Judging by that store closing banner that sign must be super old seeing how old that Kmart logo is

Seems K-Mart is on borrowed time, just like remaining book stores and video stores (Barnes and Nobles, FYE, etc)

I once saw a sign on some area rugs in a department store that read "WAS: $19.98 NOW: $19.98"
I couldn't help but marvel at such an amazing deal.

A furniture store near me once put a coupon in the newspaper for "0% OFF!" but I forgot to bring it. Luckily, they were nice enough to still give me the discount.

The only 2 things i like about kmart are:
1. They have the older figure in stock so it it easier to catch up
2. they have a good reward system

We had one close by us about 6 months ago.......with the exact same signage in front. Going out of buisness next to a NEWLY put up now hiring sign.......on a side note, i absolutely loved Hills as a kid......scored many Super Powers, MoTU, and Star Wars figure there.....a few GI Joes too.....although i generally got those at Childrens Palace,TRU and KB......i dont ever remember buying a wrestling figure from Hills though.

So kmart is dying a slow painful death... I wonder who's gonna be the new WWE headquarters. Idk about dying, they bought out Sears.

There's a sign still up by a city near me advertising a "Grand Sale" at some Piano Store. Been up for a good 7 years.

I LOL'd. Now I just need to see a Target with a similar setup... Harsh, I like Target. Mostly because I work there, and it's NOT Walmart.

I remember Hills & K*Mart were THE places to be in my childhood. Got my first Jakks figures at Hills. Can remember always getting toys at my local K*Mart (that is now a church) as a kid. I suffer from really bad nostalgic obsession (no, no, it's not a medical condition), and seeing things like this actually will ruin my whole day. Clearly, I fear change and modernization.

The company itself is still doing just fine, it's just certain stores going out. That being said about silly store signs, Kmart is notorious for putting up a sale sign that is like 2 cents off the regular price.
