I use sculpey. It is pretty cheap and easy enough to harden. I use a little space heater and just set the figure in front of that. It is the same concept as using a hair dryer. I don't know about molding belts though. I have never done that.

Here's a helpful hint reguared hair sculpting. The great Downfall taught be this trick. To achieve the texture/ style of African American hair press a bath towel firmly on the sculpey...it gives it a perfect curly haired texture.

Nice tip. That will be very helpful to all. For straight hair I was told once to use an old comb and it works pretty decently. You still have to use something else to make it perfect but it helps.

for the belts
Sculpey is your best bet you can also use two part Epoxys just shape it into the shape you want the Center medallion should be the basic size and thickness of a Nickel (you can go larger but I do not suggest going thicker) also give the piece a slight curve (use the belt strap as a guide) To attach the Medallion to the strap, before baking the piece you should attach a paper clip or one of those things that you use to bind pages together (I can't remember it at the moment it looks like a Tack but you can open up the point and it binds pages together)after the baking you can use the clip to attach the medallion to the belt
