Jakks line would be the glaring omission of big names like Savage, Steamboat and Von Erich.

Go look at the figure database Jakks did it as well. There were plenty of Austin, Rock, Jericho, Rey, Taker, Angle and Cena, etc. In their day as well. It's the nature of the beast. The WWE and the retailers want more of the faces of the company on the pegs. But Jakks had the WWE license for 15 + years so they had a larger roster to work with. Between Basics and Elites they have released almost everyone on the roster. Where they are lacking is in the Classic line, because retailers stopped ordering it after Series 6.

There are 63 single card Cenas. Jakks does the same thing But yes, they made people like Simon Dean. Wish they woulda made a Blue Meanie.

Jakks did better with variety, but Mattel has better quality.
